How do I calculate my cycle length, In August AF was on the 29th, while September it was on 30th, this month I have not seen AF
And when is it likely I ovulate, I downloaded 3 period and ovulation calculator but i think am not getting the right results due to my inability to correctly calculate my cycle length. Thanks

Good day wonderful people, I'm new here and I'd like to commend the togetherness in this big family as a matter of fact that's why I joined cos it's easier talking to people who understand exactly what it feels like to be ttc.

I'v been married for almost 4years and it's been a long rough road. I'v done everything in the book, clomid, femera, injectables and 2 IVF's and sadly nothing has worked! I got pregnant in the 2nd year of my marriage in the month we didn't even think it could happen cos we dtd just twice but sadly my joy ended before it could even start cos I found out at my 7week scan that it was a blighted ovum. It's been 1 year and 6 weeks since my miscarriage and nothing else. My RE has asked for a hormonal assay, HSG and sperm test so I'm just waiting for my AF so I get things moving.

So yes, that's a little background on me. I pray we all pull through this phase and God shines His face on us all quickly.

@fehintywealth, the day your period starts is your cycle Day 1 and you keep counting until the last day of your period. So if your af starts on 3rd oct, dat day is your CD1 and if it stops on 28 0ct then you have a a 25 day cycle, sorry am not a good teacher, someone might come wit a better explanation
@prettyspicey, I heard of evergreen but never used them, however fertiliaid has worked for a lot of people I know but I heard it work best for people with irregular period.
@twingirls, in my opinion I think using fertilcm, grape and robbitisun all at once is too much but I guess u can use them separately with clomid, whats the garlic for?

I just learnt from my gyno that the mg of clomid is given according to your weight.those weighing 60kg and above cannot use 50mg.just heard this yesterday.if your weight is above 60kg,you start with 100mg.just hope this will help

@twintower, your doctor is really funny, clomid is not a malaria drug or worm medicine that is administered according to weight, initial strt is usually 50mg and if your body doesn't respond then you can up your doses progressively cos its side effect is for real, and for me I would advise that anybody that has a family history of diabetes shouldn't use clomid except the person has pcos already cos clomid cn trigger pcos same way too much carb and sugar can trigger diabetes. Dts why clomid is a perscription pill meaning ur doctor must hve ran some test on you to determine if u are a candidate for clomid.

@All....Being Hopeful and going about it the right way is the way to go. Always follow your doctors advice and seek second opinion from a specialist. A woman needs to understand her body...only then can you work along with it to achieve pregnancy.

Still awaiting @mummyosayande's grand entrance. @testimonylife congrats and happy bumping. @PrettySpicey they're both good drugs though fertilaid is costlier. If you dh has any issue, I'd prefer fertilaid. From experience and reviews, but for women, it depends on ur body. I've read much that if your cycle is regular, there's no need for fertilaid as it can make it longer. Its upto you. @fehintywealth no need for shame. If you can lay your hand on a book: LOVE AND LIFE- Billings method of family planning, it will aid you understand your cycle. But then, length of your cycle is calculated from the first day you see blood(af), call it cycle day one (cd1) keep counting till the next day the new one starts. that's end of ur cycle and another cd1, so its counted twice. Like cd28 if it ends on the 28th day and cd1 for the next cycle. Take it for like 3 or four months, add the number of days together and divide by 3 if you're using 3 months or 4 if you're using 4 months. That's your average cycle length. eg. 32+30+29+30 divided by 4, the cycle length is 30days. Ovulation will always be about 14-16 days before your next cycle, so once you know your cycle length its easier to calculate when u're likely to ovulate. Also, once you know ur ovulation day, you can predict your next period as the days from ovulation to next af is fairly constant for anyone. But urs could be 15, 14 or 16.
