MissMeiya:For the record, I do not support criminalization/persecution of gays (LGBT in general). I still feel that it is ironic that America has made polygamy illegal. At least that is to my knowledge because when I was once filling some forms pertaining to visa there was something there to that effect. How is polygamy affecting equality? Both men and women will be allowed to practice it. |

Symphony007: It gives me great joy that there are still countries in africa with a judiciary that does it job without sentiments or personal feelings. No country on earth can have a constitution which protects fundamental human rights then go ahead to criminalize freedom of expression. It is ridiculous and no judiciary will stand for that. Nigeria should take note. Our supreme court must strike down ours if it gets to their desk. If our governments wants it's anti gay law to stand, then it should do a constitutional amendment were fundamental human rights is removed then a law like that can stand. But you can't claim to protect human rights and put people in jail for living their lives because you don't like how they do it. It's a mockery of constitutional democracy. You can't eat your cake and have it. oga you cant dash me human rights. you can't give me what is already me own. Human rights are supposed to be intuitive of every human to give to the other. It need not be put a constitution to be followed. my opinion. |

Existence in an isolation to supreme principles of the Almighty Creator has been the utmost longing of human heart. It is the major cause of proliferation of false beliefs and practices that abound in our contemporary world. America has been so active in proving the eschatological authenticity of the teachings of the Holy Bible. And to the wise, prepare for the second advent of the Lamb(our Lord Jesus Christ). |

dhammyg: NICE.WHEN WILL NIGERIANS\AFRICANS LEARN THAT WHAT TWO ADULTS CHOOSE TO DO IN THEIR BEDROOM IS NONE OF THEIR BIZ. [b]What two adults choose to do in their bedroom is very much the society's business. If you are 18 & above and you decide to sleep with your mum, it is very much the business of society to stop you from committing that atrocity. If you are 18 & above and you & your sister who is equaly above 18 decide to sleep together, it is very much society's business to stop both of you from committing that crime called insest. Likewise when two senseless (adult) males decides to sleep together it is very much the business of the state to stop them from committing that atrocity. Some of you think everything from the western world is all good. But you must know that every society and every people decides what is good for them and what is not in line with what is universaly accepted. Every right thinking human being knows that being gay is being crazy. Simply because Obama and some weird western leaders has impressed it upon their legislatures to pass the gay right bills does not make it the right thing. Uganda passed the anti gay law. But they obviously do not have the lever to withstand the unslaught in the form of sanctions etc from the west. Uganda breaths mostly on foreign aids from the west, that is why Museveni has made a U-turn by going through the back door to arm-twist the supreme court to overturn the law. That is pure cowardise. He shouldnt have started what he does not have the ability to withstand. Nigeria on the other hand is a regional power and therefore a world power. The U.S or the West does not have much leverage to use in arm twisting Jonathan to act cowardly like Museveni on this gay right nonsense (have you heard of any sanctions imposed on Nigeria because of the anti-gay right bill we passed here?). So anyone dreaming that Nigeria will change the anti-gay law soon is on a pipe dream. Nigerians in our overwhelming majority approves the anti gay legislation here. So the highest Obama can do is not to visit Nigeria during Jonathan's reign (I dont see him visiting any time soon anyway because that Obama does not show respect to whom respect is due, and his African policy is whack). Stats for HIV/AIDS in the LGBT community vis-a-vis heterosexuals in America: WASHINGTON, DC, July 8, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A fact sheet released at the end of June by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) warns that HIV rates, already at epidemic proportions, are continuing to climb steadily among men who have sex with men (MSM). ^^^Now let's do the maths: gays make up 4% of the male population, yet they make up 63% of all new infections among men. Now apply that to Africa and see if that won't quintuple the HIV/AIDS epidemic on the continent. That's scary, especially for a continent that's struggling to deal with the virus, at the moment. |

Let the government prove how a consexual relationship among two adults of sound mind is a threat to the state or other citizens. Does suicide affect the state I anyway yet it is illegal in most countries. I think Americans and the west failed to condemn this nonsense at the early stages when it started. now its a norm and almost too big to be controlled |

kobonaire: For the record, I do not support criminalization/persecution of gays (LGBT in general). No. It is not entirely illegal in the US. It wouldn't take a lot of time to look that up. It's not a secret. Polygamy is unequal because of its INHERENT unbalance. Not to mention the additional financial benefits that a polygamist would receive from the government. The potential for abuse with fake marriages. There are endless arguments. But the bottom line is, it's not based on morality. So there is absolutely NO comparison between polygamy laws and this barbaric, COLONIAL-BASED legalized violation of human rights. 5 Likes |

SirShymex: Stats for HIV/AIDS in the LGBT community vis-a-vis heterosexuals in America: And you think it would be better if they were sleeping with women? Surely if you sleep with women, you should be happiest if all of the gay men can enjoy sleeping with other men, rather than infecting all of the women, too? And by the way, your maths is broken, as the number you figures lead to would be far, far more than the actual population of gay people. 3 Likes |
