does it have a wireless card in it? if yes is it switched on? if yes have you checked the device manager to make sure the correct driver is installed? if yes then find the driver from the manufacturers site and download it the uninstall the previous driver and replace it with the new one.

Bluetooth Disapears

Hello nairalanders, I nid help with my new HP630 laptop. It's 2 month's old and evrything ws working fine till recently that my bluetooth icon disapeared. And since then, it refused to recievd files via bluetooth.

Pls what can I do?

Goto Dell's Website and enter the service tag found at the back of ur pc and download the specified drivers.

Is this bluetooth plug in or built into the laptop ?
how did you installed the bluetooth device ?
click start and look for run and type in devmgmt.msc
press enter and can you see bluetooth or yellow exclamation mark

visit the hp website to download drivers for your specified machine

What is the configuration of the computer? ie How many Gb RAM and hard drive space does it have?

You need to get a bootable windows 7 disc to do a re install.

Sincerely, i would have agreed to scanning and checking for viruses! but the truth is that sometimes it helps not always dependable on this issue, cuz in the process of removing virus, u lose some files with it.

So i will suggest u scan for virus and repair your operating system afterwards.

or better still (with high recommendation) format your system. with this you are sure no file is missing and ur OS is as good as new!

buy 1gb of RAM and add it to your computer. Make sure you buy the RAM type that came with your computer initially.

bios update. At the back of th pc what's the make and model number. for example
compaq SR510 windows XP. when you have identify the model visit compaq website for

@Omega25, I bought a brand new ba3 for my hp presario just 36 days ago and my system is now showing 'battery not charging.' I have tried removing and re-inserting the ba3 yet it kept showing 'ba3 not charging.' what should i do to address this problem?

Please follow this rules. Always check the back of your laptop for full model number
and complete your spelling so is not misleading. this are some of the reason I or other
technician would ignore your post. Just to let you know that's all.

for example hp pavilion dv2000 windows xp or Acer 6920 windows vista

.check to makes sure wifi switch on
.click start and type device manager
.click it and conitnue
.look for network adaptor
.any yellow signs in device manager
.is your wifi switch orange or blue
.if orange then something is wrong
.should be blue on hp compaq
