Bro there are no Gurus or experts here, ppl can only comment according to their own personal experience or what they can relate to. Am sure you wouldn't want to receive a wrong information, so just keep dropping reminder hopefully someone that is sure will respond to you.

Also you are asking a generic broad questions. Like what are the factors that help visa application. Ofcourse it's very strong SOP, enough proof of funds and explanation to lump sums if any with evidence to back up, career progression linking your current job activities and the course you want to study and course you studied previously and finally home ties to show you will come back after your study.

For pof, you need to know the tuition per year. If it's a 1 year course, u add the tuition to living expenses of 10k to 12k CAD, add 4k miscellaneous. The total shud be covered in your proof of funds.

If you provide documents to effectively cover those 4 factors I mentioned above then your application will be well coveted and boosted.

As for the last line, what's the tuition fee, add up with the living expenses, only then will you know if your dad closing balance can cover for your proof of funds. Also if your dad is sponsoring you, it will be better he transfers the whole money to your acct and you do a gift deed to explain the lump sum. If the money must remain in your dad acct and you intend to submit his statement of acct, then ne ready to also give explanations of any possible lump sums in his acct as well as provide explanation to his source of income. If he is an employee then info about his job will be needed Like pay slip, employment emolument, etc. If he owns his business, then CAC, receipts, invoices etc will likely be needed as visa officer will need to be sure the said amount will be indeed be available for your study.

Finally, almost everything I wrote here are things I read on this platform so if you take your time to read like last 20 pages, u will likely see similar case to yours with responses provided.

My brother got requested for medical without adding SOP to his application, he was guided by someone though , just sponsorship letter , good career progression with Bsc and Nysc certificate ,he did not even submit his own account statement , only sponsor, that’s all and boom they cleared him to go for medical and he is 27years old .

Sorry, wanted to ask. His sponsor is related to him? And is the sponsor living in Nigeria??

1. You submit application firstly before booking appointment for biometrics. After submission of application, a letter will be sent to you which you will print out along with appointment letter and other stuffs for the biometrics


2. Getting an appointment day biometrics isn't much of an issue unlike medical appointment. But recently there has been delay in receiving biometric letter after submission probably due to the strike though it has been called off now. Once you get that biometrics letter after submission, you can get appointment date within next 2-3 days if there is no weekend or public holiday in BTW.


3. Yes. Go ahead and submit your application. If medical request from irrc comes before May 30th, then you wait till may 30th for your medical and they will send your result to irrc cos you wud have gone for the medical with a request letter from irrc. However, if there is no medical request before may 30, u still honor your appointment and keep your medical sheet pending when medical request drops in your portal.

Because we got PPR same day but agent submitted mine after the EID holiday and i am yet to get any update from him regarding collections or stamps.

Also did you get an update on your tracker that the application has been stamped or just a mail?

No way you submit on same day you got PPR cos you would need to book appointment. I submitted on Tuesday just immediately after the EID holiday.

I tried registering to be able to track but unfortunately, I couldn't register. If you login into your portal, your status will show that it has been stamped with counterfoil there.
Also the tracking number given to me on the day of submission I have been using to track on vfs website though they actually send update mails regularly so I stopped tracking there. We should receive the mail to come pick the passport up today as they are back to Lag.

Passport stamped April 28th
Think public holiday slowed down so yet to receive mail to come collect.

Please, I just got a response from Conestoga College that the invoice for tuition payment will be released close to the start of the semester.

Resumption is Sept 2023 and I want to make full first year tuition and submit receipt of payment with my application this month. Please, will it not be too late because I was thinking of submitting my application once I finish my medicals on the 17th of this month.

If I were you, I will submit receipt of payment along with this response from the college. Will also state it in my SOP

Doesn't work that smooth. Due to the pressure and high volume of appointments, most people get medical appointments dates a month after they book medical appointments. Currently no space in May foe appointments booking for IOM and Qlife.

Best bet is , you book your medical first and get a date, then submit your application(usually if you are lucky, you get a mail the next few days to book appointment for biometrics). So you can submit your application a week before your medical appointment date. But it's still all under probability for dates to be close

There are no implications if you do same period that's if you are lucky to have both fall on same day. When you book your medicals, they will give you a date, then if you submit your application, and you are lucky to fix your biometrics same period then you do both within same period. You will not be able to do medical and biometrics same day. Each activity takes almost the whole day.
If you do the upfront medical before you submit application then you can attach the medical slip that will be given to you on the day of medical to your application.

However, if you do medical after you have submitted, when you get a medical request, you just send mail to the medical centre to submit your result to irrc attaching the medical request gotten from irrc. With that they will forward your result.
You can also follow up by sending the medical slip you had all this while via web form to irrc directly.

Upfront medical is when you do medical before a medical request from irrc. It could be done before you submit your application or after you have submitted as long as it was done before irrc requested for a medical from you.

You can flagpole to convert visit visa to open work permit if your spouse status is legal. You can also flagpole to change to close work permit if you can secure a job with LMIA. I dropped a YouTube link on flagpole, please watch it.

What makes a spouse status legal? If your spouse has study permit, is it a legal status or it must be work permit and PERMANENT residence?

I think it's different. When I went to submit my passport, my friend that was in same shoes with you was told to pay about 9k as he didnt come with the biometrics slip he had misplaced earlier. If you also intend to submit in their office different from where you did biometrics, that I am not sure if it will be charged separately. But am certain u pay when you don't provide the biometrics slip.

Good day everyone, I have a friend that got PPR on Friday but seems to have lost his biometric confirmation slip (yellow form issued by VFS) as he had it done about 3years ago with his first application that was refused. Will there be an issue if he doesn’t send the yellow form with the passport to VFS?

No issue. He shud be ready to pay 8990 or so on the day of passport submission.

Pls hope it's still the old portal that is been used for study permit application??

They will ask if you have visa to canada and to upload all visas in your pp so nothing to hide. They know you. Your UCI wont change.
