Bail conditions were set, and he hasn't met any .
It's fully legal for him to be returned to prison pending his bail conditions are met.

Operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, and men of the Nigerian Prisons Service, DSS, returned the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, back to Kuje Prison after he was granted bail by an Abuja Federal High Court.

The decision shows that until Kanu meets his bail condition, he cannot be set free.

Kanu alongside three other pro-Biafra agitators were whisked away in a green prisons vehicle escorted by four other black hilux vans carrying men of the secret police.

Recall that the Justice Binta Nyako-led Court had earlier granted the IPOB leader bail on health grounds.

In her ruling, the judge had ordered Kanu to provide three sureties one of who must be a serving senator, a jewish religious leader and highly respected person.

She held that they must own property anywhere in Abuja, but put the bail bond at N100 million for each surety.

Justice Nyako also ordered the IPOB leader never to grant any press interview pending the outcome of his trial.

Noting that Kanu should not be in a gathering of more than 10 persons, the judge warned that the bail granted the IPOB leader would be revoked if any of the orders are flouted.

As for the Jewish leader as part of the conditions, it's because he appeared in their robes in court and professed to be Jewish in religion and bloodline .

The said 100 million as stated here is not to be paid by the surety,it is only to be paid by the surety if the accused person jumps bail otherwise the surety will arrested and prosecuted,it seems a lot of persons in this forum do not actually know this

so, what if there's no Jewish person successful enough to have 100million naira as surety?

His bail conditions are the weirdest I've heard, the judge that gave them should be ashamed of herself. The Nigerian judicial system should as well be ashamed on her behalf.

The bail conditions are stiff, N100m x 3, Jewish priest, senator hmmm.

Well this is an opportunity for the IPOBians to show how much they love their director, now that it concerns money.
