ShyM-X: You're not wrong there. They are literally everywhere and one of the main group driving the underground economy robbing the UK of legitimate tax contributions. You're also correct that many of them are indeed racist but you will find this applies to most European. An Italian who had migrated to the UK to work in IT had the nerve to tell my friend, a Nigerian IT professional, he does not understand how black folks can be made bosses in the UK. He was moaning because the district head of the large corporation they all worked for was actually a British-Nigerian technocrat. It just did not sit right with him that Britain "allow" so many white folks take orders from a black man. This is how backward some of these Europeans are. Nauseating really. |

I will start as follows: (1) Every country has the right to protect its borders as it deems it fit (2) We Nigerians bring upon ourselves the consequences of our actions. We always feel we can beat systems that have been put in place for the benefit of all.. What ever category of migrants we are anywhere in the world we abuse it up to a level deserving of expulsion. (a) London Metropolitan University had their international students' application withdrawn from these same countries, Nigeria inclusive last year for student visa abuse (b) Qatar banned Nigerians from obtaining their visa not long ago (c) Irish-Born child passport that had been in existence for over 50 years abused by Nigerians to the level it was reviewed (d) Dont even talk about our behaviour in South Africa. It is not that other Nationals do not take advantage of "loopholes" in the Western world, we feel we are smart and are chancing them and ignorantly enough, dont know that the system is closing in on us (Has the system not used Biometrics to close down on "Ori Olori? i.e, using another person's passport) With respect to retaliation like for like, there is nothing to celebrate about that. Dont let your hypocritical leaders fool you...its all grandstanding and hot air puffing and we should stop deluding ourselves that the Western world needs us. What do we have that they cannot get elsewhere? What exactly do we produce and export that is unique to Nigeria alone. In that delusion, the whole world is leaving us behind. let it be known to you that Nigeria is simply a Plundering ground so your retaliatory shakara amounts to nothing except to those who make a killing out of Nigeria. (Did Stella Oduah not disgrace us recently with the threat to ban BA because of ARIK and followed up with perceived harrassment of BA at MMIA when infact, it was the passengers that suffered in the end. Where did it all end, the Minister realised that they goofed badly and promptly found an exit strategy) Were not there threats to ban BA & Virgin for high prices when even ARIK was charging about the same amount? Did they not summon the Airlines before a National Assembly committee and once again embarrassed Nigeria. Have you checked how much tax chops in an Air ticket? Aero ticket from Lagos to PortHarcourt costs about 18,000. Only 4,237 of it goes to Aero, the rest is tax. One of the celebrations of our President's visit to South Africa is the Visa waiver for Diplomatic & Official passports still leaving us ordinary citizens on a waiting time of 5weeks. There was no mention of our own frustrations at the hands of S.A visa offices in lagos. My people, its all about them only o! We the Citizens are on our own o! As for the 3,000 pounds, i think its too high but i dont frown at a form of bond moreso that its refundable & will only be used for search and deportation costs if the person absconds, so genuine applicants need not worry. In closing, Britain is sacrificing heavily by enduring substantial financial cuts to help them get out of debt. they are collectively paying the price for the excesses of the past but we all know that the reverse is the case here in Nigeria where we constantly live in denial and we are throwing money around like lottery winners without any thought for tommorrow. We celebrate 1 Nigerian on Forbes Rich list while 100million others are on poverty list. We celebrate gains from NSE Gambling Casino, the only stock exchange in the world that is immune to SocioPoliticalEconomic happenings. (Terrorism does not affect price of stocks; change of Govt does not affect price of stocks; Inflation does not affect it. It means its a standalone & is not tied to the fabric of the society it exists in. Strange!!) We beg for donations for medical ailments for treatment abroad yet we boast of having the best doctors who use candlelight to perform operations We claim to be the best educated blacks in the world yet 3 marks over 200 is a passmark for cetain people. We are a nation of contradiction & i wonder how long it will last 3 Likes |

[s] coogar:[/s] What Nigerian realities are you on about? Absolute tosh! you don't have a field - the only field you have is a weed field. this is why you ptyalise nonsense 90% of the time. i don't need to know what certification you have got - i am sure you got none. all these stuff are just hot air. i was only pulling jackbauer's legs when i mentioned his wages so stop getting hot under the collar for nothing! Rich coming from a prick who sounds clueless 100% of the time. Stick to the family section with your gibberish. You've no clue about anything - all you ever spew on this forum is absolute nonsense. I doubt you even went past the four-walls of a higher learning institution, to be honest. Are you not the same guy who asserted that you got money taken out of your bank card back straight away? I honestly doubt you've ever been in the UK. Questioning if you've got a UK bank account is a waste of time. [s] on this thread alone, you have branded people as gay, disputed imaginary wages and wrongly criticised the non-inclusion of ghana/poland as the high-risk countries. are you detoxing shymexx? are you battling with the after-taste of hallucinogens? perhaps, you have just suffered another one of those your bi-monthly romantic heartbreaks.[/s] Utter tosh. |

ShyM-X: Yes I know it's slang, but slang apart, the London accent of an educated person is more refined than that of an illiterate. Can you compare the accent if tinie tempah with that of someone like George Osbourne? |

I have actually experienced what Gbawe spoke about. I was on a migration project with NHS last year...and the head of IT there told me point blank to my face that he doesn't usually work with black people but I was different and hardworking... He then went on a rant about lazy black people blah blah. I quit immediately and invoiced them for a month's pay. He was Italian |
Re: UK High Commissioner Explains The £3,000 Visa Bonds by Nobody: 2:48pm On Jun 26, 2013 |
Gbawe: The funniest thing is that most black folks aren't even on benefits, save for the few scroungers. Black folks would rather work than go queue up for £52 a week. And if you do compare averages of the monies taken in taxes from black folks vis-a-vis what they get out of the system in benefits - you'll find out that the system benefits more from us as a people. For the Italian - that's what white privilege bestows on people. Hence, why I'm a firm believer in identity over nationality, regardless of place of birth. |

50calibre: However, was George Osburne raised in South London? Also, George Osburne is a from a posh family and you don't expect him to speak anything other than a posh accent, do you? Accent is different from ghetto speak. If you take out the "ghetto speak" from how most of these guys speak, you will find out that they sound normal like everyone else. |

Gbawe: How about discrimination from fellow blacks? I did some part time work for amazon in 2010, and got heckled constantly for not reaching target by our Zimbabwean team leader, while he smiled about with the white folks. I got tired and quit the job. |

50calibre: Not lying about the bolded. I absolutely hated all my African tutors in uni. And it's same with Africans doing customer service everywhere. I honestly think Africans still have a long way to go with their low self-esteem. Black brits and Caribbeans aren't like that. |

Re: UK High Commissioner Explains The £3,000 Visa Bonds by cap28: 3:17pm On Jun 26, 2013 |
ShyM-X: don't go there bruv - black brits and carribeans can easily give nigerians a run for their money with their obsession with light skin, they secretly idolise whites but hate the rejection they receive from whites - as a result their hatred turns inwards to themselves (self hate) and outwards towards other blacks - when was the last time you saw a black british guy dating or married to a black woman (with brown skin)? |
Re: UK High Commissioner Explains The £3,000 Visa Bonds by Gbawe: 3:18pm On Jun 26, 2013 |
50calibre: Well, this is a problem also. You will find that Africans and black folks, in a work environment, sometimes constitute themselves into each others biggest problems- especially if they are the sort always seeking the validation and approval of white folks because they subconsciously deem them superior. |
Re: UK High Commissioner Explains The £3,000 Visa Bonds by Nobody: 3:24pm On Jun 26, 2013 |
cap28: Subjective, bruddah. I'm talking about brotherhood and black solidarity in everyday live. You'll hardly see a Black brit or Caribbean sales-person, bus-driver, inspector, police-officer, nurse, bank-cashier etc. scream at you and worship white folks at the same time. However, Africans are just so so___________. I hate the bank cashiers the most. Most of them just talk to people anyhow. Anyway, I don't go near them. Also, whenever I call the customer service of any company and I hear the Aff accent - I just lock off my phone, to be honest. Anyway, there are a few exceptions. I remember a naija woman gave me a job time ago, just because of my name. I bet she didn't even check the references. And I'll forever be grateful to that woman. |

ShyM-X: my opinion - damage control on the part of the british high commission - Immigration has always been a tool used by various politicians to get themselves either elected or re-elected - Cameron and his ministers are only doing what others before them have always done. Remember he hasnt finished implementing all of the austerity measures that he warned he would implement but in order to cushion the blow he has to divert the attention of the masses away from the ongoing job cuts, inflationary food prices and wage freezes and keep talking about the one thing the british always unite over - preventing immigrants from coming to "scrounge off their system" the irony is that britain makes more money from its exploitation of nigeria and many other african nations than any benefit scrounger from nigeria would be able to make in a million lifetimes. |

ShyM-X: Some black Brits and Caribbeans are the same, even worse. All those yardie boys going about stabbing fellow black boys? I've seen lots of Caribbean girls who look like scarecrows saying they only eat white chocolate, how about that? The only difference between them and us is the fact they are proud of their heritage, they are proud to be Caribbeans whereas most of us are ashamed of being called Nigerians, some claim Caribbean |

cap28: I concur 100000%. Theresa May is just trying to save her job after all the UKBA scandals that have been all over the news this year. True. We're not even up to 1% of the scroungers in this country save for the baby factories making unwanted kids everywhere and the benefit cheats who use multiple names to scam the system. I don't know any black person who is interested in queuing up for the meagre £52 they give out weekly for JSA. Most can make that in their sleep. |
Re: UK High Commissioner Explains The £3,000 Visa Bonds by cap28: 3:35pm On Jun 26, 2013 |
ShyM-X: Sorry bruv, but i've come across carribean people who are extremely rude and abrupt when talkign to africans but ever so polite and helpful when dealing with oyibos - i think we both have a problem and it emanates from the fact that we have both been taught to direct our hatred inwards and towards any other black person. Try working with black british people as a nigerian and tell me how your experience goes, god help you if you are in a higher position within the work place - if there's one thing a black british (especially of jamaican origin) hates - its taking orders from a black african - they're quite happy to take orders from white south africans or even arabs though. 1 Like |
Re: UK High Commissioner Explains The £3,000 Visa Bonds by Nobody: 3:36pm On Jun 26, 2013 |
50calibre: That has more to do post-code wars. Hence, why I said it's subjective. Also, in London, it's not just yardies - tons of kids with African descent are also involved. Yardies don't even control anywhere in London anymore save for parts of Brixton, maybe Hackney, and North Weezy. African youths have taken over. I've seen lots of Caribbean girls who look like scarecrows saying they only eat white chocolate, how about that? The only difference between them and us is the fact they are proud of their heritage, they are proud to be Caribbeans whereas most of us are ashamed of being called Nigerians, some claim Caribbean I honestly don't think anyone is ashamed of being called Nigerian/African anymore. That's a 90's story. Everyone aligns with their country of descent now. |

cap28: Innate self-hatred is the bane of the black race. I'm aware of the hatred Caribbeans have towards Africans and vice versa. Howver, I understand your POV. Try working with black british people as a nigerian and tell me how your experience goes, god help you if you are in a higher position within the work place - if there's one thing a black british (especially of jamaican origin) hates - its taking orders from a black african - they're quite happy to take orders from white south africans or even arabs though. Oh well, perhaps it's because I'm a Londoner with South London "fleeness" - hence why I don't experience anything. More time, it's more about uniting based on our London-ness and blackness than nationality. I don't really have problems with Caribbeans except when we do our African vs. Caribbean banter. |

ShyM-X: If you want to see scroungers go to places like margate, gillingham, swale - all majority white working class areas of kent. you'll see families which have not worked from generation to generation all because of the safety nets that protect them from being slung out on to the streets. theresa may and the rest of Cameron's millionaire cabinet are just manipulating the british public with lies about how immigrants are taking all the jobs and scrounging off the system - thats why britain is moving rapidly to the right on so many issues - and thats why nigel farage and ukip are so popular. expect more right wing policies directed at making life even harder for foreigners in this country. |
Re: UK High Commissioner Explains The £3,000 Visa Bonds by Nobody: 3:55pm On Jun 26, 2013 |
cap28: Bruv, it's not just foreigners - they are pretty much sha.gging everyone in the ar.se. Immigrants are just the guinea-pigs they're using to sell the dream to everyone. Boris has messed up London - and Cameron is practically making the UK inhabitable for everyone, even right-wingers. You need to check the Tories leaning newspapers like: Dailymail and Telegraph to know how much the right-wingers loathe David Cameron and his cronies. The scary thing is the Scottish referendum - once the Scots leave; then I don't see Labour ever coming back to power. |

ShyM-X: very true everyone is getting a raw deal - everyone except the bankers, cameron's business associates and the british politicians and of course celebrities - well the privatisation of the NHS is underway, Osbourne just announced that he needs to find an additional 11.6 billion pounds which means more jobs losses ahead and over 50% of young black people between teh ages of 18-24 have no jobs - apart from that all is well in the united kingdom |
