Any idiott can write bulshite on wikipedia. Are you not the same clown who claimed here on Nairaland that when Queen Elizabeth came to Nigeria she rode in his Rolls Royce and when that lie was outed you showed neither contrition nor shame.

A man was the richest man in Africa and has no business legacy?

You can tell that bulshite to kids who were born yesterday.Tell us what business Ojukwu's father was into that made him so rich.
Oh I see. So anyone can edit material the internet right? Can people also edit books written many years ago? If you dont believe Sir Louises wealth (I dont care if his Rolls Royce was borrowed for the Queen or not, he was using a Rolls Royce around the sanme time to court ) I suggest you look for a book called "In perpetuity: Bio sketches of Sir Ojukwu". Their you can read how Sir Louis Ojukwu built up an enormous business empire after coming to Lagos in 1930.

Just Ojukwu Transport comany at its height had over 200 vehicles plying the roads. By the 40's when the world war broke out, the colonial government had to come and beg Sir Ojukwu to release most of his Trucks to them to aid the war effort.

Go cure your ignorance.
Politics › Re: The Most Powerful Words Nnamdi Kanu Said In The Courtroom. by zendy: 1:02pm On Dec 14, 2016
ISpiksDaTroof:
Hes a joker!

In Federal Court, here in the United States (which Mr.Kanu wants his trial emulated after) recording devices are not allowed in the court room. No phones, no cameras, no tape recorders. Nothing! So, here, if Mr.Kanu started to rant--- even after the Judge told him to stop being unruly--- U.S Marshals would have jumped on his back and broken an arm before you can say "Jack Robinson". Have you ever seen the kind of big, burly white boys we use as Marshals out here? Mr,Kanu would not dare try that nonsense. A 6'5, 265lbs all-muscle red haired farm boy from some backwater county somewhere in Kentucky would've gladly tossed him around like a rag doll the moment he opened his mouth to utter his first words.

Furthermore, since he clearly appears to be unstable, his case would be postponed at least another 6-8 months so that a full and complete mental evaluation could be conducted on him to determine if he is fit to stand trial. . The Court would also most likely order that, for his safety, Mr.Kanu be kept in Solitary Confinement (23 hours/day) and away from General Population Inmates. He, however, would be allowed an hour a day--ALONE--- for recreation and exercise (under the supervision of prison officials). All this will be done because his utterances and actions have shown him to be a very dangerous person who is prone to violent and irrational outbursts , and who (from his past and present words) won't hesitate to carry out his vows if he felt he could get away with it.

Then, next time he was being brought to court, Mr.Kanu (if he continues being violent after the evaluation and prescribed medications) would be wheeled into court handcuffed to his chair with a mask-muffler over his mouth to dissuade him from further disrupting court proceedings. We don't waste time Judging you in absentia. We will make sure you witness your own trial and conviction so you don't come tomorrow on Appeal claiming you were denied your right to Justice.

Finally, as I understand it, the Nigerian Government is not pushing for a "secret trial" as falsely claimed by Mr.Kanu. They are requesting that the identities of the witnesses be shielded. While it is true Mr.Kanu has the right to cross examine his accusers, it is also true that he doesn't have the right to demand that their faces and identities be revealed to the public. This even so because Mr.Kanu has severally shown himself to be a very violent man with an almost fanatical following by a very enormous amount of people especially from his ethnic group. So, it would not be outlandish for the court to fear for the safety of the witnesses were Mr.Kanu to call for retribution against them; ESPECIALLY if the witness(es) is/are [a] member(s) of his own ethnic group.

For this reason, to safeguard Mr.Kanu's fundamental right to question and cross-examine his accusers the Court could accommodate his rights and "needs" , by :

A. Having an "in-camera" proceeding witnessed by both Defense and Prosecuting counsels (under the eyes of a very few select number of vetted security officers who will be there to protect all parties) where Mr.Kanu's team would be allowed to view Pictures and names or the witnesses to be called against the Defendant. The Defense would not be allowed to leave with any of this evidence . Also Mr.Kanu will not be allowed to attend this proceeding; that is what he has lawyers for.

B. If the above is out of the question, then the court can order that the courtroom be renovated in such a way that the witness boxl be shielded from the public, but viewable by the defense and prosecution. It would obviously take time to generate the needed funds for a new witness-box with screening away from the public to be constructed so for that reason it wouldnt be unreasonable for the case to be postponed another 8-10 months to accommodate Mr.Kanu's demands.

There are so many ways to skin a cat. This is a case which, out here, would not see the light of day for at least another 4-5years owing to its enormity and severity. Nnamdi Kanu should be thanking his God he's not getting the American treatment there in Nigeria. He's joking if he thinks he's going home sooner than a decade from now. And thats how its played all over the world. He's lucky he's pulling those antics in unruly Nigeria.
There is something you forgot to add. If it had been the US, Kanu wouldnt have been arrested in the first place because his right to freedom of speech and expression would have been respected. Do you know how many secessionst groups there are in America who still hoist the confederate flag as their official flag and broadcast hate messages against the American Government out of back room radio stations? Most of these confederates, white supremacist groups and white nationalist are actually even legally armed while they call for the violent destruction of Government. They dont get arrested because their rights are respected.

Kanu did the same thing and he was charged with treason.

If it had been America, Kanus case would never have gone to court because a person cannot commit treason with their mouth.

I dont care if he has 100 girlfriends in Nigeria, Kanu is not my pastor and even if he was, his private life is his business. What we are concerned with is his message of freedom. Who he sleeps with in between is not our business. When a person encourages people to seek their right to self, that person is my hero. As a Nigerian who's only self determination was when Lugard named his ancestors after a common River, I dont expect you to understand.

exactly my point...a wealthy very educated man, fighting for what really? Biafra? And igbos are still feverishly contesting for political positions in nigeria. Majority igbos don't care. You can do a survey on it.
What is hard for you to understand? That a man believes in the freedom of his people to sekf determination?

Nielson Mandela was a young successful Lawyer wgen he took up arms aganst white minority rule to free his people from bondage.

Ojukwu was and Oxford graduate from the richest family in Nigeria when he declared his people free and fiught for 3 years to keep that freedom

There are many examples of well educated and successful people who gave up everything to fight oppression so why does Nnamdi Kanus own surprise you? Because you know if it was you, you could never give up all you have to fight oppression.

As for saying that majority of Igbos dont care about Biafra, if that were true, do you think Biafra would still be a topical issue today? Why is everyone scared of a referendum if they think that majority of Igbos would vote to remain in Godforsakeen Nigeria whatever their politics.

People who want to be free will eventually be free.

Of course we are in bondage. If we were not in bondage, we would have the right to decide who we are instead of answering 'Nigerian', a slave name imposed on our ancestors and handed down to us. When a person has no right to decide who they are, they aint free.

Kanu has no regrets, he dedicated his life to Biafra and he has said it many times that if dies for Biafra, he will feel honoured to die for his beliefs.

You think a man who is willing yo give up his life for what he believes in has regrets?

Thats is because you dont believe in anything except your pocket. As a Nigerian, you have become too cynical to understand that there are still men of conviction out there.

Nnamdi Kanus father is a wealthy king of their village. Nnamdi Kanu was a successful London based businessman. If he had wanted, he could have stayed back in London enjoying himself. But he came back, willing to suffer and even die for the freedom of his people.

That Biafra is fighting a lost battle with Nigeria and you guys are foolish to think that you can win. I laugh in Swahili.
You seem not to understand what this is about. Its about self determination and free choice. As an Igbo man, Nigeria being the most populous black nation with the biggest economy in Africa doesnt mean anything to me if it hasnt translated to social well being, political emancipation and peace.

Switzerland is just roughly the size of Enugu and Anambra and has just a population of 8 million people and is landlocked. Yet Switzerland has a GDP of $650 Billion while Nigeria has only $500 Billion. Swizerland is far richer than Nigeria, they have no natural resource.

I would rather if Igbo land was like Switzerland, small and effective, rather than be Nigeria, big and not worth writting home about.

People should be allowed to choose their destiny rather being forced to accept the destiny Lord Lugard chose for us all.

What has South Africa got to lose or gain if Nigeria disintegrates? South Africa is far ahead of Nigeria in all aspects of life, dont let the so called 'biggest economy in Africa' title fool you. That title doesnt mean anything if the people are not living well.

I think people should not get it twisted why Bruce Mayrock set himself alight in front of the UN building. He didnt do it because of Biafra per se. He did it because he was angry that the murderous regime of Gowon and Awolowo were starving millions of children to death and world leaders look the other way.

Has anyone ever wondered why someone like GEJ is been honoured with multiple international awards and invited to speak at internstional engagements but someone like Gowon who was fighting for the unity of Nigeria is rarely ever invited to any international engagement?

It is because what Gowon did by using starvation as a deliberate weapon of war is regarded as a war crime abd Gowon is percieved to be a war criminal.

Never the less, Bruce Mayrock was a true Biafran hero

South East, South South and Nigeria are all man made creations. Igbo, Ijaw or Izon, Efik, Oron, Ogoni and many others all existed before there was anything called Nigeria.

So the question is, since we were all forced together by the British, when do we get to decide who we are? Do we carry on answering 'Nigerian', a name imposed on us all by the white man? Why must our identity be the one the British gave us rather than the one we choose for our selves?

Unless that question of sovereignty, self determination and freedom is addressed, Nigeria is headed nowhere just like it has since 1966

Politics › Re: Yakubu Gowon A Silent Hero by zendy:
Yakubu Gowon belonged to that exclusive group of young Nothern officers in the 60's who destroyed Nigeria.

Gowon simply represents the Northern domination of Nigeria and anyone who thinks good of Gowon need to their head re-examined.

Gowon caused the civil war by breaking the Aburi agreement he signed in Ghana with Ojukwu

It was Gowon who abolished regionalism, created states, took away resource control and true federalism just so that him and his fellow Northerners could perpetrate 'divide and rule' and use it to gain political and economical control of Nigeria.

Gowon caused millions of deaths by using starvation as an instrument of war, an act that is today regarded as a war crime by the ICC. Little wonder that Gowon is still listed amongst the top 3 genocidal killers in Africa along with Mengitsu Haile of Ethiopia and Idi Amin of Uganda.

After the war, Gowon ran what is regarded as the most wateful Government in history amid unprecedented Oil boom.

Gowon never had any intention of allowing democracy to return to Nigeria. While military officers like Abubakar returned Nigeria to democracy within 2 years of coming to office. Gowon wasted 9 years with no plan to return Nigeria to democracy.

Gowon never represented anything good. He was just another Nothern officer who wanted 'one Nigeria' because of Oil money. Gowon was an evil man
