It's a pity you don't even know you're wrong. I started the sentence with 'none', irrespective of the noun/pronoun that follows, the verb must be in a singular form.
Another example is:
None of the books is here
(you have several books, but 'no one' is here)

Lemme not even stress myself, I know you won't agree with me. But I'll advise you to make your research and come back here to tell me you finding.

You're changing it. He is a third person singular pronoun. The verb that should follow must also be singular.

When the sentence is "None of his people ______" the verb that must follow should be singular.

*Lemme even consult my dictionary before you succeed in confusing me.

Like with your sentence both are right.

Betty Azar, in Understanding and Using English Grammar, 3rd ed. (Pearson Education, 2002, p. 89), gives examples of both "is" and "are" used with none, referring to count nouns: "None of the boys is here" and "None of the boys are here." The explanation states: "Subjects with none of are considered singular in very formal English, but plural verbs are often used in informal speech and writing."

So, as is often the case in modern English grammar, there is no one answer. The wording you choose illustrates how formal or informal or "correct" you wish to be in your expression. In your example sentence, both None of us want and None of us wants are correct.

So maybe has/have is also not wrong although i would have personally used have first.

When is it appropriate to use have and when is it appropriate to use has?

Use Has -. when only one of each thing, It, She,m He , A /An/One etc

Or If a colletive , for instance the family/the Police is seen upon as one then has (in America), but in Britain its have ..

(BUT it varies in British English and America English and ...)

When using the present tense (with 'to have' as the main verb), or the present perfect tense (with 'to have' as the auxiliary verb), 'has' is used only in the third person singular-- that is, when the subject is a single entity that is not you or I: he, she, it, John, the Eiffel Tower, etc.

I have a headache.
You have a headache.
She/ he/ it/ John/ the Eiffel Tower has a headache.
We have headaches.
You all have headaches.
They have headaches.

I have never eaten locusts.
You have never eaten locusts.
She/he/it/John/the Eiffel Tower has never eaten locusts.
We have never eaten locusts.
You all have never eaten locusts.
They have never eaten locusts.

Saga, we are both correct
*when you use 'none of' with an uncountable noun, the verb is in the singular: e.g None of the work was done.
*When you use 'none of' with a plural noun or pronoun, or a singular noun referring to a group of people or things; you can either use a singular or a plural verb. But the singular form is used in a formal style in BrE. e.g None of the trains is/are going to london.
