Pls i need help here! I have been on birth control implant(implanon) for five months and its been crazy for me. Headaches,fever,bloatedness,blurred vision and general body weakness. I have also not seen af for over four months now and I've added weight seriously. I am sooo fed up of this implant and want it off. But some friends said its normal.

Pls for those who have had experiences or presently experiencing any of these symptoms, pls come in and share as this will help me alot. Thanks

Babes in EU use pills instead of the implant, the side effect of implants should have been properly explained by your doctor ai he nor tell you?

are u not aware of all these before you go ahead with the implant...........my sister it is normal and the best thing i would advise for you is to withdraw and abstain or used c.d

Every birth control has its own side effect, mayb u shud see a doctor or a counsellor for proper orientation on family planning and the best method 4u !

You need to go back and speak to your Doctor.Ive been on IUD for about 2 years its non hormornal wont make you add weight but it increases your blood flow.Ask if it will be a good alternative for you.

@OP, I've never used it. Is it one of those contraceptions that releases hormones? It sounds like it is. Weight gain is a common side effect of hormonal contraceptives.

I wish women would stay off of those. Chemists have turned women into guinea pigs, the way they market these chemicals that have all sorts of negative effects. They don't sound worth the hassle and irritability to me. It sounds like you're in discomfort anyway.

Just use condoms. Hormone free, pain free, and most of all, protects against HIV and other STDs that are passed through fluids.
