queenlabisi: Indeed he said Claro, that I know. Clara I know, Caro (Caroline/Carolina) I also know, but Claro Caro is the street slang for a girl who's down for whatever. So his chorus was about him being in the mood that required a Caro. He might have been avoiding a copyright issue, but I reckon he his guilty of the same error made by Timaya, who sang "pump champagne" instead of pop champagne (to uncap). Most people realise the errror and decide to go with the original flow. If the video is obscene, does that become rape? Or did rape occur in the video? That is the argument of this thread. One is a moral issue, the other, a very criminal assault. |

mbulela: Are you talking about Olamide's song or something else? Who is encouraging u to rape? The OP got the interpretation of the song wrong, simple. @all those shouting rape, Sunny Ade, China Peters, Fela (shakara oloje...), Ebenezer Obey etc all have made songs like using there own genre, I guess they are all talking about rape too. Mtcheew! |

Brightgem: Iya Jesu, what most of you religious folks fail to understand is you guys will go to the hell you promote first. You have no right to judge others and their choice of songs. |

mbulela: You build your argument from a standpoint of rape, I built mine from the song. If you do not perceive that you already have rape lingering in your subconscious mind, then there's not much I can do to give you a different perspective. Booze and drugs? Yes! One night stand? Yes! Did he get a permit? Obviously! Was the act rough? Expectedly! Dude did not tire, he was on a roll. His other/same sexual exploit (which could have even been a narrative explaining how he got the first and same girl to his home) even came with a friend, who joined in the or.gy. I see a consensual sex or.gy, please show me the rape. 1 Like |

Hhhhmmmm.... When I read that article on sahara reporters I just did mttcheewww. Another misguided article. In Yoruba language, there are different meanings to the same words. He's not glorifying rape. She said she cannot wait , its getting late and all that is the normal forming of a girl, the. Oti kan mi lapa eyin and co means after taking his ope eyin dogonyaro etc, he worked on her so hard she started speaking in morrocco So op na u knw who interprete for you.most nigerian music glrofy fornication so leave BADOO alone. 1 Like |

A point is made here. You would always think the noisy ambulance is carrying a log of wood if it hymn passes. But na another person dead body related to someone who is in pain. It is wen it has not affected you that one would counter what this dear writer wrote here until it touches you. 1 Like |

:-but who can explain the part of the song 'ti o ba dun e, ko faramo.' Which means ' withstand the pain however you want to (I don't care if you are in pains) '...that is not something I as a woman would want to experience from a man but that said, I think the song is a strategy by Olamide to blow the youths' minds by singing about fornication in such a lousy and cunny manner. # market strategy tins# May God save us in this generation. 1 Like |

Omo this guy dey vex oh! There are different interpretations to everything. I see the song as one describing a babe trying to form sharp (prolly after the guy has flexed her), not as one encouraging rape. Besides they all sing about rubbish, all of them. Just free your mind and dance to the beat. Or write a petition to GEJ and copy IGP |

The OP has added irrelevant complexity to the lyrics, and has done great diservice by excluding the sections where lyric suggests the subject t came of her own will including a friend Naffi The song might not be morally upright but I can not for any reason suggest it glorifies rape or special harrasment |
