The events of last September prove otherwise. Forget Biafra cos it can never never rise again

The events of September where the Army went to fight unarmed people? Thats to the shame of the Nigerian Army that they only know how to fight people who have no guns but if it is against Niger Delta militants or Boko Haram, they wont be able to do anything.

I wonder what the use of training the Nigerian Army in the use of sophisticated weapons? They should have trained them in Karate since they are only good at fighting unarmed people.

Operation Python dance only made IPOB and Biafra far more popular than it was. More people thsn ever now believe in Biafra

They can achieve this with the help if foreign powers. It's the British who made them believe they were born to rule. Funny in 1956 the north was planning of secede. After independence the rich north, the economic engine of Nigeria were planning a plebiscite to secede from the impoverish South. The discovery of oil in Olobiri and the civil war changed all that. How such a wealthy fairly socially developed and promising with its groundout pyramids and heavy industries in cutie like Kano and functional railways in Kaduna morphed into the most impoverished part of Africa within two generations beats my imagination.

Why is it beating your imagination? Did you expect that Nigeria was going to get better after the white man left? Not a chance! Nigeria is just colonial 'roping together' of several ethnic nationalities who dont like each other.

In 1804, the Fulanis began a jihadist campaign where they successfully overran most of what is now Northern Nigeria. They were making incursions into the South when the British came and overran they themselves.

The British have since gone home and the Fulani have once again started their Jihad under the guise of cattle herding.

The truth is that the Fulani's own Nigeria. They are the power behind the throne and they dictate what happens and they control the Nothern oligarchy.

Thats was why Ojukwu fought to free his people frim Fulani imperialsm

Thats why the Fulani imperialists will send the Python after Kanu and IPOB for threatening their power but you will never see the same Python go after herdsmen killers, no matter how many people they slaughter in Nigeria. Kanu himself never killed anyone.

The Fulanis own Nigeria

Mr Zendy don't allow emotions becloud your judgement of Nnamdi Kanu. I agree it takes time to swallow the bitter truth about the fallout of IPOB, but in time you'll understand. Something can be dramatically killed when a noble idea (of which Biafra is) gets hijacked and built on hate, semitism, non-opposition and dictatorship. History will judge him fairly. But thank goodness the Igbo nation still survived the agenda of Kanu and his sponsors.

Your problem is that you are one of those people who is focused on the messenger rather than the message. What was Kanu's agenda? Self determination and freedom of his people?

You talk about semitism, but semitism is not a bad thing. As for not allowing opposition or dictatorship, IPOB is Kanu's brainchild. He allowed to be the dictator of IPOB. Anyone who doesnt like it is not forced to belong to IPOB or subscribe to Kanu.

As for this talk about hate speech, frankly speaking, considering what Kanu's people have been through in Nigeria, people should honestly be thanking Kanu for using hate speech only.

1945 Jos Riots

1953 Kano massacre

1966 wholesale killings in the North in which over 50,000 easterners were butchared in cold blood.

Millions gone in a civil war.

And you are here talking Kanu's hate speech?

Boko haram slaughtering people, Herdsmen slaughtering people, cultists and militants slaughtering people. But your main headache is the hate speech from Kanu who has killed no one? What a joker

There is nothing for the Igbo nation to survive at the hands of Kanu which is not one million times worse than what they have survived for being part of the disaster called Nigeria

Please nobody should mention Nnamdi Kanu here. He is simply a chalartan and con-man that got exposed. Kanu singlehandedly killed the Biafran Ideology and don't ask me how he did it.-River state.

Nnamdi Kanu has never claimed to be an Igbo leader. He is the leader of a multi-ethnic independence movement of which Igbos are amongst. Unlike others you mentioned, Kanu has no interest in politics or political power. As for killing the Biafran ideology, Kanu took it to higher hights than anyone else since Ojukwu. The Biafran ideology is not something anyone can kill, only a superior ideology can kill another ideology

Igbo Presidency? What did Yoruba Presidency do for Yorubas for 8 years under OBJ? What did Ijaw Presidency do for Ijaws in 5 years of GEJ? Igbo Presidency is worth nothing because it will do nothing for Igbos

Good governance? Not possible in Nigeria. Nobody has seen good governance in Nigeria since the white man handed over and left in 1960. The reason that good governance is not possible in Nigeria is that nobody really believes in the Nigerian project. Nigerias unity is all about Oil, and not because the Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa-Fulani man even like each other or have a sense of purpose. Good governance is not possible in Nigeria

Biafra? Now this what I agree to. A fresh new begining from the disasterous failure called Nigeria where Igbos and their kindred minorities can articulate themselves, come up with a genuine constitution and restructure themselves properly. The only worthwhile choice there is Biafra

But if it is your Fulani kinsmen, armed to teeth and killing people, thats when.........

“To infer therefore that nothing has been done, is incorrect. The police are strenuously working to apprehend the rest of the culprits of these heartless killings.

So Yorubas are now considering self determination? These were people who constantly attacked Nnamdi Kanu for his expression of self determination.

Now the same Yorubas now think it is a viable option if Nigeria is not restructured? Who is fooling who? Yorubas dont have what it takes to agitate for either restructuring or self determination. The best that Yorubas will do is just make mere pronouncement which will end up as mere words. Their agitation never goes beyond words.

Those who should talking about restructuring or self determination are those who have gone beyond talking to actually agitating, people in the SS/SE area

http://blogs.findlaw.com/blotter/2016/01/criminal-penalties-for-murder-threats.html

We all know you can't threaten to kill the president. But what about a normal person? Or a whole race of people? Does it matter if it was on social media? And do emojis count?

While the First Amendment protects our freedom of speech, certain speech, like threatening to kill someone, can be a step too far. Here are the penalties you could face for murder threats.

Credible Threats

State laws also prohibit threats in specific circumstances. For instance one girl in Colorado was arrested for posting a gun emoji to social media with the caption, "I have a gun in my backpack." Two other Colorado girls face felony charges of conspiracy to commit murder over an unspecified threat to a school. Under Colorado law, knowingly conveying a threat to cause death to a student, school official, or any employee of an educational institution is a class 1 misdemeanor and could mean 18 months in jail and a $5,000 fine.

keep making arguments on what you don't know , next I'll brings names of those who were jailed just for making a threat not even that they carried out the threat. you'll be right inside your room concluding things with your own mere assumption and believe without any single fact to back it.SMH.

You are laughable. Quoting American law and the law handbook as if this is the issue. This issue is very serious to resolve. Just answer two questions. If you say that verbal threat on ones life is a criminal offense:-

i) State where it says so in the 1999 constitution of the federal repuplic of Nigeria

ii) Give us one example of anyone in Nigeria since 1960 who has ever been convicted of making verbal threats to ones life in a democratic era. Since you say this is a crime and Im aware that millions of Nigerians regularly commit what you say is a crime, it should not be too hard for you to mention anyone who has been convicted for it.

If you cant anwer any of these two questions then stop making noise.

“There is a laid down rule and regulation. The military are the last line of defence. We cannot become the police. It is only when the police go in and they find it difficult that we move in. In a normal situation, the state governor will ask the President, who will take the request to the National Assembly before military is deployed.”

The hypocrisy of the Nigerian Government is just too much. For a long time, they going to be haunted by operation Python dance for its crass illegality.

When it is IPOB, the Nigerian Army becomes the Police and first line of defence.

When it is the presidents own people, killer Fulani herdsmen, the Nigerian Army becomes the last line of defence and must wait for the Police to do their job?

Some times I am forced to think that Nigeria is cursed. How can you arrest people with playcards that are seeking for their freedom and leave those with guns that are killing people any how.

Because this people are from southern Cameroon that is why you arrested and locked them up and even denied them access to their lawyers of it were the other side of Cameroon you would have given them a place in Aso rock.

Nigeria is cursed. It is common knowledge that the 12 separatist leaders came to Nigeria for a meeting because it was not safe for them to hold the meeting in Cameroon where President Paul Biya has been chasing them for years. These men face persecution and torture back in Cameroon and a democratic country should not be deporting people to a place they face torture.

The problem is that the two dictators of Nigeria and Cameroon, Paul Biya and Buhari, are old men who dont understand anything about self determination. Nigeria and Cameroon are both signatories to article 20 of the African Charter snd article 2 of the UN charter on self determination. Biya and Buhari are just old men who have the old style mentality that the unity of every country is set in stone.

Just what did the 12 separatists do that this Government would deport them?

This is what we don't get about you people either. If a Yoruba man have this type of sick feeling towards another person, he voluntarily choose not to come near that person no matter what - evidence can be found in their migration pattern. So, with that in mind, you claim you hate some people so bad that you will die to have another country, but then you also want rights to continue to live, and send many more millions of you into those people's land, and even harass them. Then turn around and blame them for not giving you a helping hand with your secession plans. wtf? Yes you are totally right, we are, and shall remain two parallels.

Who is talking about hate here? That fact that a person doesnt like another person does not necessarily mean that hate exists between them. In my work place, there are some people I dont like. But it wont stop me going to work tomorow and working with them.

On social media, it is believed that Igbos hate Yorubas. In as much as this is not physically seen in public and their is a peaceful co-existence between this region from Lagos to Nnewi, i would like to get the opinions of Igbos on this topic, and also ask the Yorubas the reasons for their assumptions.
And also ask if Igbos are confortable with the over 5000+ churches pastored by yorubas in the east?

Igbos generally dont like Yorubas. However, the fact that an Igbo man does not like an ethnic group does not mean that the Igbo man cannot live amongst that ethnic group in peace and do things that are mutually beneficial with them. The Igbo mans mind is "business like",thats why he can live anywhere in the world.

But can the Igbo nation and the Yoruba nation come together to do anything? Not a chance!

Igbos and Yorubas are very different people and they dont understand each other. How a Yoruba man sees things is very different from how an Igbo man sees things. What made this even worse is that Igbos and Yorubas had little or no contact before the coming of the white man. The white man brought two strangers together hoping they would connect, doesnt always work out like that. But the two tribes are very civilised, thats why they havent killed each other yet

Anyone hoping for restructuring is wasting their time because everyone knows that the core North will never agree to it. The only organ that can restructure Nigeria is the National Assembly and the Core North control over half of its membership. So how will anyone pass a bill on restructuring if the North does not support it? Its impossible

So, that leaves self determination. Eventually, most ethnic nationalities in the South who think Nnamdi Kanu is a fool will eventually have to do what he did, or remain slaves of the North forever.
