Some of his lyrics reminds me of the penury life we lived years back! Today, those lyrics were like a reminder to appreciate God for the seemingly unbelievable transformation in our lives! I am happy for today! I only wish Da Grin could be happier!!!
This is so painful I fruitlessly tried to fight back tears,  He is some good guy, even if he takes 'Sheppe and Poli'.

I trust he has tasted some good life before he passed on. He deserved to be happier, but only God knows best.

arkinses:

What with the volcanic ash lingering over Europe, that  option could have been sought and discarded. But correct me if i'm wrong though, whatever happened to the Lagoon hospital or other private hospitals in Nigeria. Are they not adequately equipped with manpower and resource anymore? They why call them private? The decision of keeping him at LUTH with that hospital's track record of regard for human life is just. . . I don't know!  angry

ElRazur:

@Eldee

I can't tell you how much the thing dey freaking pain me.

The doctors strike may be another contributory factor, but then my logic is telling me shouldn't his management be looking at flying him out of the country. For crying out loud, he was breathing and what not for a week you know. The more I think about it, the more I just wanna blame someone I swear.

Record labels should have insurance to look after their own asset man. Remember when Kanu had the heart problem - same thing that killed Samuel Okpwaraji - Arsenal made sure he had the best treatment and footed all the bills, including his rehabilitation.

If the president can fly out, it is good enough for Da Grin to do the same.

When will our people learn that it ain't all about money, money, money. Omo I am vex man. Last time I felt like this was the when Pac and MJ died.

this should be a lesson to the industry in general.
when you have the option, just we need structures in the industry.
when i first heard he ws rushed to Tai Solarin, i was expecting him to be moved to somewhere like St. Nicholas, Lagoon or that fancy one next to Mega Plaza, assuming he was moved to Tai Solarin in the first place by good Samaritans.
All these record companies are only good at producing silly spin and moving units within Idumota.

I don't think it's fair to blame people for a person's death when we have access to very little verifiable info about all that happened. I know we are all very very angry, but we should not, IMO, let our anger cloud our judgement so much that we start to throw all sorts of accusations around.

I don't think it is unreasonable to assume that everyone involved did their best to keep him alive. From the first responders, to the hospital staff, to his management and family. If any of us were one of them, we would want people to assume we did all we could to help, and not use their frustration as ammo to accuse us of reckless endangerment. Not saying that is what some are doing, but it kinda seems like it. We don't know what  financial situation his management or family are in, we don't know how easily he could have been flown out of the country. . . Not sure how Visas and stuff work for emergencies, we do not know details that could help us have any real valid opinions about what happened. . . we just simply do not have any real info to base our judgments on. It's ok to have our opinions, but I think it may be wise to acknowledge that these are mostly uninformed opinions, and not start pointing fingers, especially when the charge involves the loss of a precious life.

The problems in Naija are deep. . . sooo many things could have helped to prevent this. From a seat-belt culture, to simple road safety practices, to street lights, to good public medical facilities. .  I doubt any of the people that were part of his rescue effort are responsible for any of these problems.

I guess my point is that it is unfair for us to blame the people who cared for him and were responsible for him in his last days. I'm sure this is as painful for them as it is for us. The last thing they need is people, who don't have a clue what happened, blaming them for this.

I met a girl at the club yesterday who claimed
she's running her I.T in LUTH. Asked her why da-grin
would die after being in comma for four days.

She said the cuts he had weren't that much, but that
he suffered internal bleeding, in which blood was
found in his brain.

The Recording Company he was signed with Killed him, If he was alive for that long after a care crash then it cud have been avoided. He cud have had a CT scan or an MRI immediately he entered t. Nicolas or that fancy hospital by Mega Plaza n that wud have told them where problems are n then it wud b taken care of, ppl die instantly from car crashes but if not a day or two after if the damage was really bad, he was alive for that long? Haba, someone was beign miserly or ignorant,

RIP Akogun omo Ogun.

May you rest in perfect peace and may God be merciful onto you.

@ To all fellow brothers:

Let's not be too sad that we miss a gem, always have it at the back of your mind that we will soon be there with him. This life is not for long , its too short. As we walk through this evil world, may God guide us through.

To those who think this life is as long as million of years and with that effect commit a lot of despicable things, please carry on, you have been implored, you wouldnt listen, carry on, but always remember the 6 feet. If you have this world at your beck and call, remember if the world doesnt leave you, you will leave the world.

Lets be good in every step we take.

Jesus said, do not weep for me, weep for yourselves.

Do not cry too much for Dagrin, cuz people will still shed tears for you when you are gone.

Adieu Omo onile!!! cry cry cry cry cry
Re: Da Grin Is Dead! by freshmoney(m): 6:28am On Apr 25, 2010
Bible says Count your days, so you shall be wise,

The moment you remember that someday, we will give ashes to ashes, and dust to dust, you would want to be sincere in all your steps taken.

My prayer is that, may God be merciful to us, he should , in his infinite grace, give us a long life and prosperity.

Im sorry if I say this, I am just saying it to glorify God. 3 years back,I had an accident fatal than the dagrin's , I had no single mark on my body, this shows that its not my destiny to die in a fatal accident. Lets not be moody too much, it is Dagrin's destiny. Believe me, he will be very happy where he is now than when he was in this evil world. If anyone of you had had an after-life experience, you would understand my point. I am not saying I am ready to die now oooo sad sad

Dagrin Orolomo Adieu.

Who knows if you live longer than this, people would detest and hate you so much and finally when you are gone, they would not even give a rat a.s.s.
