Just because some men support indecency doesn't make other men criticising it hypocrites. I am not against you labeling the men supporting it anything you feel like

You brought up another issue all together by including the whole moral argument around sex workers and its place in the society. For example, you kept repeating in your post why those men patronizing sex workers should be condemned with the sex workers because they may be encouraging encouraging them. That is not my bone of contention as i didn't quote you on several ocassions to justify their actions

Lines 4&5: what I find hypocritical is choosing to focus only on criticizing the person who uploads these nudes without acknowledging and equally condemning a society that is obsessed with sex. That's the point! And I'm well within my bounds to find that hypocritical because it is. But this kind of selective judgement comes from individual biases which have to be addressed, in order to deal with the problem of indecency holistically. And honestly.


Lines 6, 7 &8: the moral argument regarding the relevance of prostitution in society is not made in isolation. The only reason it arises is because there is an argument for the justification of rape and adultery, and a claim that men cannot be monogamous. Which then makes the prohibition of prostitutes a tacit endorsement that rape and/or adultery is expected. The law should not shy away from committing to one solution for infidelity. If it doesn't want to acknowledge that men can be unfaithful, then the crime, which people should be incarcerated for, is infidelity (or fornication) itself. It solves the dilemma of choosing between adultery, rape or prostitutes.

Lines 9 & 10: I have not changed the subject. My first post, from the very beginning, addressed the hypocrisy of condemning the person putting up the nude pictures, and not criticizing those who are obsessed with that kind of material. I pointed out the correlation between the demand from a depraved society and the supply by an immoral individual immediately. I even gave the example set by women: they don't endorse this trash online; so it's not perpetuated. You might say they aren't is visual as men but, we are all visual beings in the end. If you do see men taking their clothes off on the internet, it's probably a gay site.

Lines 11 &12: As stated above, the hypocrisy I'm referring to is this selective judgement and criticism exhibited by individuals who choose to only view this from one side of the divide. Yes, there are men who support these immoral acts, and they are the ones who've contributed to the demand for it. They're the ones deserving of an equal dose of 'stick' from anyone who wants to criticize indecency for the purpose of improving society and not just for the so.e purpose of shaming women. It has nothing to do with double standards. At all.

Lines 13 & 14: Of course stopping demand would stop supply. Supply exists because of demand. And supply is not made in a vacuum. If you have ever prepared a business plan, you would know that if you are not addressing a specific need, you've got nothing. On the other hand, if a demand exists, it would inspire supply through whatever means - trade, manufacture or smuggling, and eventually policy change - because demand has to be satisfied. I don't know why you insist that you're ignorant about this basic principle of economics. But in your ignorance, you are entirely at liberty to laugh your balls off over the fact that France has outlawed the patronage of sex workers, because ignorance is bliss and laughter is usually a sign of that.


Lines 15, 16, 17 & 18: I expect the normal laws of economics to take effect. When you say that "this commodity cannot get exhausted", I'm unsure about your meaning. We are talking about sex-for-sale. The market reaction can already be vetted in this recession, where we are constantly reading articles about sex workers slashing their prices because people can no longer afford them. Do you not see how responsive their supply is to the change in demand from their customers? If the trend continuously declines, and no one is able to afford them anymore, they will not start giving it away for free; they would diversify their businesses and discover what other needs can be satisfied in the community. Like hairdressing or something.

A black market is just as likely to spring up from suppressed demand, as it would from suppressed supply. But if culpability rests with the buyer, he is more likely to seek treatment for his unnatural cravings than he would if the seller were held responsible. And if he can suppress those cravings, there would be no market.
