I might be wrong, but the only detail that was on the biometric slip I had was the Biometric ID number written with biro. Login to your IRCC portal, the biometric ID number is there, print it OR write it out yourself on the copy of your passport, and add with the other documents.

Applied for visit visa last Oct 2022, ppr dropped April 19th. Just collected my passport 3 days ago.

Submitted my Study permit application May 2, 2023. PPR dropped tonight.

Can someone who had been in similar situation answer me. I am to submit my passport for the second time. What happens now I no more have the biometric slip as I submitted it during my first passport submission request?? Or will I be expected to pay the 9k plus for not having biometric slip??

Hello everyone, VFS sent an email that passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja OC via courier partner. Please use Tracking id. or the AWB number provided to track the shipment on the courier partners website after 24hrs.

Does VFS sends UPS tracking details or how do one track returned passport from VFS?

Do you want to collect in person? If yes then chill, you will receive a mail that you can come pick up passport.

Do they get medicals passed and still get refused after medicals passed.?

I asked something similar to this yesterday and few mins later, ppr dropped. If u had your medical passed, congrats in advance

My brother got married at a local government in Ibadan in 2013 and would like to go ahead with the Canadian student visa application . He was given a Marriage certificate but when he tried inputting the number on the marriage certificate to the government website last week to check the validity, the number was not in the system. I’m afraid that the Visa officer might face this issue when he submits as well. He’s a little worried for now and would really appreciate any advice or knowledge of this matter please?

He shouldn't stress himself. He should just submit the wedding certificate He has along with wedding and family pictures if he has kids.

House pls I wanted to ask, when I submitted my passport for my visit visa, I ended leaving behind the biometrics slip because I signed on that paper to collect my passport.

Now I am to submit my passport again, will I be expected to bring the biometrics slip again or will be asked to pay ??

Yes I received a mail to check my portal.
Eligibility started the next day immediately I submitted my application. Don't know if it's because I had earlier been granted visit visa

And for those that wants to convert from a visitor visa to a study permit (because the requirements are less compared to apply from your home country)

Then apply online from inside Canada
But first in other for to be eligible

You must do a short term prerequisite course that qualifies you for admission into that institution or else you won't qualify

This only applies to you if you don't have a spouse who is a permanent resident or on a work permit

But if you have a spouse who has a PR or work permit then you can convert without doing the short term prerequisite courses

OR
Or you already have a work permit in Canada then you can convert from a work permit (open or employer specific/closed ) to study permit without the short term prerequisite courses

And the proof of funds isn't that much when converting to a study permit as a visitor

But it's very important to make your own research tho

You need your passport and the passport request letter.

I don’t know how true, but I heard that you cannot walk in to submit a passport anymore. That means you need to schedule an appointment with VFS before you go to their office.

True. You need appointment to submit passport. It's only collection you don't need appointment however collection time is btw 12pm - 2pm.

I got my offer for conestoga college and tuition deposit is 1500 and balance is required before you enter Canada. I have HND.

The one I know don't offer programs that is eligible for pgwp

There is nothing abnormal there. Sometimes ppl get medical request, Request to submit passport and eligibility will Still be saying in progress.

Besides it's just 3 weeks and still within time frame for visa application processing. So chill.

I paid full tution fee for the year program and submitted valuation report for a house and land. The decision was made within 20 days of application submission.

Looks like u had a good application...not sure why they refused...the gurus here will share their thoughts based on their experience.

However, if I was in your shoe, I would leave d funds for four months, pay tuition, and further provide proof of assets while reapplying.

I guess these VOs just look for any loopholes and hold on to them.

Hello guys, I have admission for a 1 year program at Georgian College in Ontario and I have paid the Initial deposit of 2500kCAD and I’ve received an unconditional offer and receipt.

So my question is, what are my chances of getting approved visa if I go ahead to apply with a bank statement of 30m of my own funds to cover for my living cost and remaining tuition.

Is it okay to apply haven’t just paid only 2500kCAD out of the total school fees?

I submitted my application on 17th of April together with my upfront medical. Till date, I haven’t received biometric introduction letter but my medical was reviewed and passed on the 28th of April.

I filled a web form on the 22nd of April, still waiting for a response.

Please is there anyone that had this kind of challenge? How did you solve it?

I am not in Nigeria. It is possible here, unless if they don't follow tge time specific on their website. They don't joke with their time here.

Ohk. If you say so. But they don't joke with time here as well. The only way you can meet up there is if the crowd there isn't much. It's the crowd here that makes it stressful and a whole day event.

Don't know about ABJ but if it's in Lagos, you will certainly not meet up with that medical. I advise you reschedule the medical to next day if possible.

Hi e-fam, pls what's the current timeline like for getting biometric appointment at VFS? The agent helping my sister mentioned his contact at VFS said there are no available dates till July. Asking her to pay $1500 to secure a date sooner or wait till July.

Said I should confirm from people sending applications in now, before I start yelling.
