Ibrahimovic, 34, has played in Sweden, Netherlands, Italy, Spain and France and would probably scoff at a chance to play for the two-time African champions.

But Enyimba have won the biggest club trophy in Africa, the CAF Champions League, and are in the race for a third continental title.

Ibrahimovic, 33, who has scored an incredible 111 goals in 121 appearances for PSG, has never won the UEFA Champions League despite a boatload of domestic titles from all over Europe.

Enyimba would probably be a good bet for the CAF version of the big trophy, so their bid is not that ridiculous.

The Sweden striker announced on Friday that he would be leaving Paris Saint Germain at the end of the season.
Ibrahimovic wrote on his Twitter handle: “My last game tomorrow at Parc des Princes. I came like a king, left like a legend.”

Enyimba replied rather cheekily: “Fancy a crack at the #NPFL, Ibra? That’s one thing missing from your CV… #WeAreEnyimba.”

You're collecting 30,000pounds per week and a team from China came knocking with 300,0000pounds per wk (4years contract) and you turned it down, that's ridiculous.

I trust my genuine Igbo boy, because I'm yet to see one who will take fame ahead of MONEY.

It bothers me what people like have turned Nairaland into. I still blame Mr Seun and all the super mods for allowing things to degenerate to this level.

Linda Ikeji took time to sensitize her blog readers, and it got to a point where tribal comments and abuses were not posted. I expect Mr Seun to start banning people forever so as to sanitise this platform.

We are all Nigerians. Nigerians are supposed to love themselves and see themselves as ONE.

We are not competing with ourselves!
You just spoke my mind bro, I believe seun and his mod should take 90% of the blame, they enjoy the tribal bashing going on. When I joined nairaland it wasn't like these, I get sick over this ethnic or tribal nonsense.
