Afonjas are the worst double tongue souls on earth

Whenever crisis brews in the North, they are the first to remind us that we will have the most victims

They remind us everyday that our land is erosion prone that is why we migrate

Now that Sanusi has praised the Southerners, they immediately changed their mouths

When will Afonjas ever be stable in life

Aribisala0
So that is praise to you.? You have no sense. I have not seen the data to back the Emir s claim One thing I know from personal experience is that Hausa speaking people are very good mechanics for trucks and many of those I know can't even speak English go to Kara in Sagamu and see for yourself When it comes to fabrication of local machines s I know Oyo is good at that.
People should not be fooled by such flattery,we heard the same thing about lawyers and judges in the 70s and 80s and for more than 30 years there was no Chief Justice from the South. So when the Emir says this let us ask what he is saying is it
Tailors
Plumbers
Bricklayers
Vulcanuzers
Painters
Mechanics
Or what exactly.
Such so called praise would appeal to the egotistic nature of Eboes
I see it completely different
Eboes are like women they like to be flattered because deep down they are insecure.
Having worked closely with Hausa mechanics I can only read the Emir as wishing for a more dominant position. I think we all should be claiming inferior if that means we get more through federal character.
The main difference I would agree to is that women tend not to learn trades but in the South even with that there is still room for improvement.
Are we to believe there are no electricians, painters, bricklayers and so on. Only a pompous fool will believe such nonsense just like people believed there were no lawyers in the north

Abeg help me drum am into his ears. The fact remains that trading is their preferred vocation, and that includes even their educated class -- the vast majority of their youth, no matter how educated, still end up setting up a shop where he imports something to trade/buy and sell, and when this fails na to try their luck with drug-trafficking.

Even at the popular Ladipo spare parts market, they majorly trade in spare parts, while the Yorubas constitute the bulk of the mechanics, rewire specialists, a/c technicians and the likes. But you will never hear them acknowledge this much. They think everyone must become a trader in order to be considered 'industrious/hardworking'. #Fact.

They love trading so much even their Senators are involved in importing rice. No creativity beyond buying and selling
Many just use the trading as front for their real business which is drugs

For somebody like me that have studied the Igbos very well, I am not surprised that the OP immediately assumed Sanusi was talking about them as the only aim they have is to dominate the south. The hatred they have for the Yorubas is simply because they always put them in check so that they can not openly display their Igbo supremacy mentality.

I don't blame him though but the mod that put this on front page.

He forgot they are not talking about spare part sellers here.

Why all these tribalism and hatred for each other??

Now, this is the kind of lies and misinformation that should not be allowed to see the light of day.

You are condemning everything about GEJ's initiative in the provision of schools to some children in the North but you carefully did not mention the Governors in charge of those areas.

First, provision of primary & secondary education are the sole responsibility of the State & Local government, nothing concerns FG in that area. Please consult your constitution for more information.

Secondly, Peter Obi made so much investment in Education in Anambra State during his stay as the Executive Governor of Anambra State. Then, the question is what are Northern governors doing with all those huge monthly allocations? Most States in North collect huge allocations way bigger than what Anambra State get, yet they can't make the right investments in their Education. Some months back we all heard of Jigawa State conducting Tendering process for the construction of Mosque in all its LGA, yet people like you will leave this blatant misappropriation of State funds to start blaming GEJ.

GEJ simply showed them an initiative and actively participated in that initiative; what they - the respective governors do with that initiative is left to them.

FG build schools for them and hand it over to them yet you want make FG still manage the school? Na so them dey do for your side? Papa go marry wife for pikin, you still want make Papa come help his pikin do the needful? hmmm

How many primary & secondary schools has/did FG (including GEJ) built in the Southern States? Please enough of this useless pampering.

@poster,

Kindly remove Igbos in your write-ups. Free Igbos from your hate-induced threads.

@Post

Southerner leaders should be on the alert when write-ups like this start coming from the usual quarters.

Sanusi as CBN governor did all CBN's CSR in the North none whatsoever for the SE. He pumped billions of Naira on Universities in Kano, Borno, etc. and none for any university in SE & others.

Sanusi can inspire his Northern people to greatness without putting people from the south in the equation because when an "excuse" (maybe another cartoon in Denmark) occurs there won't be any need for their youth to unleash their anger/hatred on people from the south since their youths will never understand the context Sanusi used in referencing the south in this his write-up.

Go and read my first and second posts on this thread I commended GEJ for the Almajiri schools. You can't jump into the middle of conversation like that. I am not praising the governors claiming they are the best the way you are doing to Peter Obi.

Lol. First of all that statistics is a big lie. Secondly, the reason why Most manufacturing coys are there is because Lagos is the Nigerian commercial and not a typical Yoruba city like Oshogbo. The Nigerian government maintains the only fully functioning seaport there and that is one of the key reasons for the industrial density there.
You and I know that the companies in that Axis are owned by all members of Nigerian tribes tribes not Yoruba alone. I was also disappointed because I knew it wouldn't be easy for him to relinquish the throne and go into mainstream politics. Perhaps he'll perform better sensitizing the already demoralized nothern Nigeria as he's doing right now.

He wanted to lecture at a French university before the entire brouhaha, but this was the only way he could seek refuge from being victimized by PDP stalwarts. Ikeja became Nigeria's foremost manufacturing area after the civil war when Nigeria became highly unitarized. Before then, Ikeja was In the league of manufacturing regions like Kakuri in Kaduna where I was born or Sharada in Kano. So Ikeja did not become great under the control of the political elite of the west.
