Armies should be in the barracks

True. You don't unleash the military on your citizens.

Yet I'll rather wait and hear the full report before concluding.

I know how crowd mentality can make people violent.

The problem with your whole lot is this: lies will perish and Truth will forever reign supreme. People are holding "Biafran" flag chanting war songs and abusive songs and you call that peaceful? Ojukwu that claimed Muslims were out to kill them and got World council of churches to assist them still failed and allowed his people to be massacred and at the end ran away, stop all the nonsense, your leaders that is no longer benefitting from stolen money from GEJ are pushing you all into this nonsense telling you the North hates you and is marginalizing you instead of you to ask them what they have done for you individually, you are misbehaving and calling others your enemies. Use your brain, we all need to come together and fight the real enemy which is CORRUPTION, period.

That was how Ojukwu boasted and at the end ran away, nonsense, keep hating muslims and keep thinking that is your problem, when your leaders are stealing you blind, most of the functioning road in eastern nigeria are the ones built by Buhari's PTF... your leaders that is not getting $$ from GEJ anymore is pushing you guys to believe PMB and muslims are your problem, pray and pray till 2019, truth will always triumph over falsehood.

Constitutionally, the police force is supposed to handle situations like this.

But if the police force is weak and in unreliable as the case may be here, then, the military will have to step in to protect lives of innocent citizens.

I don't know who started the violence so I can't judge in that respect.

But for a crowd whose hatred for the Nigerian state is very evident in their utterances and actions, I think military precaution might not be overkill.

My dear I'm not biased.

For all we know, the crowd went into a violent fit and the authorities tried to quell it.

You may not know, but two years ago, these same group of people were throwing policemen off the bridge and burning dangote trucks and mosque during their solidarity march for their imprisoned leader.

So, no. We can't trust them to have a peaceful march.

The police here can be trigger happy though, so, if they were the first to pull the trigger, then they, whoever they are should be sanctioned. QED.

The Federal Government has breached the constitution, you and I are on agreement base on that.
The police and the armies are trained and equipped for different functions.

How then can you say the police force are weak when even the FG acknowledged them Why not scrap them if they can no longer perform their duty

I think the summary of our discussion should be that the administration of PMB is autocratic in a Democratic setting angry

Can you back your assertion with evidence? Available data suggests otherwise. The issue of which tribe goes to school more than the other has been trashed ye without number on Nairaland here for more than a decade now.

Your assertion is based on ignorance and is at variance with available data and evidence.

I await your presentation of evidence and then I'll signpost you to contrary evidence.

Oh I just saw this. What evidence are you waiting for from me?

You want me to dig out WAEC reports or what?

My assertion is based on empirical evidence we all can see.

I mean, take a good look around you and tell me educated people are part of the motley crowd pictured up there, marching in solidarity for the president of another country in another continent who most likely doesn't give a flying fvck about you except to deport y'all from his country.
