U have a point too but these above phones were/are not launched in Nigeria....Thus, the unavailability of their spare part too is discouraging. I too would have loved to get the Xiaomi redmi note 2/3 but the recent hike/restrictions on dollar are making it hard

Not a problem when you buy from us. We render after sales service.

We've got you covered.

I know this thread is full of gionee lovers, or probably everyone here is a promoter or agent, but I will answer ur question andbget our if here.

First of all, gionee s plus (267 ppi) and gionee m5 (267 ppi) are not sold for 30k. Their price is between 43k and 48k depending on where u buy it. For a 720p display Chinese phone that is too expensive. I will give u a few phones withing that price range and some even have 3gb of ram and 1080p display.

1. Xiaomi redmi note 2 (403 ppi)
2. Lenovo k3 note (401 ppi)
3. elephone p8000 (401 ppi, 3gb ram)

These are just a few. U see gionee are ripping u off releasing a 720p phone in November 2015 and selling for close to 50k when there are better displays with same price range.
I think all the phones listed above won't stop me from buying s+ not until I Google them one by one. xiaomi may have captured my eyes but I found this negative user opinion about it : m in Indonesia. I got my redmi note 2 prime 1 week ago,
chinese version with sd card slot. Bought it on local shop
here for IDR 2.300.000 (+/- 170 in USD)
The phone preinstalled with chinese custom rom to make
'bahasa indonesia' available. There were also so many
applications that would drains the internet connection,
synchronizing every couple of minutes, in short : disturbing.
Did not came with google services. It took only a few hours
of normal usage to drain the battery empty.
All i did was opening mi official website, i found how to
manually change the rom to the latest global rom 7.012.00.
Download the zip files (1GB) Follow the steps mentioned on
website, it wasnt complicated. Then all my complains above
is gone away.. It is AWESOME! It comes with pre installed
google service. Everything runs exactly as i expected. No
unwanted preinstalled app, etc..
I assure you, the phone is very very good! No battery issue.
HD screen, no heating.. All you need to do is just make sure
that you are running on the latest global rom available from
their official website.
Overall this is one good phone. For those who have probs
with overheating and battery, you can upgrade to miui7, that
should solve the problem.
For me the cons is on the RAM, you lose practically 1gb due
to background apps. And graphic hardware accelerator is
not up the mark. It mainly uses software accelerator, which
work perfect.
You can buy this phone straight from its web.
Oh please this phone battery runs out on its own while idle
Keep Internet connected and not touch it all day u would
have a heated fone with. Low ba3
fantastic2m, 24 Dec 2015
have to compare to lenovo K3-50.
How do you underclock it
How could u say your asus laser is working well, if you see
it's battery part it is drained much and heating issue lot.
Anonymous, 14 Dec 2015
You can't be serious abt battery life
reeshu, 18 Dec 2015
Did you say no heating?
Use a dark theme
Reduce screen brightness
Reduce screen idle delay
U could also underclock your CPU
im just used this phone about 4days. on 2nd day, it
restarted itself. and it happen everyday. idk why, help
please.

Lol, guy chill. I don't beef phones, just stating facts. Life is too short than get stuck to a single OEM. I have used different phones, I have a galaxy s6 as my main phone, then LG g3 and htc one m7 as secondary phones.

Now about gionee m5 plus, as if u can just walk into any store and buy it at the moment. That phone was launched about 2 weeks ago, not yet launched in Nigeria and I don't think there's anywhere u can buy it from except if u ship it in. I can tell u with the current exchange rate, u will spend close to 80k to ship that phone in. That is more than enough to get a phantom 5 which is equally a good phone (if not better) IMHO. Also there are lots of 1080p phones out there that are below 60k. The point is gionee phones are good, but too expensive compared to the market. Imagine gionee m5 with 720p display for 45k. Wtf? I for kukuma add 10k buy htc desire 820.
