He is correct. Skinchanging is the general term for anyone that can enter the consciousness of animals while wargs is a term used for those that can enter wolves.

The TV show just uses warging as a catch all term for all skinchangers.

I don't know why warging is a specific term for skinchanging to direwolves if they aren't the most difficult to possess.
