Two teams in the Czech fifth division - SK Batov 1903 and FC Frystak - have set a new record for the longest-running shootout in history
A game in the Czech Republic was decided by 52 penalty kicks on Friday, the longest shoot-out in history.
Fifth division teams SK Batov 1903 and FC Frystak - both from southeastern Czech Republic - drew 3-3 after 90 minutes of a regional championship match.
It took 52 spot-kicks for the shoot-out to end 22-21 to Batov. The previous world record was 48 kicks.



Frystak had opportunities to win at 4-4, 11-11 and 14-14 but midfielder Jan Hrebacka missed the deciding penalty, sending it over the bar in front of a crowd of around 150. The full shoot-out was filmed by a fan and placed on YouTube .
Hrebacka was quoted by Czech newspaper DNES as saying "we wanted to go home", with chairman Vratislav Rudolf joking about missing a "family barbequeue".
The previous record was held by the 2005 Nambian Cup final between KK Palace and Civics, which went to 48 spot-kicks after a 2-2 extra-time draw. The Guinness Book of Records noted that shoot-out ended 17-16 to Palace.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries has been looking for a replacement for Libya’s Abdullah al-Badri, who was elected acting secretary-general in December until the end of July after serving full terms.
Barkindo led the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation from 2009 to 2010.

OPEC oil ministers meet on Thursday in Vienna. The consensus of all members – which in the past has sometimes been elusive – is required for the appointment of a new secretary-general
