I never believed the saying that an African country can never win the world cup until i witnessed the recent showing of Fifa double standard policies. Even the appointment of match officials are done in such a way that it would favor a particular country. All what is done in the field of play has already been arranged before the kickoff.

To drive in my point is the case of Super eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi who was intentionally kicked in the angle by french player Matuidi which automatically send him out of play from 6 to 7 months, a replay showed Matuidi going after Onazi's leg instead of the ball.
Despites calls by many football legends including Maradona that Matuidi should be sanctioned, instead FIFA claimed that nothing is wrong with the tackle.

The following week, player Neymar jr, sustained injury from zuniga knee tackle that send him out for 6 to 8 weeks... Fifa to investigate Zuniga kneel tackle.

Isn't these two actions of racism too glaring? in other words, an African leg is breakable but white man's leg is untouchable. Kai Fifa please Fear God!!!

The hand writing is clearly written on the wall by Fifa that Africa can only try but can't never win the world cup. It's time Africa unite and protest against Fifa's injustice. AFRICA MUST BOYCOTT THE NEXT FIFA WORLD CUP TO REGISTER OUR DISPLEASURE. enough is Enough

I thought I was the only one. Fifa is the number on hypocrite in the fight against racism. Giroud elbowed mikel, nothing happened. Matuid use cutlass cut Onazi leg, nothing happen. Zuniga accidentally knee neymar...investigation sharperly!!

See d kind ban wey dem gin Suarez becos he single handedly bundled England out of the #WC. England people just mount pressure on fifa after he bit Chiellini and they gave him the most ridiculous ban ever. Shame on FIFA.

WHY AFRICA MUST IMPROVE THEIR FOOTBALL INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING AND LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO BLAME

You guys are quick to blame FIFA for Africa's failure, but fail to tackle the main reason Africa can't win the world cup. The number one reason why we can't win the world cup yet is INDISCIPLINE.

Of the five African teams which qualified to play in the World Cup, three were involved in pay scandals. Players from Cameroon got their protest in before the tournament had even started. They refused to board a plane to Brazil following an argument over money, delaying their arrival by almost a day. Next, Ghana made a laughing stock of itself when it flew $3m in cash to Brazil to avert a match boycott by players demanding their appearance fees. Finally, Nigeria’s Super Eagles cancelled a training session ahead of the crucial knockout round in protest over bonus payments. Presidential intervention was required to settle that argument.

It got worse from there. Ghana’s team fell apart only hours after its cash arrived. Two of its players were sent home, one for an alleged “unprovoked physical attack” on a Football Association (FA) official, and one for reportedly swearing at his coach. Then there were the match-fixing allegations. Cameroon’s football federation says it is investigating claims that seven “bad apples” on its team were involved in fixing the results of games.

Just take a look at this.

Now u talk about FIFA favoring other countries?

A lot of decisions went Africa's way but I will only list a few.

1. Mexico vs Cameroun: Giovani Dos Santos scored 2 legitimate goals that were wrongly ruled out for offside. If that was against an African country it would have been a case study by now. But Mexico moved on, while Africans are still complaining.

2. Mexico vs Cameroun: Giovani Dos Santo's stone wall penalty that wasn't given. Again if that was against an African country we all would be crying by now and blaming FIFA.

3. Mexico vs Cameroun: Alex Song's 2 footed tackle on Dos Santos. Definite red card offence, he didn't even go for the ball. But guess what, he didn't get red. In the match report it stated that Song was lucky not to see red, but if that happened to an African player we all will be saying racism, fifa hates us, bla bla bla just like the case of Matuidi who was lucky not to see red just like Song, but Nigerians always look for someone to blame, so we blame FIFA.

4. Nigeria vs Bosnia: Edin Dzeko's legitimate goal that was ruled out for offside. Now nobody talks about this anymore, but u guys forgot if this goal had stood, we probably wouldn't have made it into the second round. If that was a Nigerian goal, I'm sure hundreds of threads would have been opened describing how FIFA didn't want us to get into the second round.

You talk about Matuidi's tackle on Onazi?
Yes its a bad tackle, but this thing happens in football. Onazi is not the first player to suffer a bad tackle in the world cup, so why the whinning? Again simple tactic by the French coach. Take out Onazi and Matuidi did this

Now ask an African player to take out a player and he did this

The difference between the 2? One went for the ball and missed, 50/50 situation depending on how the ref sees it. The other took out the player blatantly without the ball which leaves the ref with no option than give a red card.

Until we sort out our discipline problems and improve our academies, stop age cheating.. we will never win the world cup. Africa lack real talents when it comes to the big stage. We thrive in youth tournaments because we use over aged players. When it is time for these players to get into the national team, they would be too old and past their best and that is why we Bleep up at the highest level.

You are talking of calls denied. That is a referee making a wrong call. The OP is talking about Maradona pointing out that what Matuidi did was worse than Suarez' bite. Yet FIFA turned a deaf ear.

Now it is Neymar, a Brazilian, FIFA is ready to investigate.

So are you saying because a referee made wrong calls in favor of Cameroun, Onazi's leg break should not be investigated? A lot of wrong calls favored Brazil, yet these guys are ready to investigate Neymar.

Please, I do not agree with Africans keeping quiet in the face of injustice.

The OP is just asking for equality. If Neymar's case is to be investigated, then do the same for Onazi.

We are not (or at least, we SHOULD NOT BE) singling our nigeria to say that we were victims and were cheated. EVERY other country can say the same thing as well...we're not talking abour Africa here, bosnia, mexico, croatia, spain are all saying the same thing because they were cheated at some point.

Don't believe in everything u read. Moreover, there is really nothing to investigate about Onazi's tackle, it happens everyday in football. Also Neymar's tackle happens everyday in football, if referee didn't give the card when the incident occurred, then its over. But then there was news that Neymar felt like he was paralysed when the incident occurred which made FIFA feel like they should investigate. I know they are just speculations, nothing will be done to Juan Zuniga. Also let's face the fact, Neymar is a player we dream to have in our team.. add all our players together them still no match his talents.. he's the golden boy of Brazil and they are just getting the edge as the host. Nothing more.

No card was given in Suarez's case and yet it was not over. Fifa investigated the case and took action. What Mara Dona is saying is that, if Matuidi intentionally broke Onazi's leg, which Maradona believes was intentional. Fifa should investigate it like the Suarez case because he considers Matuidi's action worse.

FIFA has announced their staffs will investigate the Neymar's case. If they are to investigate it, they should also do the same for Onazi. It is not about a developed league or not. It is a FIFA organised tournament. Equality should be a standard. Even if it is a player from Somalia or Myanmar.

Please, don't even bring Suarez's case into this because what he did was a disgrace and barbaric. How can u bite ur fellow player. That is not his first or second but his 3rd in about 3 years. Suarez deserve more punishment to be sincere. Tackling is part of football, biting has no place in football.

So you think Neymar will prefer being handicapped for weeks. Strapped and immobilised. He can not play his last games at the World Cup. To being beaten ten times.

I bet you, Neymar would have preferred being bitten to having his backbone broken.

Same with Onazi.

U still do not understand. Yes neymar would rather be bit and still play than receive a bad challenge and get injured. What happened to neymar is part of football. U get paid to play, to be tackled, to be pulled, to be pushed, even to be elbowed. But biting.... Hmm BITING is absolutely out if the question. At least the player that injured neymar went for the ball. Suarez did not go for the ball... The ball wasn't even close, that is animalistic to be sincere. What if he had poison in his teeth and he happened to tear a blood vessel in the course of the stewpid useless bite?

WE ARE TRYING TO ERADICATE BARBARISM FROM THE BEAUTIFUL GAME. Quit supporting Suarez.

The reason why an investigation is called for is because of premeditate. Did he plan to injure Neymar? There is a difference between an accidental clash, that is part of football and a plan to injure someone in disguise of playing the ball.

If Zuniga planned to injure Neymar and covered it by pretending he was going for the ball, it is worse than Suarez' bite.

If Blaise Matuidi intentionally planned to injure and take out Onazi. Then, he did worse than Suarez.

Fifa is investigating Zuniga, they should do the same for Matuidi, if not, there is a segregation for being treated well by Fifa.

Abi ooo. Top players like ibrahimovic and lewadowski are not playing in the world cup because their teams failed to qualify... And because we are forced to watch disgraceful Cameroon and other African countries. Abeg let Africa boycott the world cup, then there will be more slots for people like Gareth bale, lewadowski and ibrahimovic who's countries fail to qualify.

Do you know FIFA invite African countries to create a global image. It is a global tournament. Also with Africans participating, more fans get involved with the tournament. Africa provides hundreds of million viewers.

So if you think the tournament is just about star players and popular names, Fifa would not have increased the Number of African teams to Five from Three.

After increasing it to 32, Fifa should not have increased the African slot and filled it up with only European teams, so Ibrahimovic and Lewandowski can play.

If Africa was irrelevant, they would have not increased ours and increased the Asians. Asians still have Three slots, why we have Five. More of the slots would have been given to more European teams.

It will be a joke if you feel the merchandise sold by Adidas is only worn on the pitch. Please Adidas has a large African market. They market their goods in Africa.

It is a lie saying Africa lacks real talents. I will take Yaya Toure over many of the top European mid fielders.

If Africa lacks real talents, why is it that many clubs buy African talents.

Aside yaya toure, how many African players are playing top football. How many African players are in the first eleven of top football clubs? Real Madrid zero. Chelsea zero ( Mikel is a squad player, moses so bad they loaned him out), even arsenal that likes to buy cheap players don't have an African in their first eleven. Barcelona too, burussia Dortmund have only aubameyang, Bayern Munich have none (pls don't tell me alaba because he is not African anymore), Manchester united have non, Liverpool have none, PSG , atletico Madrid all have no Africans on their first eleven. So where are the talents?
