Explorers: The Ozone Layer Will Be Torn Apart.
. The ozone hole is not technically a “hole” where no ozone is present, but is actually a region of exceptionally depleted ozone in the stratosphere over the Antarctic People maybe thinking it's a "hole". in Nigeria climate bills and implementation is like planning to explore a rainbow moon Even our agencies (with learned staffs) are encouraging activities that will keep on depleting our ozone. Nigeria will soon be like some part of China and India where pollutants will reduce even visibility |

What are you saying, haven't you renovated your place (home, office etc even with your own funds) just to make the place better and luxurious. you know I mean governments in Nigeria, it's just few private firms that don't do maintenance. The few individuals that we feel is defaulting, check it financial ish will be the cause |

that is before VGC main gate (checkpoint) but I have always wonder why nothing was done after something less than this(flood) happened last year. We lack maintenance culture in Nigeria even some private firms ignore.
there is good drainage inside VGC but it can't channel the weight of the flood
Lagos needs to be replanted on a good drainage system according to the topology |

naturalwaves: You must really be so so young. Well, I am one person that will forever be so grateful to MTN for sponsoring the show. Although, I did not get to the hot seat, I am usually part of the audience a lot of times and I won nothing less than 260,000 naira from the fastest finger audience play and that went a long way in helping me during my school days. I remember leaving my house as early as 4:30am every 2 weeks Saturday to make the slot for the audience at the Ogba studio. I remember having multiple studio tags such that I could attend another studio session same day in case I fail to win 20,000 naira in my first show. I remember winning 20,000 naira severally and giving my keypad to complete strangers because I have won so many times and cannot win again. I remember Mr. Wale, the chief security man at the studio. I remember Anthonia, Seye and the rest of the crew. I remember travelling down from my Uni almost every weekend to make the show. I remember scripting the English alphabets on one side of my wallet so that I can get to recite it regularly. I remember introducing at least, 10 friends to the show who ended up winning on the audience play game.
Point of correction, the winner of the 10 million naira is not a Professor. His name is Aroma Ufodike. I was at the studio the day he won. I was in that particular session. In fact, before we went into the studio, I was right beside him and I remember telling him to tone down the puffs from his cigarette. He was under pressure and I guess puffing the cigar was his way of calming down. The security had to stop him before he complied. He was a business man then and he deals with irons. He studied something related to Geography.
One thing the experience with Aroma taught me is that, never underrate anyone. Imagine someone I was hitherto thinking was constituting a nuisance being filled with such repertoire of knowledge and going on to win the ultimate prize. he is an Explorer in real life having travelled to more than 7countries (not just visited but toured) You are correct it was business that made him travel alot |

Politics › Re: Goodluck Jonathan Replies El-Rufai On The Sharing Of Ecological Fund by Zetra(m): 8:09pm On May 26, 2017 |
El-Rufai’s sinister narrative was intentionally silent on the over N10 billion specially deployed to fund the Great Green Wall (GGW) project in some northern states, in view of the need to work with the rest of Africa on the African initiative to check desert encroachment in the Sahelian states. These states included Zamfara, Jigawa, Kebbi, Sokoto, Katsina and Adamawa. Others are Yobe, Borno and Kano which belong to Mallam El-Rufai’s class of ‘non-friendly’ states that he alleged never benefitted from any discretionary fund. I am not against the north but it calls for concern that the North is always receiving funds like x10 from XYZ, who, unicef, individual through various means(polio, desert encroachment, irrigation funds, idp, rehabilitation, education etc and still South is not fighting for the funds to be shared equally. How many of the so-called leaders & youth take time to think why there is still high-poverty-rate in the region? I remember how Bill gate then gave billions in naria to support eradication of polio and the locals refuse to take the vaccine. Nigeria my country |

Education › Re: How Universities Will Conduct Admission This Year by Zetra(m): 2:59pm On May 24, 2017 |
Statsocial: I hope living faith universities don't follow them to do this ridiculous catchment area and ELDS admission. How can you say that someone should simply get admission because of his state of origin. Are we trying to imply that the brain capacity of some particular people is inferior to others The best way to encourage ELDS is to build on their primary and secondary education. But when it comes to tertiary education everyone must be evaluated equally and fairly irrespective of your origin. Our foolish leaders would continue to encourage this rubbish yet none of them would ever want to be treated by an medical graduate of elds admission. Catchment area and ELDS won't work for faith based institutions and generally does not make sense for private universities. For instance 80% of CU's prospective candidates are drawn majorly from the SS/SW/SE. Crescent presumably draws candidates in a lopsided way too. There is too much complications with these jamb policies. The best would be to let the universities have full autonomy over their admission process. Pls explain more on Admission process will still put into considerations factors like catchment area and ELDS (Educationally Less Developed States) in determining the number of candidates admitted. Admission by merit is 45%, catchment area 35% and ELDS 20%. |

Illiterates suffering from comprehension-related ailments will soon come and explain how this is Bubu's fault. it's not Buhari's fault but please read Further investigations revealed that the authorities resolved to commence the payment in installments. The sum of N12.3 billion, representing the arrears for 2013, was subsequently included in the 2016 budget virement which was passed by the National Assembly, but the payment was never made. “The truth is that the labour unions across the MDAs have been agitated over the matter. It's not possible for the ppl in d store to keep that drug until it expires without them knowing. So spare me the english. you are blessed for seeing the big picture Instead of the ministry to allow it to expire they will: 1. Organise an open show "free hiv medicals" then collect like 2.5k - 5k for registration. Then people will sing the ministry/gov. praise. 2. Give it to private hospitals (owned by "them them" then recommend people to such hospitals All I see is a cover up, logistics my foot. |
