HAH: This the reason the army refused making Igbo chief of army since 1966, ironsi became COAS and it led to the first coup in Nigeria and it led to first mutiny as well. ^^^^^^^ The reason for you to let them be when they wanted to, your mistake huh! Learn to practice one Niajireya on merit. |

For over 40years the north dominated the oil industry, the customs, national population comission, Army, Navy, Airforce, Police, e.t.c. We can all see the results. Now that Easterners are occupying these positions trying to clean up their shiit, they have the audacity to open their dirty gworro infested teeth to talk rubbish. HAH: This the reason the army refused making Igbo chief of army since 1966, ironsi became COAS and it led to the first coup in Nigeria and it led to first mutiny as well. Funny you have never talked about what the Northerners did when THEY were given a chance: - Passing around the leadership of Nigeria like it was their sole right. - Institutionalizing corruption (Babangida, I dey hail o) - Glamourizing money-laundering (Abacha, how far naa?) - Crippling and destroying the country's economy - Forcefully taking over our missionary schools and completely running them to the ground, thus leading to the pitiable state of our educational system which reverberates accross all aspects of our nation as a whole, even to this very day - Introducing violent cultism in our universities (believe it or not, it was the military regime that transformed mere uni frat boys to violent sects to use them as tools to terrorize 'stubborn' Vice Chancellors - Squandering our common wealth with reckless abandon, leading to the overall rot in the nation's workforce. - Almost completely exterminating the country's middle class, all thanks to Babangida's disastrous regime. And in all this, you only choose to make an issue out of Igbos dominating the army for the very first time. You see how shallow you really are? 12 Likes 1 Share |

I know in this country, some years back when have to change your name to " adamu" ; aliyu, danbaba, sumaila, gogo etc before you can even be considered for entrance into the Nigerian Army. My friend, though from the north, but northern christian had change his to danbaba before he was given a chance in the army. That has been the case since and nobody can deny this. It is an age long systemic disorder! I wonder why those boko guys are crying foul now? 4 Likes 1 Share |

Ihejirika must be FULLY ALERT about all these noise and meetings. He must begin action NOW to ensure that nobody makes any move that will negatively affect Igbo safety in Nigeria. We have seen these before and we must not allow the same wild stick to pluck our remaining eye. There is a need for immediate balance of weapons and army personnel among the three regions. If such balance is not possible, then there is a need for a FOREIGN force to enter Nigeria and stay there until the country is divided. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Prof Corruption: ^^^^^^ Yeah , but that's not gona start overnight. Someone has to initiate using merit instead of backward federal character. The other annoying expect is that nobody has complained ( or is complaining) on the federal parastatals having majority of northerners, most of them are not learned enough to run or hold such position which is the reason such parastatals don't and will never do well. They should slow down and stop insisting on controlling everything not minding if they're not qualified for such. 2 Likes |

Isn't it just strange that of all regions, the NORTH is complaining of another region dominating the army? Would the North possibly ever lose its dominance of the Nigerian army even in the next 50 years? Did any soul raise an eyebrow for the past 40 years when the North controlled the military and the oil industry (the 2 greatest cash reserves of the nation)? The most annoying and debilitating aspect of this issue is that the Southerners would rather fight each other foolishly (Yoruba vs Igbo, South South vs South east, Ijaw vs Itsekiri etc) instead of coming together and identifying their common rivals. The battles we see everyday on Nairaland is just a true reflection of our society. 2 Likes |

The guilt of marginalization has caught up with the North, evidently the cries of the Igbo man over the years was true, what is the North afraid of?...why are those of us from the West and South-South not afraid, this shows the North has a hidden agenda! use, drain and dump Nigeria! If this be the case, Tho! I don't like GEJ's policy,....If a Northerner should contest against GEJ, GEJ is getting my vote 100%. Only a credible West, South or Eastern man will displace GEJ for my vote. Buhari I had faith in you because I knew you could kill corruption, but I can no longer stand with you because of the bigots from the North the stakes are too high and the future of my kids are now involved. No body cried fowl when the North dominated in the dark years. I will not be a party to turning Nigeria into a cattle republic. 13 Likes |

Ѿε̲̣̣̣̥ need the full fact, if there is a little bit of truth in dis let the yorubas, the ijaws, the tiv, the and the rest of the Nigerian recognised tribes complain too then Ѿε̲̣̣̣̥ can make our judgments. Y would the northerner fink they are the only 1s that are being biased against if they where not the 1s that started it. No one has the ryt to change anytin until the rest of Nigerian tribes complain. |

Really, i am shocked he has been allowed to get this far, after publicly issuing a warrant for the murder of both the COAS and the President. I hope the law enforcement agent are not sleeping on the Job because dat is the only way this Boko haramite can be making threats and not checked. This should be the topic of discussion for the Northern Senators. 1 Like |

Please my fellow Nigerians. Let's learn to tolerate ourselves and live in peace. The way we are going, we may break up in a nasty way and all the envy we get from countries that have been wanting to see us fail will pay off. |
Re: Northern Senators Meet Over Igbo Domination In Army by Nobody: 11:58pm On Feb 04, 2013 |
saintohia: Well, it's difficult to fault your stance but a lot of folks here are putting in more emotion than logic. But you don't break a law because you don't like it, you repeal it. It's not like Ihejirika is a military head of state whose decision can not be questioned. Somebody ll use same methodology tomorrow and I hope folks take it in like manner. 2 Likes |

One time I said here that the way things are going, that it is looking like time everyone answers his/her fathers name and people thought I was joking. But I say it again and again, that coming from a tribe were we have given our 100% each time only to be faced with bitter envy and jealousy all because we believe in this mirage called nigeria, I am now Igbo first of all before thinking of anyother affiliation.. Let this guys do their worst and we will come down from all over the world were we have been training in other military forces to ensure we enforce a total secession.! Enough of this Nonsense 5 Likes 1 Share |
