Now we are getting somewhere. Was this communicated to the Libyans to make them understand that? That is why I am talking about lapses. Did we communicate our inability and did we try to look for an alternative? That is the simple point I have been driving.

If the NFF did not have money, did they have a contingency plan to seek help for them?

In our government circle it is said that government is team work.
Zicky this route is one-way don't enter, jejely making a payment U-turn

Is it not the same NFF that said they offered the Libyans buses and they rejected. Does that not blow holes into you guys idea that the NFF should not do anything?

I am talking about lapses on our end. You guys are offering nothing to the table.

[b]NFF said the Libyans airborne requested for buses. Later the NFF said they rejected their buses, don't you see a hole in that?

My guess is that the NFF wanted the Libyans to pay for the buses and they did not have the money. Not that they rejected the buses.

But, the NFF came out telling us they rejected their buses. These are lapses on our end.

So what is biting you people?
The fact that you are even guessing makes it ridiculous.
Bro you are the only one seeing lapses because the Nfa was magnanimous enough to even offer them buses.
Our 2016 Olympic male team was stranded because our nfa was financially strapped, not even the IOC or the country host the Olympic could come to their aid.
But you want our nfa to provide flight, then maybe next time provide them with playing kit and jersey

Akwa Ibom State Government had already spent millions to host the Libyan team. The NFF were aware the Libyans were financially strapped. They did nothing but you don't feel there is a lapse in that.

Your problem is abusing me for feeling that we could do better and there were contingency measures we would have pulled to get them to the host State that was bearing the brunt of the costs.

You are angry that I suggested that at least the NFF, if they could not get support from Fed. Ministry of Sports, could have tried networking for support.

Your problem is to abuse.
Guy you are still on with this line. 🤦‍♂️.
Do you know how many times the nff have been financially strapped.
Did you hear the news that South Sudan only went with 15players for their game against SA because of finance. Which home country have you seen come to the rescue of an away team that is financially strapped when you are not their FA abi government.

My post October 15.

I was not talking cause an effect. I was talking of us cleaning our end. I wonder why such a simple point is hard to get.

It is about us improving ourselves.

Yea I get you, lemme say it was wrong timing.

The point is about us improving ourselves. Whether Libyans are animals or not is not the issue. We could do better.

Finito.
Bro leave this talk, the matter on ground was about the maltreatment our players experience in Libya, the whole media was talking about same issue but you wanted to sound woke that they must be a cause for their(Libyans) action.
We all here know how lackadaisical our Nff can be and nobody will defend, but you coming to bring up cause and effect at that point is you defending and supporting the terrorist action of the libyans

Finito

Conscientious.
Bro na you he dy refer to, you are right cos you use like a week trying to get us all to see why the Libyan acted the way they did. You want us all to see that the nff did something wrong by not paying for a flight to take the Libyans from ph to uyo.

Small time people will be comparing Eagles club players to the 94 set. Losing at home started with Booda Gernot Rohr and we got comfortable with it. Orientation dey different
Exactly, we are now comfortable losing at home. Even the 2015 set of SE that we call our lowest point were not this poor at home.

Same thing I'm saying, after the lose to SA in uyo, we just keep losing to smaller teams at home. It's annoying, we can't call our stadium a fortress.

Gabriel Osho has been good by the way. Smooth in possession and rugged in his duels. Fine tackler.

Has even registered 100% passing perfection. 39 accurate passes out of 39 attempted.

Very decent showing so far.
now let's bring back the Taminu vs Osho comparison.

This is absolutely spot on. more backwater league reports have been dropped here and heaven did not fall.

It wasn't a clamour for call up but a harmless match report.

When same people were reporting about him being superglued with aradite on the bench nobody turned brown but just a good report was turning them red.

I can bet with anything that those sets of persons are not even in the best in their professions. If they're to rate them in their profession they might not be in top 100 grouping but why not, there's somebody to bash to make them feel good.
For them if it's not negative news don't say anything about Nwakali.

Oya rate Tanimu and Osho in eagles colour😎......my point is opportunity not lowering invitation standard.

Yes it would be difficult for a player in lower league to get invitation but if opportunity permit and he did well then no wahala
Honestly I don't rate Taminu and for Osho I felt he was rushed into starting that away game, can't say anything about his rating until maybe after the ruwanda game if he play.
For national team invitation except you are an upcoming star, you can't tell in the whole country a division 3 player ( Taminu) is the best we can offer

Emeka Ezeugo got invited from India league and made US 94 team...Uche Okafor was playing a league I can't even remember...Thompson Oliha for sometime clubless .....Koko be say deliver in eagles colour if a player gets the opportunity
The truth is you must be performing at a top level to get a national team invite, if we start giving excuses for division 3 or farmers league fresh invitee into the team we might be giving chance for mago mago.
Oga 94 and 2024 are different era. The standard difference btw most league was not much.

Maybe I skipped some comments cos I'm still searching for the recent hype of Kelechi outside supernerd reporting about his performance for his club after a long while. This is witchcraft oh. Seems some here derive joy seeing the guy fail, Nobody asked for his recall to super eagles. Emeka always looking for every opportunity to ridicule the young man, even when nobody talks about him you find a way to bring negative news about him. The team was outstanding in general but some player shown like a star among whom is Osimhen.
Yea the team put up a very good show. I love Osimhen as a player and I'll pick him over Haland due to his all round game. But coming to say without Osimhen the team won't have gotten to the finals is a fallacy. If I'm to rate our players base on performance at Afcon Ekong, Lookman, Onyeka might be ahead of him.

I watched the entire 90 mins of this game and that easily qualifies for a top 2 worst Super Eagles performance in living memory. Please don't let the fact it ended in a draw deceive you. Benin really were the better side and should have won convincingly. It was so glaringly obvious who the better managed team was.

Who to blame?

Eguavoen has had several auditions and has serially proven not to be cut out for it at this level. Iwobi and Ndidi in a 2 man midfield? Starting with 3 centre backs but with no idea how to progress the ball through the lines? Not a single attempt at creating overloads on the Beninoise full backs, they did that to ours several times? Really really poor.

Iheanacho is finished at the top level. After he inevitably gets offloaded by Sevilla he will disappear into the ether. I don't see how he gets interest from a top flight team in any big league.

Bassey cannot be a guaranteed starter. He's all brawn no brains, very aggressive but no real physical qualities to talk about, not fast can jump ...simply not good enough to be starting every game. He's still young so might improve with time.

Iwobi also cannot be a guaranteed starter. We've seen his performance ceiling, it isn't very high and he hardly ever brings it to the party anyway.

Gabriel Osho was very very poor. I think it was a good idea to see him in this sort of game and the nerves of making his debut might have got to him. Maybe he gets one more chance. We need to try out a few more players here so his invitation was welcome.

Osimhen needs 5/6 clear cut chances to convert 1. His finishing for club and country are not worth the hype he gets. The best part of his game is his hard work, physicality and athleticism but against strong, athletic African strikers they don't leave him with any change. Remove the 7 goals he scored against Sao Tome and penalties against the likes of Sierra Leone and you'll see where his real stats should be. We still need him for his hard work but we need to remeasure our expectations. His goal today was his first for Nigeria since the AFCON opener against Equatorial Guinea in January.

Tired of writing....

NB: I missed the goal he scored Vs Benin in Uyo but still my point stands. His goal return rate is not good enough.
Guy I agree with you, the whole 23players are just not good enough nor are guarantee starters.
