where should it have landed?,on your father's house in johannesburg?.
it crashed probably due to technical issues, strong altitude current,or even flunctuating atmospheric pressure.if the drone was faulty,it wouldnt have flown in the first place.wardrones crash everywhere in the world,we do not have monopoly of crashing drones.

There is nothing jealousy from faulty products. First it was Israel which took you for granted and China followed. You are always taken for a ride and I will advise DENEL to offload all of their faulty products in Nigeria for an easy catch.

but france never thought that it would lose 17 citizens in two days.but interestingly,it isnt only the 17 people killed that is bothering france.it is that the terrorist were able to carry out such a deadly attack, unstopped in paris, the capital of france,in the very heart of a western capital.it was an embarrasment to france, and the whole of the west.till date,no terrorist has dared to hold hostages in abuja or lagos.

That's beecause the people there thought them welds immune to such attacks. Not the government persay but the people. A folloy of many nations who fight wars far from there lands.

yeah, but wait a minute, arent drones different from cars?,i mean, they've got wings, rotors, and a full avionic system, but cars only have an automobile system and four tyres.you know what a car is dont you?,you know that four wheeled transportation vehicle, with black tyres and a bonnet?,and though you might not know what a drone is,i trust you must have watched a small flying robotic device that looks like a mini-jet on an american TV series?.

Effectively, our American friend here is saying that the Nigerian military has no clue what they are doing. And that they need saving.

http://news.yahoo.com/huge-effort-needed-fight-boko-haram-us-commander-000118945.html

Washington (AFP) - Turning the tide against Boko Haram will require a "huge" international effort, a top US military commander warned on Tuesday, taking a swipe at Nigeria's response to the emboldened extremists.

Relations between the Nigerian and US militaries have been strained with Nigeria cancelling training by US advisers of a unit that was supposed to fight the militants, who have captured towns and villages in the country's northeast and vowed to create a hardline Islamic state.

The conflict has left more than 13,000 people dead and one million homeless.

General David Rodriguez, head of US Africa Command, said the Islamists' gains on the battlefield are cause for concern and "the number of people displaced is just staggering."

"I think it's going to take a huge international and multinational effort there to change a trajectory that continues to go in the wrong direction," Rodriguez said at an event organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington think tank.

"The Nigerian leadership and Nigerian military are going to have to really improve their capacities to be able to handle that."

Rodriguez said the Nigerian military's response "was not working very effectively and actually in some places made it worse."

He added: "I hope that they let us help more and more."

Nigeria's ambassador to the United States, Adebowale Ibidapo Adefuye, complained in November that his country is "not satisfied" with US support for the struggle against Boko Haram and that Washington has blocked the sale of some military hardware over human rights concerns.

In a visit Sunday to Lagos, US Secretary of State John Kerry said Washington was "prepared to do more" to help Nigeria counter Boko Haram.

Nigeria has the largest army in west Africa but has come under criticism at home and abroad for failing to stop the advance of Boko Haram.

The United States was working with Nigeria to build a comprehensive strategy "across the board, not just military," that encompassed education, economic development and health care to address the needs of the population in the north, the four-star general said.

Another "big focus" was to bolster the country's intelligence gathering, added Rodriguez.

The American fool should first go and lecture American military that failed in Afghanistan after 11 years war against Taliban, the white-man's super power army has been defeated in Afghanistan, Taliban terrorists still control 50% of the nation and USA is withdrawing it's thosands of troops, thousands of armoured vehicles and hundreds of combat aircraft....Americans you go weep and cry over your own colossal military failure and leave the black people's Naija army alone, we are the pride of the black race worldwide.

Hey, let USA send Yankee white army to come to Nigerian military academy and learn how to recover your army vehicles back from the enemy when you lose them, Taliban rag tag terrorists are driving around Afghanistan in captured Obama Humvee vehicles till today, White House, go to Aso Rock for combat lectures !

One thing in short, you can never claim territory using drones especially the faulty ones. You have been dubbed again with drones that come falling from the sky.

Boko will not worry, they will just leave the drones to drop down by themselves and remove all the weapons and use them against your military. You are being warned!!!!

Mumu, drones crash all over the world, and South Africa too, your government is afraid of drones because they know drones will crash from time to time, drones terrify Southies, so much you are afraid to fly them in your country grin grin

None of those happenings are taking place in the US of A. They are all in foreign lands. Nigeria is failing at home and is letting down the whole of Nigeria. Giving up territory, civilian lives and freedoms.

Have history of state owened defence industry operating hardware in a operational environment. We do
Operate drones in the Kruger park. We do.

SANDF pays DENEL for weapons, you don't get them for free, or else DENEL will go broke and collapse again like it did before and needed government cash donation to revive....DENEL cannot CANNOT afford to give SANDF free weapons, what you don't buy you don't get, what you don't get you don't have.

Me too can say NAF owns AFIT so we will have unlimited number of Amebo drones, NA owns NACE so we have 1 million Igirigi APC anytime we want it. Equation balanced !

And all Denel's profits go to the ministry of defence. The SANDF's budget comes from the ministry.

It's a zero sum.

Educate yourself. Denel is tied to the SANDF, by law. The SANDF is the sole and primary reason for Denel's existence.

South Africans are violent, courageous, bold and vicious in nature. We fear no death and the blood of Shaka Zulu runs into our veins. That's who we are naturally.

That means evil blood flows in veins, Shaka Zulu murdered many innocent South Africans as a sign of mourning his late old aged mother, he insisted other innocent Southies must die just because his old mother died naturally....so he made many other families widows and fatherless ! What a babaric evil nation, no wonder you have the highest murder rate in Africa....inherited Shaka Zulu blood of massacre by shedding innocent blood , demonic South Africa !

Another failure, Kobani!!.

After over 1500 air strikes on the tiny town on the border with turkey, there are still ISIS fighters in the city engaging the YPGg, whether it is outskirts or not, it doesn't matter.

One would have expected the all powerful and stupendous americans to have completely obliterated the enemy a long time ago........ No, No............ 5 months on, they are still fighting in a small town.

you have to quote me if you are talking to me and expecting a reasonable reply.anyway,so far,the nigerian government seem to be keeping the event quiet.something big is going on,but the authorities arent telling.there are two foreign countries actively involved in this boko haram war;the US and france.and there are only three countries capable of purchasing or producing such a sophisticated military hardware in this region, they are;Nigeria,US and france.to purchase such a drone costs over $400 000,an amount which none of our neighbours can risk.i will continue further observation,in order to get an idea of what is going on.

The NAF CH-3 armed drone costs over $1 million and has ISTAR camera/thermal imager/FLIR for target selection before launching guided missile and guided bombs with precision to hit verified and identified target, careful use will not harm civilians.

Nigerian military is the first in Africa to fight war with missile armed drones, we have the most modern military in sub Saharan Africa....JF-17 Thunder jets and Russian jets are also coming this year o !

Beeld reported that former soldiers of the SA Defence Force were part of a multinational team of private military experts on their way to Nigeria.

The Afrikaans daily reported that this was at the request of the Nigerian government, and that the team of about 100 members would train Nigerian soldiers for a massive defence effort.

The first goal of the soldiers, backed by South African expertise, would be to free the remaining Chibok schoolgirls who were kidnapped by Boko Haram last year.

Clayson Monyela, spokesperson for the department of international relations could not be reached for comment.

Denel owns drones doesn't equate to the SANDF fielding them, or been able to afford them.

In the Ukraine, their Defence manufacturers export state of the art IFV, Tanks, LAV's, while Ukrainian troops ride in pick-up trucks and "back yard/amateur welded buses".

Do you know why this happens?........... it is because, just like the SANDF, the Ukrainian government is broke, and cannot afford to properly equip the Ukrainian military.

The Fact a defence company makes something, doesn't equate to your military fielding them.
