The reality is the rest of the world should fear contagious diseases coming out of Africa more than Africans. The sheer diversity of Africans compared to the rest of the world combined means they have more chance of leaving survivors.

I wouldn't be surprised if erectus and neadentherthals were wiped out by a contagious disease originating from Africa and spread by recent descendants of African humans who over the generations became immune to it. Similar to what old world migrants did to the native American population.

Not really a tragedy. We've got Somalis, Bantu, and remnants of Arab, Persian and Portuguese people in Somalia. The Somali ethnicity is just the overwhelming majority in the country.
