Dude, shit happens! Even the mst gentle guy can be turned to a demon overnight by a woman's tongue! That's how they are made. In our bid to control our outburst or anger, we lose it, and it's us being human. Don't beat yourself over it, she won't leave you!

Please ignore those saying you should buy this or that for her. Do not set a precedent that will be a problem later. If you make it seem like she will receive gifts anytime you wrong her then it will be the case everytime. I suggest you win her back with a good attitude and later reinforce with a gift or an outing but make sure the good attitude is what she forgives and accepts you for. Don't make her materialistic by using gifts to bribe her. A smart woman will even take ur gift and still squeeze her face till you show her love from within. Lol

Op, I understand you. But I do not understand the issue of space. In marriage men appreciate reasonable thinking and respect a lot as much as women appreciate love and care. There can be arguments but must be an healthy one, both parties should learn to keep quiet at crucial times and think instead of ranting. In this case both you and your wife are to share the blame of the event. When there are arguments, if the wife think of submissiveness and reverence while the man thinks of understanding, it will never result to this. I am not in support of you buying her gifts to calm her and she should forget that space thing though both of you need it to review your actions and be remorseful. Just talk to her. Afterwards if she keeps using it to react to you going forward then she has never been your wife.

I can see you are good man and husband that I why you hate yourself so much for this but both of you just have to let go and focus on building a more focused marital life.

This has happened to me once too and was so bitter with myself after which my wife said somethings and I countered it immediately as well to erase such from her mind with points. I thank God because she is my wife and she is learning. Its not that she does not behave in a way that requires slap at times but I have resolve to always stand on my ground with on point line of argument.

Once you understand that no matter how you love and care for a woman she will still get on your nerves the better you will learn to always drop your fist and turn a teacher instead.

Note that most women think after talking or not think at all. Get understanding as it is your duty now to always make your arguments an healthy one by making sure that you silent all forms if noise in your communication.

BTW, a man CAN NEVER have tge last word in an argument with a woman, men are not wired for that, ,, it's called bitching.
Every couple is unique,,, what works for one couple in conflict resolution may not necessarily work for the other, the onus is both parties to find out what works for them.
And lastly, women are the weaker sex and should be submissive to their husbands,,, men ought to love and protect their wives, ,,,,,
