Pinnick In Talks With Wenger Over Osimhen's Arsenal Move

President of the Nigerian Football Federation NFF, Amaju Pinnick, has started negotiations with English Premier League club Arsenal over the signing of Victor Osimhen, that's according to a llnigeriasoccer.com.

As many as nine different agents have made contact with representatives of the Golden Boot winner of the 2015 Fifa Under 17 World Cup as regards to a transfer to the Emirates.

But Pinnick and his camp are in the driving seat as the NFF supremo is well connected within the corridors of power at the Gunners.

Indeed, the former Chairman of Delta State Football Association has opened a line of communication with his good pal and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, instructing him that he should convince the club to acquire Osimhen.

But it is not done and dusted that the 16 - year - old will be heading to Arsenal as Stellar Football Ltd, who represent ex Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale, are already in Nigeria for talks with Ultimate Strikers.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool are among the European powerhouses monitoring the transfer situation of Victor Osimhen with keen interest.

I guess the NFF President means well for him. You know that E Pinnic on resumption as the NFF President, started his official duties by creating rapport with the English Managers, whom Arsen Wenger is among. Just pray something good comes out.

Actually it is a good thing, he should make sure every player leaving Nigeria get's the best deal. I am pretty sure the rules don't allow him to collect any cut because his problem would be with FIFA then. Lets cut these guys some slack they are not doing so bad, if it wasn't for Pinnick's boldness we would have fired Amunike and who knows what we would be talking about now, certainly not players going anywhere because players on losing teams don't get picked up.

Amuneke wants N1.1bn for Nwakali, Chukwueze

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Golden Eaglets coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, could strike it rich if Nigeria Under 17 internationals Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze are sold to a European club in the near future, as he has demanded a cumulative transfer fee of 5.3 million euros (about N1.1billion) for both players.

It has been revealed that Kelechi Nwakali’s economic and sporting rights are owned by Diamond Academy, Umuahia and ASJ Academy Owerri in the ratio 70 : 30 but both teams are only acting as proxies on Amuneke’s behalf.

If the corporate veil of Diamond Academy is pierced, a certain Tony Adele, who works hand-in-hand with Amuneke, runs the grassroots club in partnership with Frankie Stephen, better known as the United Kingdom – based intermediary of Flying Eagles winger Bernard Bulbwa.

As for ASJ Academy, the club is owned by Amuneke’s family and the former Barcelona midfielder is represented there by Emeka. They own 30 per cent of the sporting rights of Kelechi Nwakali.

The ex-Zamalek star only wants to divert attention following the dispute in the sale of Chidiebere Nwakali and Bernard Bulbwa to Manchester City and Esperance respectively.

The Nigeria Under-17s manager has told teams interested in Nwakali to cough up 3.5 million euros to sign the player, while he will not accept an offer less than 1.8 million euros for Samuel Chukwueze and the agency commission he is expected to receive for the sale of both players is 700,000 euros.

Amuneke has demanded that the European clubs that finally snap up the players must sign a partnership agreement with his Academy, stipulating that two players from his academy must go on trial with the buying club every year, accompanied by the coach.

Why won't it affect their transfers negatively when he places such huge amounts? I expect any agents of these young lads to be more interested in nurturing and building their players career than what would be their immediate gains.

Don't you think that is one of the reasons why some of these foreign Clubs who were interested in these lads are withdrawing their interest gradually

[b]AS ROMA SADIQ UMAR TO LEAD NEW FLYING EAGLES

AS Roma 18 year old forward Sadiq Umar will headline the list of foreign based players invited to the Nigeria Under-20 team ahead of the qualifying series for 2017 Africa Youth Championship in Zambia.

Umar who made his debut last week for AS Roma in the Serie A has so far scored 13 goals with the B team of AS Roma and will be included in the list alongside his teammate Nura Abdullahi the right full back who is on the radar of Spanish giants Barcelona.

The foreign based players Mowizsoccer gathered will all be in camp next year as Coach Manu Garba draws up plans ahead of the qualifying series where he is also expected to include some members of the victorious Nigeria Under-17 of 2015.

Zambia will host the 2017 Africa Under-20 championship where Nigeria will be hoping to defend their 2015 crown won in Senegal.

Manu Garba who came under pressure following his team poor showing at the last World Youth Championship in New Zealand is yet to decide if some players still within the age limit from his former U-20 and 17 team will be included in the team.

However speculations still remains that Zahradeen Bello who was at the last U-20 championship and presently with the Nigeria Under-23 team ahead of the Olympic qualifiers will captain the team.

What do u consider as huge sum? Are you saying Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze are not what the price tags? Besides, it is called transfer MARKET. There is room for bargaining and negotiations.

The past, in Manu's case at NZ (unless we use a time machine and......**winks**), can't be changed but the future can be controlled by what we do today. *smiles*

Have you not been following all the while when I was clamouring for Manu's re-appointment or retention as U-20 coach? With Amunike and his crew for U-17s??

I even suggested a "rotation" policy for Manu and his crew AND Amunike and his crew every 2-3 yrs.

All this I stood by despite the Truth of Manu's big mistake at NZ 2015 (and he really messed up then #fact). I know where to draw the line between "lashing people" and "acknowledging their potentials/skills".

Thanks Goodness the NFF did the right thing because I know Manu has learnt and don't want to be labelled a coach who self-destructed. He's back to set things right and give his best as he always does.

Meanwhile, in the plans of the NFF, Amunike leads the U-17s with his crew (Kabiru Baleria, Emeka Amadi, etc) but also plays an intermediary sub-role as Asst.Coach for the Nigerian U-20s with Manu Garba as Head Coach.

I believe the likes of Nduka Ugbade, Fancy Ewulu (Gk trainer at Ayc 2015 and NZ 2015) will make up Manu's substantive U-20 coaching crew. Amunike is U-17 head coach alright but will play a sub-role as an extra hand in the U-20s crew as Asst. Coach also.

Musa Mohammed
Akinjide Idowu
Ifeanyi Mathew

Then I am nt sure Dele Alampasu is eligible.

This reminds me of the Class of 1989 which was comprised of the 1985 and 87 U17. We moved on from the 1987 U20 disastrous outing and with some of the 1987 Flying Eagles repeating class to join forces with the 1987 Eaglets. What we got was a very skillful, talented and matured 1989 Flying Eagles that finished second at the WYC.

If the coaches select the best players that are eligible which are mostly the players we jst listed then I THINK THIS IS OUR TIME TO WIN THAT TROPHY.

Only players born on or after 1st January 1997 can play in the next U20 . I have just re-checked birth date and eligibility of some of the last U20. Only the following 4 players are eligible:

Ifeanyi Mathew: 20th January 1997
Chidera Ezeh: 2nd October 1997
Taiwo Awoniyi: 12th August 1997
Zaharadeen Bello: 17th December 1997.

To my disappointment Musa Yahaya was born on 16th December 1996. sad
Just like : Wilfred Ndidi: 16th December 1996 sad
Chidiebere Nwakali 26th December 1996 sad
Dele Alampasu : 24th Decemeber 1996 sad

Well, the four eligible are impact palyers and will add great value to the team.
This will give more room for the Amuneke boys.

I suspected Musa Mohammed won't make it for the next U-20s. (Thanks for making out time to check their Birth dates Sir Icon4s, much appreciation from here *smiles*).
John Lazarus will make Manu very happy because he's the kind of right back Manu works with (akin to Musa Mohammed).
I believe Manu will brush him up more on his defensive game though he showed solidity in this area in the final against the Malians.

It's gonna be a "wonderful" U-20 squad no doubt. And like you said, this may bring back memories of the 1989 U-20 Squad only that this time, I pray we win it...... And I believe we can.

Musa mohammed, Musa Yahaya, Chidiebere Nwakali, Akinjide Idowu, and Dele Alampasu(already with the Super Eagles) are U-23 materials. They are among the players waiting in the wings to compete for places should we qualify for Rio 2016 (which will happen...... Hopefully).

I expect Joshua Enaholo (gk at NZ 2015 fifa u-20 WC) to make the CHAN Eagles (behind Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Femi Thomas) and be considered for "keen" competition of gk places for Rio 2016 alongside Emmanuel Daniel, Yusuf Mohammed, Emmanuel Iwu, and Dele Alampasu.

P.S: Just recently, I had the opportunity to download the "miracle of Damman" video to my gadget. Mehn!!!! that '89 class na Fire!!!! See shots and freekicks flying all over the place.... I last saw the team on some clips as a boy on weekend football shows. But a few years on, I really appreciate the young talents of Christopher Ohenhen, Mutiu Adepoju and co.

I saw the 1985 and 1987 U-20 sets on video clips through video playback casettes my dad had and on weekend shows BUT somehow, I always saw "little" of the "1989" set.

*smiles* The land of Jumong must feel similar and in fact, higher fire!!!!

Icon4s:

I have just re-checked birth date and eligibility of some of the last U20. Only players born on or after 1st January 1997 can play in the next U20. With that only the following 4 players are eligible:

Ifeanyi Mathew: 20th January 1997
Chidera Ezeh: 2nd October 1997
Taiwo Awoniyi: 12th August 1997
Zaharadeen Bello: 17th December 1997.

To my disappointment Musa Yahaya was born on 16th December 1996. sad

Well, those four are impact palyers and will add great value to the team.

Hehehehehe..... Sir Icon4s, thanks once again for your updates on the eligibility of our boys for South Korea 2017.

But, you can now REMOVE MUSA YAHAYA FROM YOUR LIST OF "INELIGIBLES".

His birth date is December 16 1997. Besides, think about it...... Why do you think he's yet to sign a pro-deal? 1st reason is this: he's not 18 yet. *smiles*

He'll clock 18 by 16th of next month, then he'll be ripe to sign a pro-deal and likely will go to Celta de vigo in Spain (on loan I think or on permanent sale from Tottenham). Unless, another offer pops up for him.

In conclusion, MUSA YAHAYA IS "INDEED" ELIGIBLE.

WIKIPEDIA GOT IT WRONG. *smiles*

This will give more room for the Amuneke boys.

What do u consider as huge sum? Are you saying Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze are not what the price tags? Besides, it is called transfer MARKET. There is room for bargaining and negotiations.

Remember, there are ready made midfielders with Club experiences that will go for that amount. I think the vision and business brilliance of Coach Amunike and his crew is okay but I think the price should come down.

Smh i said the same thing and u basically told me to shut it. The way i see it Amunike won the world cup and demanded Manu be retained. Why else would he also be an assistant? I expect a smoother ride this time and i predict we make the last 4.

I think Coach Manu Garba also missed the technical input of Coach Amunike. I am not saying Coach Amunike is better or Vice Versa. I just feel, just as Coach Keshi lost Coach Okpala, the effect, could affect the way they worked.

I think both Coaches (Garba and Amunike) realised that the U20 WYC is a difficult championship and they want to work with the team the way they did in the U17 World Cup they won together.

Also, Coach Amunike put the team together and he has more insight into the Present U17 Champions and will help Coach Manu Garba quickly access the team.

I am expecting the next U17 and U20 World Cup to be a blast. Maybe as TheSuperNerd said, "The Next Golden Generation is here."

Just like the last U17 World Cup, I am supporting this team all the way and I want them to deliver the title this time.

Wikipedia has a wrong age for d boy then.

Infact the thought of Musa Yahaya nt beinh eligible almost spoilt my day. Thank God we know he is eligible now.I was confused bc we know he was supposed to sign d Spurs contract when he turns 18. Hey! so Imagine Yahaya, Chukwueze, Mathew playing beyind Awoniyi and Osimhen in dat team. And K. Nwakali bossing things from d middle of d field. Hahaha, we are waiting. But Matthew plays in like position with K Nwakali.

My coaching support most times has to do with the management than who is playing. I became a Cityzen after the City management announced Mancini as the coach. There were no Silva, Yaya, Dzeko, Joe Hart was not in the team, Zabaletta was not a regular, Kompany was not captain, No Aguero.

My faith was strictly on the management and I decamped from Man Utd who were the champions and on top of the EPL table.

Just like I had faith in Ranieri doing a good job at Leicester City. I was disgusted with Abramovic sacking him at Chelsea for Mourinho. I followed him closely from Valencia to Juve, to Roma. Despite Leicester being a small club, Ranieri propelled them to great heights. Although he beat my expectation.

The talents available for the next WYC for the Flying Eagles is massive. But, I believe the Coaching combo of Coach Manu Garba, Coach Amunike and Coach Ugbade is top notch.

I will see anything less than the title as a failure.

Fly Eagles Fly.

Ur expectations are unrealistic, u don't even know who we are playing and u are ready to say they would be failures if they don't win. Football does not work like that, even Germany were not unanimously predicted champions and the Netherlands were not failures for coming 3rd.
