In life your are responsible for your thoughts and actions. Youths should have their own thoughts because they are the future their parents will not witness. A civilized society will embrace freedom of thoughts for youth and not impose any belief on them. I lived on my own since I was 17,I see no reason why others youths can't.

My nephew is 18 years of age and working. He is already an estate agent and doing fine. Perhaps the Nigerian mentality is holding youths back you should say. I know youths in Nigeria over rely on their parents for finance,accommodation etc. That's why their parent feel they ought to be responsible for their beliefs too. I left home early,bought my first car at 19,pretty normal to me.
