@Nwando, Of course not for anniversary. Uchenna, take note o: For our anniversary, I want something shiny, black, has four wheels and the symbol LEXUS in the front!! Yes, you can bring the flowers, our kitchen table would look nicer wiv it Uche2nna:No, for my man, I'd do more for him than he did for me. I know that naija men are not romantic, but I'd reward him for trying |
Re: Nigerian Men And Flowers by Queenisha: 12:19am On Aug 17, 2008 |
Uche2nna: not by me. Utensils are household stuff not a gift for a wife or girlfriend. Thank God so far,I've never received one from Mr Osisi as a birthday gift I'll be mortified. |
Re: Nigerian Men And Flowers by Queenisha: 12:21am On Aug 17, 2008 |
Ruby_Pearl: Ok then. Let's not call it a gift. It doesn't qualify He merely bought some household stuff |

Re: Nigerian Men And Flowers by onyinye2(f): 12:23am On Aug 17, 2008 |
For my anniversary i expect more than some stupid gift that has no thought in it. To me it is not the money that counts. I would except a day at the beach just him and me. Having a time of fun and love, then something material. |
Re: Nigerian Men And Flowers by Uche2nna(m): 12:23am On Aug 17, 2008 |
Queenisha: Queenisha: I agree. Utensils should not count. |

First off, you don't call people imbeciles, especially people you don't know. Try to have class and behave in a civil manner. I treated you like you DESERVED to be treated. I made a comment and you had the audacity to try to make it personal with "oh maybe that's how YOU'RE treated", and you expected me not to respond to you in the same way? You must be drunk off some cheap beer. Like I said before, tit for tat. and I like how you used that line to hide and ignore everything else that was said. Cant say Im surprised. Ara e lon ton je |

It's obvious that the western colonization is not over yet. The worst is to willingly submit your mind for perpetual colonization. I like flowers for beautification, for romance it doesn't play major role. |

Re: Nigerian Men And Flowers by cold(m): 2:02pm On Aug 18, 2008 |
Epluribus: So givin flowers maqs u more civil than i am,ha!remarkable if u ask me.This just shows how shallow ur reasoning can get.U think givin a flower wld maq a girl luv u any more than she wld if u didn't?It's ur type that always com to NLD cryin & postin topics how u were ditched & seekin advise on how to reconcile(slowpoke). While u're bizy giving flowers she's bizy thinkin of me,go figure. |
Re: Nigerian Men And Flowers by Epluribus(m): 2:25pm On Aug 18, 2008 |

Re: Nigerian Men And Flowers by lucabrasi(m): 3:07pm On Aug 18, 2008 |
@topic the fact that a nigerian girl's though would be focused on if the guy cant or cant afford 11 more roses shows that that are like that still have a long way to go to meet up with progressive thinking of western girls/women, so they ll rather prefer the guy to buy a carton of roses or maybe even buy cadbury s chocolate factory for them |

Re: Nigerian Men And Flowers by Nixie(f): 6:39pm On Aug 18, 2008 |
I don't think Naija men are big fans of flowers for loads of different reasons. it always seems forced somehow. a bit forgivable at traditional celebrations: valentines, couples anniversaries.i'm not a big fan of flowers myself. gimme chocolates. u STILL get to express your undying devotion PLUS i get to eat them. win win situation if you ask me! lol |
Re: Nigerian Men And Flowers by ssRhino: 7:33pm On Aug 18, 2008 |
Nixie: And i heard the chocolate cld trigger some emotion in the ladies, how true is that? |
Re: Nigerian Men And Flowers by onyinye2(f): 7:35pm On Aug 18, 2008 |

Re: Nigerian Men And Flowers by ssRhino: 7:38pm On Aug 18, 2008 |
