since you have downloaded it u have to extract it. preferably extract it to your download folder. then open your terminal and enter the following cd /home/username/download (in the space for username enter the username of ur pc) next cd simpleserverubuntu(or whatever name the folder u extracted is) next chmod +x SimpleServer.py next /SimpleServer.py next change the ip address of your pc

Guys now I have another problem with my ubuntu, Its not detecting my battery and my display i have to use terminal to reduce brightness, although sometimes evrything seems to work fine, but most of the time it doesn't work well. I remember installing some battery management apps mayb its the cause am not sure, I really need help. Love ubuntu

try typing

Username@Ubuntu ~ $ ifconfig

at the command line, when you do so, I would like for you go ahead and take a screenshot (please edit out the MAC-Address/Hardware address information) It should look something like this. 00-7A-23-45-67-89 or something similar to that. Try to edit it out. You may see colons or hyphens. It's a 48-bit address.

No need to reinstall

$ sudo apt-get install wicd
$sudo wicd &

Refresh and scan for wifi in wicd network manager gui interface. Select d wifi. Click properties and enter d wifi password.

That's it

brother,yesterday i downloaded linux 17.3 and removed ubuntu...everything works fine no problems..thanks once again for the tutorials am still flexing with it...bye bye to forever in search of windows driver

I have disabled fast boot, yet still getting the pix below.

I don't know what to do to solve the problem, but mayb u could create another partition or still just install afresh, cux seriously you won't need windows as far u have internet to download some stuffs
