Sometimes a wise person know when to pick fight or start argument.
Dis is a new year, enough of this igbo or no igbo stuff.
Are you a rivers indigene? If you are not, allow the people to choose how they want to identify themselves as.
Stop being emotional.
Being an indigene of the state, I know the various groups more than you.
The Igbo nation is great and not looking for numbers.
Stop this argument pls.
BTW wike 2nd tenure is sure.

Im an Anambra man, would I be allowed to classify the Igalas of Anambra how I like? No, they are Igalas. Nobody should classify anybody based on state creation, everyone should be classified based on ethnic group

All I see is a pained Yoruba man. The Yorubas dont have any moral right to be talking about the Benue killings for the following reasons:

The Yorubas gave Buhari the votes he needed in the South to win.

The same Yorubas were happy when IPOB that has no weapons and didnt kill anybody was attacked and proscribed as a terrorist organisation. They agreed with that decision. Now that Fulani are slaughtering people, some Yorubas such as the man being interviewed, suddenly realise that terrorism requries one to be armed and dangerous. The hypocrisy is too much

Now everybody has seen the prefretial treatmrnt that herdsmen killer are getting. IPOB says they want referendum, they get military invasion and terrorist tag

Miyetti Allah and herdsmen slaughter whole communities, they get cattle colonies.

Ok no worries

One of the best interviews Nnamdi Kanu granted before operation dance. I have to say that he was very forthright and gave highly intelligent answers. He even answered the question about soliciting arms in America which was all about defence against herdsmen attack.

Kanu is a highly intelligent man. He knows that Nigeria does not work.

Please my brothers, please help the Tivs, Idomas and other Benue indegens in this impending war. Please do not say it is their business because the fulanis will come for you after Benue.

The international community has turned a deaf ear to the pogrom currently going on in Benue.

Please help by calling the attention of whoever matter that Nigeria is witnessing a gorrilla warfare orchestrated by the fulanis.

This same Benue people that rejoiced when operation python dance was happening? Let everyone carry his own cross. They want "one Nigeria" but dont want Fulani herdsmen massacre? The two go hand in hand.

Except for the Benue Igbos (Umueze-Okoha), everyone else in Benue are on their own.

You want "one Nigeria"? Herdsmen are going to reformat your brain later

I agree there were issues before the first military coup but even at that, things were not this bad. We still had a nation then that most Nigerians look up to genuinely with pride as their own. The first coup broke that nationhood and the subsequent counter coup and civil war shattered whatever remained of the nation. The division, hatred, power imbalance etc that came out of those two events are what still defines Nigeria till today. Without the first coup and civil war, we wont be as divided and hateful of each other as we are today. Most importantly, the imbalance in our political structure wont be so pronounced as we have today.

Yes, America was able to rise above her own civil war to become the greatest nation in the world. But you must understand that Americans and Nigerians went to war for different purposes. America's civil war was more or less a war of morality, a war over what is good vs what is right. A war over the right to enslave others. The people who fought on the side of humanity won and so, it was easier for the losers to realize the evil of the slavery that they fought to keep. On the other hand, Nigeria's civil war was a brutal war over political power and resource control. Naturally, the winner takes all that they fought for, power and resources. So you see, we cannot really move on quickly like the Americans. Our civil war gave the north an undue advantage politically and it will take nothing less that 100 years to correct. That is why looking back, I wished the first coup and civil war never happened. Southern officers organized the first military coup which then led to a chain of events that culminated in the civil war. The North came out with the advantage after the war and not the south, that is the point i am trying to make.

Almost every country in West Africa went through military coup in 60's where the old order was brought down. But those countries later came together for the common good. If Nigeria cant do the same then we are wasting our time together. Also, there was already fire mountain before the first coup and the civil war. The 1945 Jos killings, the 1953 Kano massacre, the 1963 census riots, the election crises of 1964, operation 'wetie' in 1965. Nigerians were already killing themselves in huge numbers before and after independence. So this talk that the first coup and the war were the cause of all our troubles is false. Nigeria was already burning which was why Nzeogwu struck

The first coup was a very big mistake but the civil war was a bigger mistake. The first coup and the civil war unfortunately have defined Nigeria till today and they remain the bedrock of our country's division and failures. Looking back, I wish those two events didn't happen.

Even before the Military coup, the signs were already there that all would not be well with Nigeria. Personally, I dont think that the union of Nigeria was supposed to be. I think that Nigeria was the forced union of a people ethnically, religiously, traditionally and ideologically divided. Such a union will never be a happy one.

America also had a civil war, which still causes problems between North and South, even to this day. But America rose above the civil war to become the greatest nation in the world.

Igbos and Yorubas really should not be in one country. It is just the accident of colonialism that made it so.

Personally, I believe that Yorubas share a common destiny with the North, these are the real Nigerians.

It is the destiny of Igbos and and their kindred minorities to have their own separate country

So in order words what you are saying is that the problem with Nigeria is not the mindset of the people that is SO UPSIDE DOWN but the type of constitution and system of government. This country has passed through Parlimentary system, Military, and Presidential yet still DISEASED. My point is that the same DISEASED MINDSET have been running different systems all along. Yet its these same DISEASED MINDSET that will run their different nations along their diseased citizens after break up. THERE IS NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT!!! Breaking up is more or less breaking this DISEASES to SMALLER parts. Yes! The agitation for a break up of the country was as early as when it was 6 years old all because of GREED.

Let me put it this way. If a group of people who should be together are together, you will see things working because you will see them rise above politics, sentiments and petty things to come together for the common good. An example is Ghana where Ashantes, the Ewe's, the Mole's, the mande's and even Fulani's are not contantly fighting each other and proud to be Ghanaians. Today, Ghana is a model of democracy that American Presidents visit. They enjoy better electricity than Nigeria, better education, less crime and far less ethnic tension.

But Nigeria is made up of people who were fighting each other before the British left and fighting each other even more since then. Its not like Igbo/Hausa-Fulani/Yoruba are going to come together for a better Nigeria, they never have and never will.

So rather than keep up this charade of a nation, it is time for us all to go our different ways and admit that the creation of Nigeria by the British was a big mistake

According to a report by Ekemini Simon, the gallant troops of 2 Brigade Nigerian Army have in the early hours of today, Tuesday 16 January 2018 recorded another success in their bid to restore peace to the terrorized axis of Ukanafun and Etim Ekpo Local Government Area of the state by killing two gang members of the notorious killer, Akaninyene Uko alias Isoakpaefid who was killed yesterday.

According to a release signed by the Assistant Director Public Relations 2 Brigade Nigerian Army, Uyo, Major Umar Shuaib, and made available to this reporter, after the first operation which led to the killing of Isoakpaefid, the Brigade troops following another tipoff invaded the hideout of the remaining gang members at Ikpe village in Etim Ekpo Local government area on Tuesday 16 January 2018 and engaged the hoodlums at 1:30am.

I do not see what there is here to cheer about in this matter. All Soldiers should go to their barrak and not come out unless there is war or insurrection as stipulated in the constitution. Civilised countries do not use the Army to fight crime or violent criminals unless the Police cannot function.

This use of the Military to after agitators, cultists and violent criminals is in bad taste because the training of the military is crime prevention.

Everytime the Army comes out, there will be a clear case of extrer-judicial killings.

Look at a picture of a suspect with his hands tied behind his back, he obviously killed after he was captured alive. Who would tie the hands of anyone after they have been killed? A dead person will wake up and try to escape?

This is just horrible. Africans are just too backward

The break up will only become a NEW GEOGRAPHICAL MAP yet functioning as its original diseased whole. Unless the above mentioned DISEASES ARE CURED of which the whole country suffers from NORTH, SOUTH, EAST AND WEST. Hence, an infected country is ONLY broken into smaller sizes yet still DISEASED. My point is people should learn SELF RESPONSIBILITY.

Self responsibility is not something anyone will learn inside Nigeria. It is learnt outside Nigeria. Break up will not be a new geopgraphical map as the new nations that emerge will have different constitutions and different systems of governments.

Abegi forget that unrepentant sycophant that would do anything just to justify his pay check, how absurd can it get comparing IPOB with Fulani herdsmen, the former is fighting to break away from this country that they claim has not favored them without resorting to violence while the latter has no clear cut definition of what they want, all we know them for is carnage and destruction of farmlands wherever they go bt because they re more of a special breed of human than others having people in most government security agencies,so they re free to do as it pleases them.

Muhammadu Buhari even tried to make the international community label IPOB a terrorists group,a request that was turned down simply because IPOB doesn't qualify and satisfy the criteria used in defining a terrorist group, the long and short of this epistle is that Muhammadu Buhari is a bigot who doesn't even care to hide it,he rubs it in our face al the time daring us to do our worst or go to blazes..

True bro

What I have found is that Some Buhari supporters will keep supporting Buhari even when it is obvious that Buhari is wrong.

How can anyone actually equate unarmed IPOB who have not killed anyone with Fulani killers?

And people say it is because IPOB asked for a separate country. I wonder if this people know that under the UN and African charter, both of which Nigeria has subscribed to, any group of people in any country can ask for a separate state.

Illiteracy is a problem in Nigeria

If TRUTH must be said. NEPOTISM and TRIBALISM and many other EVILS are the STRUCTURES upon which Nigeria has been standing right from the days of OLD.

Awolowo had this to say On The Nigerian Civil War
"It appears to me that the causes of the last
Civil War lie embedded in the nether realms
of such degrading and depraving evils as
unemployment; mass ignorance; endemic
and debilitating diseases; low productivity;
abuse and misuse of power, bribery and
corruption; favouritism and NEPOTISM;
ETHNOCENTRICITY and TRIBALISM; much poverty and MUCH DISCONTENT."
- Address to The Nigerian Trade Union
Congress (1970): In Voice of Courage, 1981.

That is as far back as 1970. To be HONEST the Nigerian psyche is UP-SIDE-DOWN. The real battle is an INDIVIDUAL BATTLE. We need to learn to do the right things our own selves. Its has always been a game of blaming others while most are as guilty of the same crime. The answer is in YOU! Let everyone work on their mentality to become upright. Enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil any where we find ourselves.

The answer is fir us to break up and go our different ways

Case closed with restructuring.

What I would rather is see is asituation where Igbos are given a referendum to decide their continued participation of the failed country called Nigeria.

If Igbos the vote to go, Yorubas can go back to doing what they know best, talking about restructuring with no plan on how to get it.
