Pointless.

I did my research and that's why you people keep screaming like you are doing right now, but can not prove me wrong

Mine was to prove you wrong that everything I posted are on the mainland and not island like you ignorantly claimed.

If one area is better than the next according to you is your opinion even though it was an ignorant opinion since it doesn't alter the fact that Fashola commissioned projects there as the thread title suggest. Very senseless argument on your part.

Lagos—Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State yesterday debunked claim that the state borrowed money either internationally or locally to finance the construction of houses under the Lagos Home Ownership Mortgage Scheme, Lagos HOMS.

The governor who disclosed this at the 5th raffle of Lagos HOMS held at Agidingbi, Ikeja, said the housing project the state had executed and executing in over 20 construction sites across the state were not financed with loans.
According to him, the housing projects were executed 100 percent by the state government.

His words “we have not borrowed a dime from any bank. So, there is no bank charge on this scheme. It is executed with the tax payers’ money. The state government is not paying interest to any bank because of this scheme.”

The governor who provided an insight into housing projects that are under construction, noted “We have expanded to Ilubirin, Iponri and Akerele Extension among others.

“Working is ongoing 23 additional construction sites. We have equally engaged 193 contractors. Also, about 2,483 persons of diverse qualification have been employed as a result apart from consultants.”[/b]

With your level of ignorance and mental incompetence in this thread, you really need to shut your mouth and sit somewhere.

Wow!
I'm actually stunned! I'd rather be ignorant than speak fool.ishly, I asked a question because I knew nothing "if you call it ignorance" about the pics of the estate you posted. A little "yes it was funded by the government" would have answered my question, but you decided to rant. I think you need help. And about the "Island" "Mainland" thing, I never mentioned that those projects where on the mainland, I simply said the mainland is ugly, which is a fact, I stayed on the mainland in lagos last year and had to run back home after 3 days because of uncomfortable it was and that's why I made that statement. I'm just shocked to see you qouting me out of context, when I mentioned you I thought I was asking someone with brains and understanding a simple question, now I know u're just a kid who wants to prove that your state of origin or most likely state of residence is better.

You can qoute me and rant as you like because of your lack of comprehension and your zeal to prove whatever it is you're trying to prove but I won't be gracing you with a reply.

This is the funniest post in this thread... grin

Must be desperation or frustration due to the fact that you hate to agree with me that beyond the few roads and flyover akpabio deceived Nigerians with, he completed only 3 projects in 8 years and he's still struggling to complete 1 and only hospital he dabbled into since 2007.

Renovations ko, refurbish ni?

To b fair to the ibomites, most of Akpabio's project are road projects, flyovers and Bridges. E- library, Stadium, uncompleted world class Hospital, Cinema. What else? Please feel free to add Like the OP said.He failed in other sectors and failed to touch the other parts of the state apart from Uyo.
The Guy mentioning Four point by Sharaton and Le Meridian did Akpabio build them? They are Hotel groups built by themselves besides Lagos has Four Point by Sharaton and Le Meridian do you see the OP listing it as part of Fashola's achievements?

. Since you opened a thread of this nature I expected you to be intelligent. Estates may or may not be funded by the Government! Most estates are planned and built by estate managers and funding can come from anywhere in form of loans and grants. That the Governor commissioned the estate doesn't neccessarily mean it was funded by the Government, it could have been a financial institution I.e A commercial bank, Mortgage bank, even individuals sponsor estate building.

It's very hard to capture everything, I just with I have access to his project commissioning day planner to figure out exactly how many projects he actually commissioned.

With hundreds of yet to be commissioned projects going on all over the state, I see Ambode commissioning projects left and right till 2019.

I think by know we all got the gist.

The fact that Gov. Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos state delivered on behalf of the people of Lagos more than any government in the History of Nigeria is indisputable, but this thread is not only a labor of Love even though placing a grossly unproductive Akpabio next to Fashola sounds like a disservice to Fashola, but it's also a necessary need to draw this sharp contract and silence the lies and deception about Akpabio as a productive and accomplished governor when in fact it's the other way around.

1. Akabio with just 5 million people posts the largest budgets in Nigeria, but apart from the few roads and flyover bridge, he completed only 3 projects. 1 library, 1 unused and redundant waste/football field and 1 cinema .. in fact it's just 2 because the cinema is part of the Tropicana and the tropicana is no where near completion..

2. The one and only hospital he dabbled into since 2007 is still uncompleted.

3. With the largest budgets in Nigeria, he has no visionary projects and in fact, apart from the few roads and flyover bridge, he has less than 10 projects under construction and they are all uncompleted while Fashola with smaller budget and 20 million people delivered hundreds of projects and hundreds still under construction across the state.

1. convention center = Uncompleted

2. 1 and only hospital = Uncompleted

3. Tropicana = Uncompleted

A with so much money with very little population should have the grandest, visionary and many daring projects in Nigeria, but he has less than 10 non road projects.

What a waste and disappointment..

Now lets move on to Government programs and initiatives in Lagos state.

Government programs and initiatives not only highlights the government's vision, but also the leader's level of sophistication, his bold ideas and where they he sees his state in this global environment.
