What lies? These are historical facts. Wasnt Governor Fajuyi murdered in Ibadan, Yoruba land? Wasnt Brigadier Ogundipe supposed to take over after Ironsi as the highest ranking officer of the time? He was chased out of Lagos, Yoruba land, to London. The Northerners literally slapped the Yoruba nation in face right in their own land, Yorubas turned the other cheek. This is what emboldend the Northerners to kidnapp and slaughter MKO decades later, they knew that Yorubas would do nothing just like they have done in the past.

To make matters worse, When Ojukwu refused to let his people be treated in the same degrading manner, Yorubas called Ojukwu a fool for not accepting Nothern domination.

Even to this day, when a Yoruba man sees an Igbo man or an Easterner agitating for self determination, they will say it is foolish and come up with every reason why the Igbo man should accept Northern dominated Nigeria.

Let me guess - the authors of that book (i.e. Obinna Uwodim, Uzo Nwamara and Priye Iyalla-Amadi) are full-blooded Yoruba people, right?

I dont care who wrote the book. As long the book wasnt written by Elechi Amadi himself, its veracity is quetionable. If the book was written for Elechi Amadi with his approval, there should be a section where he states that the book is an actual representation of his life.

Whilst i like the idea of an Igbo nationalist party like APGA. I see a need to unify the entire SS/SE ahead of the 2019 election. Perhaps the call is abit early but it is a step in the right direction if they want to replace the Buhari led APC administration.

2019 is no longer an important issue for many Igbos, nothing changes in Nigeria no matter who is in power.

But why did the coup succeed? It succeeded because of the fearfullness of the Yorubas to ever have the backbone to confront the Northerners head on as Igbos once did under Ojukwu.

Can you imagine if Enugu had been capital of Nigeria and less than 5000 Northern Soldiers will go down there and chase Agu-Iyi Ironsi away, kill Governor Ojukwu and then to add salt to injury, they bring Gowon and say they will rule Nigeria from Enugu through Gowon? All this while been sorrounded by millions of Igbos? None of them would have left Igbo land alive.

Of the 3 gepolitical zones in the south of Nigeria, the only place the Northerners can get away with this is in the SW becsuse everybody knows Yorubas can only fight with their mouth.

Yes a generation of Igbos were wiped out but that was while fighting for their right to self determination.

If you cant fight for your God given right to determine who you are, what then can you fight for?

Funnily enough, the word 'Biafra' has nothing to do with Igbos. Biafra has no meaning in the Igbo language. Even Asari Dokubo said it that the word Biafra has more to do with the minorities of Southern Nigeria such as Ijaw, Ogoni, Ibibio because it was those tribes that lived along the 'Bight of Biafra' where the name comes from.

Even Asari Dokubo went on to suggest to suggest that the Biafra may have originated from the Ijaw word 'Biafulo'.

Historians generally agree that the term 'Biafra' comes from an acient empire which once covered present day Southern Cameroon and Southern Nigeria. Even old maps from hundreds of years ago have Biafra on it.

So the word 'Biafra' has never been something that had its origins in Igbo land
