hildaa: Hi Doc.well done, my name is Matilda, my question is; apart from the normal ovulation period that a woman can conceive, is it possible for a woman to conceive anytime apart from the ovulation period? hey matilda, it is highly unlikely (99%) to concieve outside the ovulation period. Nevertheless there are no absolutes in medicine. One can have 2 ovulations in one cycle. Rare but it happens. |

Please Drs, I need your help. I was diagnosed of Staph aureus (moderate yeild) last year through cultured HVS and was placed on Doxycyline for seven days with no effect. Late last year I went for another test and this time Strep was also discovered, alongside the former infection and I was placed on Ciprofloxacin for another seven days. Few days ago, the symptoms came back again and I'm frustrated. Please, is there any advice on how to eliminate this disease before it does the worse damage? N.B: I also went for a scan which revealed that I have PID. Any remedy for that, too? Thank you. |

Staph. aureus is a local resident in some parts of our body. Sometimes our unclean habits may migrate them to another site where they become pathogenic(dangerous) try cleaning from up-down whenever you use the toilet. That is from you vee to the anus. Wash your hands regularly. As for the PID, just follow your doctors orders. Antibiotics shouldnt be played with. |

justineu: Hi doctor. hello, PE is not a disease, so a definitive cure is illusory. But what you can do is, give it time, you'd learn to control your plateau then orgasm. Esp. If you are a newbie. Also, try getting comfortable with your/a partner, multiple sexual partners woulndt help. Try not overtly arousing yourself before the intercourse if you do you'd be half-way up pleasure town before she gets on board. If after 6months of regular unipartner sex, symptoms persist. Go see a doctor. There are drugs that can help. |

timiege: Good day doc, please I want to know if there are signs of ovulation.some persons said they feel slight pain in there lower abdomen?Yes there are signs just like you have stated above, others include 1.Mid cycle spotting 2.Fuller vag lips 3.Increased sensitivity in breast. 4.Increased sexual feelings 5.Increased energy levels. 6.Pains or aches around ovaries and uterus 7.Increased signs of vision, smell and taste 8.Abnormal bloating. These are secondary signs.Just a few. Mzora: Hi doc, plz I'm a young girl of 23. I hav irregular menstrual cycle(it can dissapear 4 lyk 2 months at times) and vry long cycles(35,40 day cycle etc). I'm nt married bt I'm bordered. I live a vry health life style(I dnt smoke, drink etc). Plz wat can I do 2 make ma menses regular(28-30 day cycle). If you use pills then maybe you have to stop using them as they alter hormones in the body that permits skipped period or mid cycle spotting. Another is stress. As much as possible take care of your mind and body.Eat healthy and of course moderately eat lots of fruits and vegies. And also relax yourself and do not be bothered as it has a way of correcting itself. And if it persits,go for an hormonal assay and see if you can correct your hormonal balance. Hope to be back . |

Hi. I am sending a post. I am a young woman who is in college. Can a symptom of a UTI be bleeding outside of normal period? My period began the 28th or 29th of January 2013 and now it hurts when I pee. I usually have light spotting 1-2 days right before my period. The bleeding I have is not light. My mother says it might just be stress since emotional stress plays a role in my period cycle. I'm sorry if you have answered this question before. I would like an answer as soon as possible. I am planning on trying to wait a 24 hr period to see if I feel better by 5 pm Wednesday (February 13) and make an appointment for Thursday late afternoon at my college's health center. I hope you can answer my question as soon as possible. I am not sexually active so I know it is not sex related and am not pregnant. |

Well, before you see your college health officer.Pls do the following. 1.Drink plenty of fluids (water),this will help in flushing the bacteria out and wash it away.Usually effective if taken within 24 hrs after you experience symptoms. 2.You can also take orange juice as orange is acidic and can help kill bacteria. 3Whenever you feel like urinating please do so without delay. Also make sure you empty your bladder completely when you ease urself. 4.Make sure you do not take carbonated drinks like coke and the likes as they can make symptoms worse. 5.If you have the opportunity, use warm water over the Instruments when you urinate so as to reduce burning sensations. 6.No sex during this period.(For other readers). |
