Can someone help me how to validate my system window?
After formatting the system which was done by friend, the operating system loaded on it is window7 ultimate and it is working fine for me
suddenly, this afternoon , the system started malfunction . the error message flagged was "Window 7 build 7601, the copy of this window is not genuine one" any useful assistance on this issue or link to resolve the problem would be appreciated.
Thanking you in anticipation

You really shouldn't be concerned with best brand rather value for money at whatever price segment you want to choose.

Laptop: Hp Pavilion tx2000.

Problem: Certain times when I want to put the laptop on, it comes on but won't boot. Only the blue lights show and the screen remains black. When I researched the net for a solution, I found out I can make it boot by heating up certain parts of the laptop with a blow dryer or something related. But it's only temporary, when next it happens, I have to repeat the same step. I think it's a hardware problem, just not sure what exactly.

Does anyone know of a permanent solution to this?

Thanks.

The heat sink and thermal paste need servicing. Can you do it yourself? It is not too hard.

What happens when you double click the files?
am so sorry for replying you this late. anytime I insert video disks, it'll open with 5 different folders, if I double-clicked 1, it will take me to another folders, and if I clicked on any of the folders, it will open with an unrecognized files. if I opened any of the files with either vlc or media player, it will bring "the file is either corrupt or the player does not support the format you are trying to open"

I forgot that this is that swivel head laptop. Self repair for this has to be done carefully.

Follow instructions here:

www.insidemylaptop.com/disassemble-hp-pavilion-tx2000-tablet-pc/

to open up the laptop.

Then watch this video on servicing the heatsink/fan:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCmwXqhFI_4

If you can't get thermal paste, just service the heatsink for now until you can get some. And don't brush the motherboard use the blow dryer set on cool temp.

Hmm, that's an odd one. I don't know but it looks like virus infection. Does it happen with videos on USB flash drives?

It is possible that the disk cable might be loose, check it. If it is not loose go into the bios and look for any settings concerning the disk you should see smart test. Run the test to verify if your disk has a fault.

as for me I use avast, not trial version. And I prefer it because it not heavy and it easy to updates. There updates are available and reliable.

OK but if you do tell him to follow the advice in the video about the little copper pieces they are for better heat transfer so your system will stop blacking out.

I'll make sure I download the video, thanks, I appreciate.

Also, the graphics card of my laptop, which is Nvidia Geoforce Go 6150, doesn't serve all my needs. I enquired if it can be changed, the guy said yes but not all are compatible and I can end up doing damage to the motherboard. Is this true? Do you know any graphics card which is compatible with this laptop for sure? If yes, is it advisable?

It is possible but not advisable. Few people have the expertise and knowledge.
