Resurgent2016:That’s as deadly as ignorance can be! Body fluid from a dead body can despatch the living room join the dead! |
braine:You must live outside SW Nigeria! |
NwaAmaikpe:Muslims funerals have the dead laid in a shallow grave lying on the sides covered by leaves and dry logs of wood. |
Who doesn’t like a shot at VP! |
Beverlyjean:You probably didn’t read this Sir! “ Ayodeji Ibrahim, counsel to the firm, in a letter dated January 20 and addressed to the Salman Jawondo, commissioner for justice and attorney general of the state, said the applicants were now willing to settle the matter out of court in line with the presiding judge’s advice. Ibrahim urged the commissioner to use his “good office” as the chief law officer of the state to make the necessary arrangements as to time and venue where parties can meet and discuss. “While trusting that our request herein would be treated with the needed swift attention it deserves, kindly accept the assurances of our esteem regards,” the letter read.” Saraki knows when he is licked and must now be careful else he joins Kalu where he is bound someday soon. |
Thief wan settle! |
adanny01:My post to which you responded was intentionally that simplified to make it easier to comprehend by folks who appeared to find the finer points of law previously stated by me in my earlier posts. That the judgment gives leeway for electoral fraud is not hidden from a lawyer. Uwais report is gathering dust in government archives implemented. One would expect Labour to push for its implementation to ensure that the choice of the people get into government but all they know to do is ask for wage increase that is meaningless in the face of bad governance by politicians whose elections are questionable. |
Basher8583:Maybe. But for me this is not about partisan politicking as it is about law, logic and common sense. |
Clear is the handwriting on the wall |
frankson1:Rather unfortunate. |
berrystunn:That is not before the court. See, in law and in court Judges and the parties are bound by what is filed in court. The law is then applied to the facts proved from what is filed and you have the output commonly known as judgment. That is it Sir. Ihedioha and INEC in fact said no election held at the 388 unit and that the results were a fraud but provided no proof of those assertions. In law it is the person who says a thing that has the burden to prove it. To say the results tendered by Uzodinma is a fraud is a criminal allegation which must be proved beyond reasonable doubt. Ihedioha legal team made a tactical error in saying so because it is near impossible to prove. In my view better to simply say no elections held and depend on INEC to show none indeed held! Meanwhile INEC further made a mess of the tasteless broth when in the same breath it said it had the genuine results but did not produce it! In the circumstances the Supreme Court could not have decided that case differently than it did. I pity the Supreme Court Judges who can’t say anything in defence of themselves except to watch their names pilloried and scandalised by folks who could be better informed. Matters are made worse when Lawyers who are expected to speak up to protect the integrity and sanctity of the Supreme Court are in conspiratorial silence or say things to mislead non Lawyers. |
CanadaOrBust:See, the way it goes in law and in court is this: you say a thing and provide evidence in support and it is taken as proved unless your opponent denies what you say and provides something to discredit your evidence. Neither INEC nor Ihedioha did so. The result in law is that Uzodinma has proved his case. In the law of evidence it is called the burden of proof. |
CanadaOrBust:Sir, carefully read the judgment and it should soon be clear that as you lay your bed so you will sleep on it! |
To protest what? Read the judgment. It is sound in law and logic. Very sound. Ihedioha‘a Lawyers are not infallible. They alleged Uzodinma results were forged and didn’t prove it. INEC said it had the genuine results results but never presented them in Court. Issues were joined on the exclusion of Uzodinma results and shown by the production of Forms EC8A and B. Since Issues were not joined on whether elections held at the places from where the excluded results emanated therefore there was no need to call all the polling agents as the Supreme Court had laid down previously. It was sufficient for the policeman who did to tender the results in the light of the dissenting judgment of the lower court. Judges are not guided by sentiments but law applied to facts presented to them by Lawyers whose duty it is to ensure a thorough presentation. Put differently, Judges are still water! The Supreme Court did a Good job. |
Very valid observation. It remains to be said however that only God is infallible! |

Malami Revokes Statement On Operation Amotekun, Claims He Was Misinterpreted By The Yorubas opera.com The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami has on Thursday revoked his earlier comment about the establishment of the Western Nigeria Security Outfit which he declared illegal. Malami whose condemnation on the outfit codenamed Operation Amotekun has since caused uproar on social media claimed he was only misinterpreted by the Six southwest governors and the people of Western Nigeria. He made this statement while addressing an interview on Radio Nigeria Abuja this morning said " I was misinterpreted on Operation Amotekun, I did not say it's Illegal". "I said the Operation Amotekun should be properly back by law, so if at the end of this Government, if the Operation has been backed by law, any Government that eventually succeeded this government will not rubbish the Operation". "I said if they failed to enact a law in support of Amotekun in the South West Region of Nigeria, another government can come and say it's Illegal and this is because it is not back by any law". "So, It just an advised to the State Governor's to use their power and the State's House of Assemblies in their various States to enact a law that will make the Operation more effective." He said. This statement gives a kind of reduction in the tension of the sustainability of this outfit, congratulations to southwest and Yoruba populace in general. https://news-af.feednews.com/news/detail/76b2ba02afc04cce73b69045d9ecc590?client=news |
jamexborn:Will call |
How long from a call can it take to deliver at Iwo Rd and price? |
Tayeni:I pray you never experience stuff like that. Those who do know what it is like. |
Lalong will be in Abuja asking Buhari what to do! |
Tayeni:In somnambulism you do get to be in action indeed physically but in a State not fully conscious while in spiritual oppression the action is in the spirit but could be manifested physically as in the example where a person is shot at on the right leg in a dream and wakes up with a wound at the exact spot and which wound eventually lead to death. |
kingxsamz:Here’s a soft reminder I replied to say in such matters you see by faith and not by sight! It’s your call to or not to believe. |
Tayeni:That is somnambulism. It could be traceable to to both the physical and the spiritual. |
kingxsamz:Part of your challenge would appear to be a preoccupation with “Daddy G.O.”. Interestingly Pastor E.A. Adeboye is not, in the least, enamoured with the appellation. Truth is, the Yoruba have a penchant for deeply showing respect for the elderly by using the word “daddy”. My Bible is the source of my believe in heaven and hell. If you will pick up a copy and read it should become clear to you that eternity will be someday. Even creation is replete with evidence that God is which is why the Bible says that only the fool will say in his heart that there is no God! |
kingxsamz:You cannot appreciate what you are not willing to acknowledge. When the judgment day comes and your will can no longer deny the obvious that God is it will then dawn on you howbeit too late that the spiritual is real. |
EsomahJD:Typical feudalistic thought pattern of the Fulani North! Nigeria is not a Feudal but a Federal State. The truth is the North is largely Feudalistic while no vassals exist in the South to serve any Lord anywhere- everyone can aspire to be the best he wants to be! It is largely not so in the North. We will exist better under a restructured Federation that allows for them to live as they please rather than the present arrangement where they seek to impose their Feudalistic lifestyle on the rest of the country. Our politicians have not helped matters preferring to double speak and speak tongue in cheek as they find convenient. Recently Tinubu was as Janus faced as ever on Amotekun for political gain! Each region should be at liberty to run its education, economy, internal police, and agriculture the way it sees fit while leaving issues such as foreign relations, central banking and armed forces to the FG. It should soon be apparent which section of the country is moving forward. The Fulani North tells you they want one Nigeria but will deny Christians in the North the right to freedom of worship withdrawing C of O for church premises, denying them promotion at work and destroying our farmlands when in the South. Who will be wrong to say they have become a scourge! We cannot be slaves in our country- nothing should be beyond negotiation- even the Nigerian Federation! It’s amazing how that is difficult for the North to understand! |
abdullkabar:See, that is a possibility. Only the unwise deny or are ignorant of the fact that the spiritual determines the physical. Spiritual powers exist and they can use or influence things in the physical to achieve ends whether sinister or otherwise in the physical. Whether one believes that or not does not stop ongoing ops in the spiritual. For example, it is not all health issues that are traceable to and resolvable by the physical: experienced doctors know that. Not all madness is traceable to and are solvable by physical phenomena. Funny when folks point to Caucasians and say that Africans are backwards because they pay more attention to the spiritual. Truth is, spiritual ops are relative in terms of location, race, goals. In terms of civilisation books will show New York streets once looked like the typical rusty present day African village roads. The white man chose to develop and we are living with our choices. Spiritual forces operate everywhere only that what they seek to achieve vary with locations et al The more sophisticated a society gets the more refined and seemingly innocuous the negative spiritual ops in such places and reason is to avoid detection even as many more live in denial of the existence of such powers. All the preceding na grammar: person wey dem flog for dream com wake up see whiplash mark for him body and clothe no go begin yarn say the spiritual na story! |
