Like seriously? I thought Afrikaans was only spoken by white South Africans of Dutch ancestry. I never knew some blacks in SA speak Afrikaans too.

Afrikaans is a second language subject in most white schools. Like with me, I didn't have a choice but had to learn the language.

I was introduced to the language in high school, grade11. I just bunked every afrikaans lesson until my mother pleaded on my behalf. from there I was free sha.

My mom's friend grew up in the plots, she can't read or write but she can even dream in afrikaans, I dey vex
