Its a bit crude but...
Remove the key board, clean the connecting interface on the flex and the clip, use a light item to strongly tap the J key and environs while holding the keyboard in a vertical position. This is to expel any fragments of foreingn materials which could've found their way under the keys thereby causing permanent depressing...

I have never experienced it "not working". Except if the systems processor doesn't support the 64bit architecture.

Thanks, my laptop actually came with Windows 7ultimate 64 bit but the computer engineer who went with me to buy it, downgraded it to Win 7 pro 32 bit. When i ask him why the downgrade, he said it was the best. Being a novice i didn't argue with him. Please would you recommend i upgrade it to 64 bit and what are the major advantage of the 64 bit architecture? Thanks again

Why exactly do you want to use a 64 bit? What do you use the system for? 64 bit enables you to maximise the functionalities of the pc.

I use my laptop mostly for surfing the web and watching movies (until the speaker got burnt recently). I play games too but not regularly, while my lil brother use it for his graphic design work most times too. I have been hearing alot about the 64 bit architecture recently so it got me curious, i was beginning to wonder if i made a mistake allowing the engineer to downgrade my system from Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit to Win 7 Pro 32 bit. Like i said before, am a total novice in computer applications, just an addicted web surfer. This is why i need your expert advice on this matter, thanks.

If you've not gotten any software pressing you for 64bit requirements then feel good with 32 bit till then.

To install a 64-bit version of Windows 7, you need a CPU that's capable of running a 64-bit version of Windows. The benefits of using a 64-bit operating system are most apparent when you have a large amount of random access memory (RAM) installed on your computer, typically 4 GB of RAM or more. In such cases, because a 64-bit operating system can handle large amounts of memory more efficiently than a 32-bit operating system, a 64-bit system can be more responsive when running several programs at the same time and switching between them frequently
