taharqa: Piece of Advice: when you do not know what you are talking about, talk (or rather, write less).. Do you know what a Feasibility study entail? Which private investor wud put his money in a new railway project without an already prepard Feasibity study that wud aid his investment decisions?

You are the one exposing your ignorance. Which private investor would bring money based on a feasibility study done by government? No effing way! You think MM2 was built based of FGs feasibility study? As a businessman, is that how you would do such business?

In any case, let them open up about the intentions so we can see. Is it government expenditure to nowhere? Is it private/public? All this feasibility study thing is another way to waste and loot public money. Two years have gone already.

He should leave it like that. Even if some made a mistake or are educationally deprived to know sarcasm, the subsequent posts explaining should have done the trick.

ba7man was trying to be sarcastic but to be honest the manner he expressed it could easily pass as criticism. Sarcasm usually contains a tinge of humour or the ridiculous, which were evidently absent from his post. Some Nairalanders here are known for condemning any projects executed in other states.

The ridiculous was well covered by the reference to Uduaghan in Delta state. That was the moment the bell rang in my head. grin

Permit me to seize this opportunity to preach (the gospel of development).

Military regimes taught us something that we need to quickly unlearn.

When a military government seizes power its first task is to demonise the previous administration in order to get some justification for seizing power.

The policies of the previous administration are abandoned, contracts are torn up and projects discontinued.

Because of this, Nigeria often takes one step forward and two steps backwards.

This project was initially conceived during the Jakande era, revived during the Tinubu era and implemented during the Fashola era.

Development projects sometimes takes years to complete. We should not accept the situation where good development projects and policies are abandoned, simply because they were initiated by a different administration.

Can you leave out the ethnic references? The Nnewi you refer to is an entrepreneurial hub of heavy manufacturing in Nigeria. What is good is good anywhere in Nigeria, and anywhere in the world. You are about to start a tribal war here.

Nigerians are the most gullible follôwers !

No wonder since 1960 we achieved nothing, but arrested development.

What no Presidents in the Nigerian history have braced up for,Fashola has done and he's still doing, yet, some brainless and never-do-wells still are complaining and antagónizing !

Some so called Nigerians are sarcastically foolish !

If not,What has GEJ achieved that some fools would clamour for his re-election.

If not,What has Buhari got to do in these present age polity,if not tò Tow our development back to about 40years in retrogression !

Fashola is a complete Gó-getter,he prômised these things before he even côntested Primaries, unlike many Others whò are venturing into things they never earmarked as their campaign Strategies, but are now galivanting around them now because of impressive projects as Fashôla's.

I never voted Fashola but followed his astonishing strides which makes me his number one fan and that is what is called Dividends of Good governance.

GEJ,BUHARI and all others making noises should go visit a specialist as they are distracting energetic. Leaders like Fashola frôm wôrking !

GEJ,BUHARI and even OBJ should park well ! We no dey see dem ! Dem dey cause traffic abeg !

Ah Nigerians sha !

Eko baaje ti ! A.C.N Lagos alone far better than PDP nationally and Presidential PDP pipe-dreams,not to mention what they would do if they were at Presidential seat.

Common Power and gas is Algebraic further maths to all fmr PDP presidents including the present one,how much more shóuld we now risk òr expect from any PDP wishfuls !

Absolute Nothing !

Please uncle Fashóla stay for Presidency for the future of our Unborn children !

True. Akpabio made rapid progress by immediately completing abandoned projects, and projects formerly used as money laundering fronts by his predecessor. There are many such projects at Federal level...Lagos-Ibadan expressway, and East-West road are examples. 2nd Niger bridge too. Such projects already have a head start, and usually, only the person who finally commissions it is remembered.

I repeat that no company would make an investment based on a government feasibility study. There are some things that should be in public record, which the private investors would use in their private feasibility studies, as well as other things they would have to research by themselves.

FG's Feasibility studies wud provide serious business people like me d BASIC info or data upon which i wud mk a business decision. Without such basic info, i wudnt be able to do preliminary COSTING on d proposd project, without d Costing d project wudnt be BANKABLE meaning i wudnt be able to raise money eida from banks or even my board to even start my own Feasibility study from d scratch. Infact, without such basic info there cannot even be a CONTRACT bw myself and d govt cos there wudnt be any Basics (preliminary data) upon which dat contract wud hv bn written. Without such basic info emanting from d FG's Feasibility study there wud be NOTHING but 'word of mouth'; and even if by sm providence am able to raise funds (obviously not from Banks or my board or shareholders) to do my own VIRGIN feasibility study basd on d govt's 'word of mouth', d same govt or anoda one may at any time cancel everything.. Only really very very sillly and unserious investors like yourself wud do so; that's exactly why you are a 'great' businessman
