Gbawe: Unfuckingbelievable ! The lives and destinies of over 100 million Nigerians determined off the cuff of appearances, moods, maybes and Shylocks. And the voice of Moses leading his people to the slaughter. It is Nigeria anyway.. The only phenomenon that is sustainable is deception and stagnancy. Now you can see why that is so. 1 Like 1 Share |

Different faces, same outcome. From what we can see with names like Saraki being mentioned another era of impunity and reckless corruption will be starting very soon. Politicians have an insatiable appetite for power, wealth and influence. Now APC is coming into power they can only perform worse than the PDP (personal development party) in looting and accumulation of personal wealth as PDP has set the standard and I doubt they would allow themselves to be outdone. Looks like APC will be known as Acquisition for personal consumption party. so whats new with politics and politicians in Nigeria? A few more billionaires will be made and a few million more nigerians will slip below the poverty line yet again. If APC disappoint then nigerians will have truly had enough, we will sweep away all old school politician and disband both the PDP and APC, watch this space.. May God help us. 5 Likes |

omonnakoda: "Notwithstanding its lead, the APC currently lacks a two-third majority (73), needed for key decisions. The party will count on the PDP as it stands." The quote above is from Premium Times last paragraph of the article below. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/180468-apc-snatches-senate-majority-ends-pdps-16-year-rule.html I believe election of principal officers count as key decisions. 1 Like |

Its a pity that the people saying Bukola is a good choice for the senate president knows little or nothing about him. He was the governor of Kwara for 8 years, he then chose a figurehead governor to rule for 4 years and still kicking for another term. As an indigene of Kwara state, I can't name 7 major achievement of bukola and his figurehead governor. Bukola joining APC was just to get the post he wants and nothing more. Will never support him because 90% of assets in Kwara has been taken by him, uncountable number of hectares, houses, hotels etc 3 Likes |

theSpark:I really do not want to be rude but I think you re being lazy. There is no such thing as "KEY DECISION" in our constitution. To make laws all that is required is a majority . What decision can be more "KEY" than that. this is the same for ministerial appointments. 2/3 only comes into it when the legislature passes a law and the president does not give his consent then they can overrule him if they have 2/3. as far as Senate president i concerned 2/3 comes into it for REMOVAL but not ELECTION Having a 2/3 majority is a major issue if it is a different party from the President's |

APC wants to make lagos more beta place for lagosians but without the federal support, they cant do it alone. So now that they got federal support, lets support them to make lagos a better place. We should not go back to old times in lagos now that we have the chance. Vote Ambode for governor. Vote APC. 2 Likes 1 Share |

In this new era Nigeria where GMB has kept saying that if Nigeria does not kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria, how can Saraki be made senate president with all the numerous looting charges on him. It will completely rubbish the Buhari administration image as corruption fighting if a senate president Saraki emerges. 5 Likes |
