Decrying the poor meat condition round the country, an
Ikeduru, Imo State born businessman,Dr Uzoma Obiyo,
may have stepped in to rescue the situation as his
Group,Multi-Net, entered into a Memorandum of
Understanding with the Federal Government on the
development and operation of Modern International
standard abattoirs in the six geo-political zones of the
country.

Rising from the brief signing ceremony in Abuja
recently,the Permanent Secretary,Federal Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Sonny Echono
tasked the Multi-Net Group to deliver healthy, quality fresh
meat locally and further generate income and livelihood
for the livestock farmers.

Speaking to the Press after putting pen to paper,Dr Obiyo
said: “My dream and objective for this modern abattoir is to
produce healthy and quality fresh and local produced
animals, provide income and livelihood for livestock farmers
of whom he is intending to work with, towards achieving his
dreams, and also to attract young unemployed youths into
farming and live-stock production.”

He said his company expects a situation where a young
person will be proud to say that he or she is a butchery
expert and earning good living with it.
Obiyo noted that Africa, especially Nigeria, has no excuse to
rely on imported meat products.

He said: “I believe that Africa and Nigeria should not be
relying on imported meat products of which the hygiene and
quality are questionable, he wants to develop a meat and
livestock process value-chain whereby there will be
traceability in our meat products, and also the quality and
hygiene will be guaranteed.

“ At the moment such facility and process is lacking, so it is
of no surprise that most of the large hotels and restaurants in
Nigeria, import their meat and livestock products from South
Africa, and costing the nation a large chunk of its scarce
dollars in capital flight and of cause denying our local
farmers their needed in-come.”

The Chairman of Multi-Net maintained that he is on a
mission and will not stop until Nigeria and Africa is self-
sufficient in feeding its populations and providing them with
adequate energy for domestic use and industrialisation.
He stressed that his company is also concerned about the
provision of locally produced petroleum products for local
consumption.

Obiyo said that issues of local content unsettles him, noting
Nigeria has the human and natural resources to drive its
economy without a recourse to foreigners.
“I believe we have the capacity both in human-resources and
natural resources and it is for that reason. I am a passionate
supporter and promoter of Local Content in every sector,
because I see no reason our best are running out of the
country and helping to build other country’s viable economy
while we are employing people from those foreign countries,
whom their own countries will not employ,” he said.
Projecting into the future, the chairman maintained that he is
committed to seeing Nigeria dominates the global economy in
food export and production.

At the moment, Obiyo said that he wants to produce healthy
and fresh quality food for Nigeria with zero wastage because
everything in the farm and in the abattoir will be utilised.
He regretted seeing a lot of wastes in the food, agricultural
and livestock chain. He revealed that he has also got a viable
and implementable plan to go into fisheries and fish
processing and storage.

Obiyo called on the Federal Government, the citizenry,
especially other entrepreneurs to emulate the Central Bank of
Nigeria (CBN) to support the local industries.
On his own, he said he is ready to collaborate with Federal
and State governments and agencies to make foods and
livestock, healthy, hygienic and affordable by all.
He sought the concerted efforts of all Nigerians and the
President for a serious and sincere fight for locally produced
food in the country.

Obiyo recalled that Multi-Net Group Limited had early this
year signed an MoU with the Federal Ministry of Power for
the development of the coal fields in Enugu.
The MoU, said the chairman, is for the generation 500mega-
watts (mw) in the first instant and in the long-term increase
the generation to 1,000mw.
He revealed that after the pact with the Ministry of Power, he
has flagged-off the studies necessary for the implementation
of its project -”Using coal to Light Up Nigeria.”
The chairman noted that unlike many who just sign MOU and
do nothing with it, he “ is a restless, creative, energetic and
innovator who is resolute and convinced that we have all it
takes to produce enough power for domestic and industrial
use but also for export.”

Since signing the MOU, Obiyo noted that he has commenced
and nearly completed all the necessary studies needed to
commence the next stage of making his project “Using Coal to
Light Up Nigeria” a reality.

He however explained that “the only delay now in bringing
my dream to reality is the Coal licence of which I am hoping
that, with the intervention of the Federal Ministry of Power
and all the necessary agencies that I will move fast with his
very detailed and time-lined road–map on generating 500mw
of electricity from coal.”

Commenting on his enterprise, he said MULTI-NET GROUP
LIMITED is wholly owned and an indigenous Nigerian
company, of whom he is the Chairman.
He described himself as an established and successful
entrepreneur in the Telecom Industry.

Continuing, the chaiman said he “is a man with a good nose
for business opportunities that sometimes people are
becoming to imagine me as the Warren Buffet of our own but
they can see me by-passing the success of Warren Buffet, so
the only comparison between us is our noses in smelling out
business opportunities even when others do not see it.
“For Dr. Obiyo, any difficulty I encounter in the process
everyday life and business becomes another business
potential, because I do not believe in moaning or passing
bucks but I believe that Nigerians and Africans should solve
all our infrastructure problems.”

My interest is mainly on the coal to power project. Those are the angle I expect wise Igbos to route for in Buhari's admin. Let Buhari encourage this man to make use of our coal laying fallow in Enugu to generate much needed power.

Jonathan's admin frustrated Barth Nnaji who invested heavily in Aba courtesy of Obasanjo's earlier encouragement in 2005. I will try at my own capacity to bring it to knowledge of responsible Igbos the beautiful idea of Mr Obiyo.

B.astard you think Obi is a rabble rouser like the fat ugly Okorosha?

Can you compare Obi's CV and that of Okorocha? Okorosha only had Diploma while Obi had masters and several other programs he did abroad.

Obi does not seek anybody to notice him as he is already the true Igbo leader and not a clown that is called Okorocha that sleeps and farts while a meeting was going on in US.

abagoro:

I often made mockery of it when he was still Governor. Now he is out and still doing same thing. I believe its his own way of seeking public notice as he naturally lacks the eloquence, charisma and flamboyance he seems to crave for.

Its the other way round my friend. You guys show so much hatred against Imo and Okorocha that I do wonder if really we are all Igbos. Nobody from Imo has gone on hate campaign against anyone but I decided to challenge the nonsense once and for all in the interest of Igbos. At least the fight I put up last ended the chapter of posting bad pictures and tagging it Imo all because of jealousy. I opened a thread on a garden street in Owerri but without reason you and others invaded the thread with blackmail pictures.

I have challenged you to bring evidence of me hating Anambra but you cannot because I am just. I criticised Peter Obi for the cheque he likes displaying and will still do any day. No sane man can view that as normal.

Even your comment on Okorocha depicts jealousy. Is it difficult to support your fellow Igbos national and international influence? I am sure if Peter Obi enjoyed Okorocha's level of national acceptability you would have even added some hype.

Abagoro, Ikechukwu Ebuka(real name), you are a confirmed b.astard. When you opened the so called Owerre garden thread why didn't you go about it without looking for trouble? Why must you always look out for Anambra which is head and shoulder above your worthless and ordinary Imo state in your hatred and frustrated drive?

Lemme tell you, if you ever come to Anambra thread I will come to the Imo thread and post those horrible conditions of Owerri. You were really burnt recently that you lost your 'abagworo' monika and this have not ended because it will continue to be a vicious circle till you are completely tamed and cut to size.

Nobody is envious of useless and worthless Imo state because I have looked round and saw nothing to be jealous about Imo state but army of cheap prostitutes. My state is still hosting at least 1/3rd of Imo state population whereas there is no Anambran resident in your state. What does that mean to you? Why not focus on your insane unlettered fat ugly incompetent failed governor Okorocha and leave us alone?

Lemme equally re-emphasize, all the horrible pictures I have ever posted here are of Owerri and Imo state at large and I still have them with me. Be ready for more fight because I will never allow you float freely without clipping your wings.

I have decided to shun every other thing so that I can give you full attention.

Lemme equally re-emphasize, all the horrible pictures I have ever posted here are of Owerri and Imo state at large and I still have them with me. Be ready for more fight because I will never allow you float freely without clipping your wings.

I have decided to shun every other thing so that I can give you full attention.

I am glad you've been tamed. At least since I met you with equal pictures of present state of your own area you have learnt that nobody has monopoly of madness. I have never posted any bad pictures of Anambra except on your provocation. After I agreed with only truth that we should stop posting bad images of anywhere in Igboland you still went on posting bad images and tagging them Imo but I ignored thinking you would act like an adult. I am glad you've been tamed for good. Respect yourself and if truly you are Igbo stop your inflammatory remarks against other Igbos even with your fake monikers. Most of our boundaries are artificial but actions like yours divides us further.

That said you are free to criticise Okorocha, Abagworo, Buhari, Ngige or Jonathan but never preach hate or use lies or stereotypes to blackmail your fellow Igbo. That is what I hate.

You are an i.diot because you are the one that was tamed. I dare you to post again on Anambra thread and see what will become of this trash you called thread. You know what I did to you that made your abagworo monika disappear from Nairaland. LOL

I have always made it clear that you and I and Anambra and Imo are not the same people that you should proceed on your own and leave us alone but you refused.

You are a troublemaker but you have met your match in me. Infact let it start once again.

Below are the current pictures of Owerri. I dare you once again because I have always allowed you to start first but this time around I will always be the one to first look for your trouble until you are completely tamed

You and the person you are quoting are the worst crazy men I hv met online, Don't drag Anambra to your madness,to be frank your patriotism brings shame to us, Igbos are one, you guys doltishness can't change that. I don't know who pays you guys for your dirt job to bring disunity among Igbo states seriously.

Yes, Anambra and Imo are not the same people..it is a statement of fact. As for abagoro it is a fight to finish unless Nairaland shuts down I will always follow him until he is completely cured of his insanity! It's now a duty for me.

You Yoloba ass.licker, you shamelessly go around praising same Yolobas that humiliated and disgraced you here, while you are always quick to throw insults at other Igbo states.

How can you say Anambra and Imo state ain't same people, whereby Uga your town shares boundary with Imo state and should have even been in Imo state?

I prefer to be a Yorubaman if my town is ever carved out from Anambra. Accept it or leave it Anambra and Imo are not the same people, I want abagoro to accept that fact and face his useless and worthless state for once.

Chino how dare you speak for Anambra people? Who are you to speak for us? What right do you have to say Imo and Anambra ain't same people?

This Yoloba ass.licker let me not hear you speak on behalf of Anambrarians next time, so just speak for yourself and leave Anambra state out of your madness!

I am glad you have seen his madness. He has 100 monikers including fake monikers of Abagworo1 and Abagworro which he used to derail Enugu thread and people were abusing me.

Chino you cant stop me from expressing my view on any thread be it Anambra or Abia. All my contributions are civil and mostly anti-Jonathan and not anti-Anambra. With time I will be vindicated on my political preference but it makes no sense lying to ourselves about the failure of the last regime which is glaring to our face. No federal highway was completed both in the SE and SS. No Seaport was built or even ecisting ones upgraded, Enugu Airport was not completed, 2nd Niger bridge was not even started. I believed that if Jonathan ruled till 2027 none of these things would still have been done. Barth Nnaji's Aba power investment was frustrated.

Let us watch Buhari and see if any of these things I listed is taken care of. Just one and I will be vindicated forever but if not I will classify him same as Jonathan.

Look at the fat ugly bastard dozing away while on an important meeting which PMB is part of.

The dude, Mallam Rochas Okorocha, is a waste of fresh breath. He would not even know if the meeting was about his death. What a joker.
