I just hope he is not making a mistake of a life time, just what if this flawed election that brought in Tinubu is nullified in the court and a 'new sheriff comes to town',he is sure going to lose both jobs.
A technocrat and hard boiled professional who is good at what he does in his chosen profession does not have such issues. Mama NOI was in Nigeria as FinMinister for a while and is back to the World stage now and doing good. Akniwunmi who was AgriMinister is now at afdb and secured another tenure despite the stiff opposition of mighty USA who wanted him out apparently for focusing on helping Africa get real development.

I was also wondering at the reason for the angst coming from the lady. A visit to her profile satisfied my curiosity. She is a specie of the weaker sex who lay pretence to what they are not but cry secretly at their folly when loneliness and the other outcomes of their flexing show up! #feminist!👎🏿

You talked about hatred projected during the last elections but let me kindly remind you that no single Yoruba was harmed, beaten, or harassed in any way here in the Southeast despite the horrible treatment our people recieved in Lagos. We are a peaceful people.

You are welcome to my lovely state. I assure you, you have nothing to fear. Feel free and enjoy yourself. We have many Yorubas living and working in peace here without being harassed by thugs or asked to return to their state of origin. I'm sure you must have met some of them.

If your PPA is in the state capital, I would be honored to host you in my humble abode sometime. Nnooo nwannem. You are welcome.
The horrible treatment you talk about is self inflicted. That is what you get when you tell your host his land is “no man’s land”! Say that in Igboland where the landmass is small and population density high and you risk a machete cut on your neck! The Yoruba won’t do that In Igboland and reason they enjoy the traditional Igbo hospitality.

Promicah:
I feel overwhelmed by what just happened.

A little background information: I lived and studied in Ogun precisely before my called-up letter came. I saw Abia in my call-up letter and the next thought that crowded my mind was the hatred projected during the just concluded election.

Since I had no connection, I chose my fate and had to skip my reporting date to camp. After losing every hope of redeployment, I decided to follow the next batch.

Our driver stopped in Lokoja and we rested before we continue the next day to Abia.

I had to make a plan that when I have money, I will buy their native wear to disguise myself. Immediately I stopped at the Abia park, I entered the next bus to the orientation camp.

After our three weeks in camp, I reported to my PPA.

Yesterday, I wanted to get a recharge card from a kiosk beside the road and I met an Igbo man. He looked at me and immediately fear gripped me.

He asked me whether I was new in the area, I wanted to lie and say "no". But my mouth betrayed me.

He smiled and bought the item in the attached picture below.

What happened to us? I had to repent. Truly Nigerians are loving people. I couldn't contain my joy.

This is my first time in the southeast and just this singular act from yesterday has changed a lot about how I see Nigerians.

I know there are a lot of agitations but yesterday a Nigerian showed kindness to a Nigerian. It's officially my 1 month and 15 days in Abia.

Sir Nlfpm.od. This is my latest experience.
Thank God your experience was different. For me it was harrowing. At Iddo Park the luxurious bus loaders stole my bag containing ALL my personal effects. Till date I don’t have a single picture of my professional qualification photographs. I had them all in the stolen bag!!!😭. To worsen matters no sooner did I get down from the luxurious bus at Aba than a man bumped into me as if accidentally. It was only moments later when I needed the money in my breast pocket did it dawn on me that the fellow who bumped into me also stole from me in a flash! That was my first contact with the Igbo. That was close to forty years ago!! I must also state that I met nice Igbo while there!

See, The Igbo are going about this in the wrong way. Referring to Nigeria as “zoo”. Saying Lagos is a no man’s land. Saying “Asaba is Igbo land.” Drawing up Biafra map and including folks you do not have their consent to join Biafra. Victim Mentality Syndrome. Entitlement Mentality Syndrome. Overweening Pride. The usual entitlement mentality is at play here. Igbokwe yearns for acceptance by his Igbo stock. Unfortunately the Igbo are largely vindictive unforgiving bitter and lonesome folks! They have him locked up in their minds for betraying them having associated with APC for sometime now.

Igbo are free to go. But they will ONLY leave with their 3 and half IGBO indegeneous States. Which are Abia, Ebonyi, Imo and half of Enugu States.

Anambra and half of Enugu States are Igala ancestral Land and the North will never allow Igbo leave with an inch of Igala ancestral Land.
Only the profound see that the often touted map of Biafra is a classic illustration of what the problematic is all about! South east politicians if after meeting the Nigerian federal government concerning the insecurities in the east and how to release mr nnamdi kanu from illegal detention and the FG didn't do anything about it then, they should have an urgent meeting, after the meeting they should make a pronouncement that they are no longer interested in the nigerian project any more and would follow any due process to make sure that the region leave the nigerian state.

All the senators and Reps from the south east zone should move a motion in the chamber on self determination of south east from the nigerian state,I know other region will stand in support because they already made us believe they don't really need us.

I don't see why the same nigerian government that have been releasing bandits and Boko haram terrorists find it difficult to release someone the court have already ordered his release.
Igbo National Assembly members have been a disappointment eating from the palms of the FG and the Igbo!
Politics › Re: With Nothing To Leverage, IPOB Takes Their Madness To Other Parts Of Nigeria by zoedew: 8:46pm On Jul 15, 2023
AuschwitzPrefec:
The Lagos State govt and Yoruba nation should not sleep on the latest threat by IPOB to extend their sit-at-home madness to Lagos

Already, IPOB terrorists are very active in and around the Bakassi Peninsula with deadly attacks on oil installations. They are also active around the Akpabuyo remote areas of Calabar town and have significant presence in the Ikom border areas with Cameroon .

IPOB has found out that there is nothing they can use to leverage against the Federal govt from within the SE region. Although pocket attacks in Imo targeting oil installations were recorded , the FG is unmoved by their antics .

Killing their fellow Ibo has not gotten the federal govt sympathy or anger. Attacks on security personnel has only succeeded in setting a Pavlovian response where with each attack by IPOB, the Nigerian security applies the hammer a hundred folds.

The narcissistic leadership in IPOB is desperate to draw attention to their movement from the federal govt and the larger world and no where else but Lagos outside the Niger Delta remains a good stage to showcase their autism.

My suggestion to Lagos state is that if any of the Ibo dominated markets decide to obey the proposed 2-werk sit at home in Lagos, the LASG has it within her constituted authority to treat the leadership of such erring markets as enablers of terrorism and should be arrested and arraigned in court.

Also, any erring market should be shut down and the owners of the shops evacuated for more serious minded business people.

They should not practice their terrorism protest at the detriment of Lagos economy and well being

Allowing them even the slightest right to do such will see to IPOB terrorists coming down to Lagos to enforce any future directive ordered by the IPOB leadership.
They’ll finally nail it down in Lagos for themselves. Their goose will be cooked! They should give it a try! Where is Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu now?🤔🧐. All their markets will be closed down by LASG and they can go SE!

Release Nnamdi Kanu to do what exactly? 🤔. He should be kept away in prison so he can be reformed and corrected to be a civil person. A visit to YouTube will reveal how he had incited folks to become largely murderous and disorganised the Igbo space. That is not how to press for self-determination. The Igbo having gone that route before and unsuccessfully should know by now how it goes.

I understand your angle of seeing it. If sit at home is the only tool of protest we have we will maximize it. Remember we went to ghana to talk nigeria bridged the understanding then unleashed genocide on us. Our children where busy protesting they send pythons. Now mazi was cleared of all charges by the court they still kept him there illegally.

You can't beat a child and ask him never to cry.
I see your point my brother but it could be a good idea to get all the Federal legislators on across political divides on the same page in the matter. That way the common agenda can receive a lot more push for actualisation.

On those days we sit at home.if its the price we pay for the future of the next generation.
Sit at home will do more harm than good to the next generation of Igbo. Please listen. 1. It weakens the economy of the Igbo space and makes for disinvestment there. 2. It breeds insecurity as the enforcers seek to ensure compliance. Meanwhile the need to find food and get educated will push people to venture out into the open when they are supposed to sit at home. 3. The population will swell as more women get pregnant by men who can’t go to work and sit idle at home. 4. The school syllabus will suffer. 5. The military will be deployed to maintain a semblance of order in the society. Wisdom is the principal thing. Igbo listen please!
