Be deceiving yourself lmao. When leaders keep all their stolen loot abroad, send their kids to foreign unis and even fly out to treat just a common cold because of the bad health-care system THEY helped destroy, you think we are free from colonization? Anyway this is not the forum for all that. Enjoy your celebration!

54 years my foot! The sooner we stop this idiotic false patriotism of "no matter how nigeria is it's our country" and realize we have real problems, work hard to bequeath a better nation for the next generation, the better for us least we keep draging out this failure called nigeria into a century. And the longer it takes the more painful it gets! Enjoy your celebrations.

This independence is worth celebrating. Celebrating our heroes past is a very good thing. They fought for freedom and they got the freedom.
Then it was the Queen of England that controlled us, today we do it ourselves.
That our present day leaders are mismanaging our resources doesn't take us back or put us into the situation of being colonized.
We are free from external interference and that is the true meaning of independence.
