Obasanjo is talking of marginalization, what of the defenceless Biafrans he killed while fighting in their lands. After the war why the remaining Biafrans did take up arms again to fight the injustice meted out to them by Obasanjo and his friends.

To be very candid, this old soldier, suppose to be arrested by Aso rock irrespective of his statemanship. He does not talk like old man.

FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN

The southern Christians in the northern parts of Nigeria have had enough of this buffoonery in the wicked hands of their Muslim brothers. Nigeria fought a civil war caused by some disgruntled army officers from the south between 1967-70. Gowon declared the war no victors no vanquished, but clandestinely the Christian south was marginalized socio- economically, politically, academically and so on. Since 1970 till date, the Christian south has not known any peace. North being the sadist is always nursing repugnance to the people of the south. This ushered in north and south schism.

The colonial master, Britain, out of her personal aggrandizement amalgamated north and south in the year 1914.These were different entities, with their cultural, ethnic and linguistic set up. Nigeria got her independence from Britain 52 years ago, out of which 37 years were ruled with iron fist through the barrels of the guns, of the military, predominantly from the Muslim north that formed the back bone of the army. The rest of the years were handled by the Muslim civilian presidents also from the north.

Olusegun Obasanjo who was part of the military aberrations 1976-79 as head of state and later civilian president through dubious means 1999-2008, was remote controlled from the north. The northern oligarchy was holding the country at ransome for years.

The effect of the war is still visible in the east because the war was fought in their lands and they are seen as the main culprits. State security apparatus was used to suppress their people. Because of the economic quagmire as a result of the war; most of them migrated to the north and outside Nigerian shores in search of greener pastures. There in the north they are being massacred for no just cause. Their properties confiscated or destroyed illegally. In the face of all these atrocities, the legitimate authorities did nothing to protect them.

What we are seeing now from Boko Haram started in the 1980s when a radical, violent and lethal sect from Muslim north in the former Borno state capital Maiduguri, known as Maitesine emerged from the blues with their doctrines at hand. To drive their points home when nobody was ready to listen to them, they started fighting and killing their fellow Muslim brothers. As that was not enough, they extended their turpitude to the Christians with wanton destructions of their properties. The name Maitesine was so dreadful to some degree that at some quarters where the rumor is making round, no one will venture out from the house. Later he was apprehended and killed, his followers dispersed and disappeared into the thin air. Some years later, Muslim youths started attacking Christians viciously in the same north, also for no just reason, telling them to go back to the south or the east. Some even said go back to your country, which epitomizes 2-3 nations joined as one.

It was so bad to the alarming point that Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu of blessed memory, embarked on a journey of condolence to Kano in 1991, where he urged and told the easterners to stand firm and fight back. He advised them to stop running away because this is one Nigeria which belongs to all of us. The great man was right because “if peace cannot be maintained by man`s mere personal influence, the only alternative is the use of force,” stipulated by a great thinker. One school of thought said also that in the time of crisis to be law abiding is illegal.

Believe you me, people of the world, this is why a group known as massob( Movement for the actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra) appeared from their conclave agitating for the total freedom of their people on the platform of peace, for they have had enough of the persecution, marginalization and isolation. “Truth, however bitter, can be accepted, and woven into a design for living “, the words of Dame Agatha Christie.

There is a privy move to discredit the government of Goodluck Jonathan, a Christian from the south, after all, a powerful politician from the north once said prior to Jonathan`s ascendancy to the throne, that they will make his government ungovernable, for they see the office of the presidency as their birthright. And remember that the north started rioting immediately he emerged as the winner of the presidential poll. The intention; to frustrate, the remaining polls.

Former military ruler, Muhammadu Buhari, who is popular in the north, denied instigating the sad, unfortunate and totally unwarranted events that took place.

How could one justify and quantify the onslaught, mayhem and wickedness on the Christians in the north by Boko Haram? Aljazeera international cable news on the 22nd June 2012, Professor Buba Misawa from Jefferson College Washington DC in USA, said Boko Haram was driven by grind poverty, unemployment and other social ills bedeviled the society. Buba has forgotten that the north was at the helm of affairs of Nigeria state, for many years. So the blame is now shifted down to the southern Christians who have to bear the brunt. On the other hand, Alhaji Garba Sani, the head of the Nigerian Muslim forum, UK, supported, by saying that all boils down to social injustice in the north. This is pure fallacy, mendacity and ridiculous. An adage says that a millipede that was stepped upon did not make any noise or cry rather the person who stepped upon it, raised an alarm by jumping up and down. If you are talking of social injustice visit south, particularly east, you will see the monster with your two naked eyes.

Niger delta militant group took up arms because of what we are talking about,” A man who has committed a mistake and do not correct it, is committing another mistake “beautiful statement from Confucius. The north had committed terrible mistakes to the Nigerian political life, for so long, without telling the populace the truth. When a nation is under political stalemate, it adversely affects the economy and other facets of the country`s well-being. We are sick and tired of their cock and bull stories.

Buba Misawa also said that there is a serious attempt to destroy the northern society. Some elements of truth are been hidden here. Please Prof expatiate this statement to the fullest. Between 1986-7, the late Mohammadu Gumi, the Sheikh Musulumi of Nigeria then, once said that instead of Christian president, the nation will disintegrate. That means a Christian south will never rule Nigeria. Two months later he fell terribly sick and was rushed to overseas for treatment where he passed on.

The revered archbishop of Lagos, Cardinal Olubumi Okogie once gave the Muslims stern warning about the killings of the Christians in the name of religious upheaval. That if they want to set the country ablaze, Christians are ready. He also intoned that the country does not belong to them only. The former leader of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi, who died gruesomely last year October, while commiserating with the victims of religious riot in the north in March 2010, said that religious uprising is the main factor that will split Nigeria. David Mark, the senate president denied that fact by telling the national house of assembly and the people of the world that nobody should waste his valuable time listening to that mad man. He refuted by saying that it was land dispute between two communities. Mark was part of the military that ruined the country as Fela Anikulakpo Kuti, the afro music maestro, said when he was alive. David Mark, one time telecommunications minister as a colonel said that telephone was not meant for the poor.

The Boko Haram has more serious agenda not yet disclosed. It is not only Islamization of the nation neither the western influence nor having sharia laws all over the country as they claimed. I believe firmly that there are more secret issues, only time shall tell.

Boko Haram, Maitesine and religious uprising with their nefarious activities is the continuation of Ibo massacres of 1966 in the north, where more than 130,000 lives of the Ibo men, women and children were ruthlessly terminated by the joint teams of northern soldiers and civilians. The distinguished and powerful British author, Fredrick Forsyth calls it pogrom of genocidal proportions.

Now the big question is who are the godfathers of these hoodlums? Our people normally say that there is no smoke without fire. I`m not militant by nature, but just articulating and unfolding the naked truth buried under the carpet.

Finally, the great Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) as it was known then split into about fifteen republics without a bullet fired, therefore if Nigeria will follow suit there is nothing wrong, just for peace to rein. Nigeria does not belong to the Muslims only as stated above by the honorable archbishop of Lagos. Any one campaigning for sharia laws all over the secular nation is absolutely lunatic.

“Okpoko” is a very huge bird that makes a lot of noise while flying. A sage says that any cricket killed by Okpoko, was deaf. My Christian brothers in the northern parts of the country, does it mean that you have not heard or seen the fire on the mountain? When a tree hears it`s felling and yet stands in the same position, but when a human being hears such a rumor, he picks up race, wise saying of our elders. A word is enough for the wise.

For those who are not tribalistic or sentimental, they know definitely have legitimate grievances and some of their frustrations can and should be understood

However, it doesn't give them any right or justify some of the actions and courses they have taken in voicing out!

And only God knows what this man's problem is (its not age).
PGEJ taking things with laxity?
That is new.....please do not be misled by the tantrums being bandied by OBJ in his usual self eulogizing and blame a fixing game......
Ex-Speaker, Bello Aminu Masari, gave an interview were he stated that he was privy to correspondences from and was in attendance as the nations number four citizen at several high level meetings in which the US government for warned the Nigerian government then led by OBJ about things to come from the then BH in its nascent stage and urged it to do more to clamp down on its leadership and follower ship to nip the disaster in the bud...
OBJ did nothing...rather clamped down on the leaders of the BH group by having them incarcerated by the Col. Ore led DSS and subsequently released under inexplicable circumstances.....
Ex-Speaker Masari's claims were supported by the claims of Alh. M. Asari-Dokubo....who claimed that he met the BH leaders in the underground detention facilities of the DSS in Abuja during the course of his detention that heralded his treason felony trial under OBJ....
I guess the establishment of an Islamic caliphate and forced conversion of every breathing thing to Islam are the grievances of the BH that we need to accommodate going by OBJs postulations...

Sanctimonious wog. The national conference outcome must be implemented if our nation will move forward.

I now understand the warning with his infamous letter to GEJ while on his way to South Africa, on the 10th of December 2013, for Madiba's funeral. Obj doesn't want any thing to happen to his ill gotten wealth.

What of our oil wells he gave out as birthday gifts to some certain individuals? He also has oil wells

You could vivdly see that late Sani Abacha knew why he wanted to put rope on OBJ's neck

Finally, if boko haram have legitimate grievances, what do we call that of their victims and every nigerian whose life have been adversely affected by d menace caused by the ins urgency?

I wonder why Obj has been going up and down trying to twist story we all know. Abi he wants to cover evil of boko haram and make it something that never happened? Obj should stop playing our intelligence because he wants to be friend of notable enemies of progress and good people of Nigeria. We can't be surprised, His recent drama goes beyond what we could give ordinary meaning. Pa Obj will never stop to amaze us. Last time it was tearing/renouncing what made him president for 8 years on which he still sought for extension, now it was praising boko haram for all they have done. Haba! Baba.

He claims that boko haram exists because they are not educated. Who made them illiterates? Why are they destroying schools built for them, including alimajiri shools being built by Jonathan? He said they are marginalized, is it the Jonathan government that has marginalized them since 1960? That they keep reacting to presently.
