I watched it too. But what I gathered 4rm the news was; the person who spoke on camera said the woman to be arrested had already taken her bath, but only requested to be allowed to put on her close, which the police disagreed, and then resulted to the fight.

Thee Nigerian police had no right going to arrest that tenant without a court order. The matter is a civil matter and not a criminal matter. There is no charge they could possibly have had to go make that arrest.

Secondly.. Those officers don price bad market.

Did the landlady got the quit notice from the court or police station. The notice is always issued by the court for certain period after which the court representative will be at the resident to pack the tenant load if she refuses to leave. So why did the police went to enforce the notice instead of the court? Police lawlessness. But they shouldnt b treated that way.

the landlady does not need to get a "quit notice" from police or court. The landlady has to give the notice to quit to the tenant depending on the tenancy agreement which she did. Once that runs out and the tenant is still there, the landlady should get a court order to remove the tenant. If she doesn't comply, the landlord should get a warrant for eviction which allows law enforcers to force the tenant to leave. If the landlord lives in the same house as her, then the landlady doesn't necessarily need a court order.

Dead on point bro. People just type rubbish when they know next to nothing about how the law works. If a police is assaulted in the course of an illegal act, the policeman is on his own. They should be thanking God that they did not die. I am available to provide legal services to the people that beat up the police.
