.and who orders them If not the powers/buhari and who is responsible for returning idps?
Boggles my mind how nigerian powers can make merry with a rich man while the country is in a literal state of emergency

Its not something to be humble about. It was an agreement, if you refuse to give them, they will build a dam across the niger in their country, this will reduce the speed of the current and water level here, so it will even be worse for us here. But on the other hand, we are giving them only a percentage and they are managing well, and have other sources of power too. What are we doing with the one we are generating here and all the plenty power plants. Nigeria is a laughing stock in Aftica. For a youth to be boasting about a table full of billionaires when majority of the country survives barely on less than 1$ a day tell you what our priorities are.
Useless country!!!
Shameless Leaders!!!
Senseless followers!!!

so river Niger flows from Ghana and empties in the Cameroonian highlands, well u learn something everyday. anyway what that guy above said about Nigeria supplying Ghana electricity is true and funny enough is true for most countries close to us and they are all owing us hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars. we are also supplying them gas for their turbines and they are owing us for that also.

Jealous of what? Use your head!
That response is epic and should awaken our consciousness on the real issues

bro that's not an epic response. truth of the matter is that we Nigerians want a magic wand wave which would give us stable power supply rather than thinking critically. the power generated by this country could comfortably supply three - five small African countries but not Nigeria. why? quite simply our population is growing to fast, this causes increased infrastructure which means increased electricity consumption. imagine Nigeria is said to hold one of the largest population of youths and if multiple baby mama birth continues, by 2035 our population would hit maybe over 230million, imagine that more power consumption and our power systems are just being upgraded at that time to 2015 population. as we grow in population, so also we will lag in electricity.

It's not jealous my brother, the rest of the world already know that our power sector sucks, and the stupid idiots that are parading themselves as our leaders care less about it,so far they have diesel generators to power their homes.

1.What's our total power generation?
2.How much of such power is distributed?
3.When was the last time you saw a proper power layout job carried out.
4.What census are you using? Just know that Nigeria have never carried out one!

The report, titled ‘World Population Prospects: The 2017 Revision’, said with such development, Nigeria would overtake the United States in terms of population just as world population would reach 9.8 billion people.
The report said “by 2050, the third most populous country will be Nigeria, which currently ranks seventh, and which is poised to replace the United States.
“Among the 10 largest countries of the world, one is in Africa (Nigeria).
“Amongst these, Nigeria’s population, currently the seventh largest in the world, is growing the most rapidly.
“Consequently, the population of Nigeria is projected to surpass that of the United States shortly before 2050, at which point it would become the third largest country in the world.
“In 2050, the populations in six of the 10 largest countries are expected to exceed 300 million: China, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and United States of America (in alphabetical order).

Isn't it funny? He is accusing me of going by hearsay, but is speaking out of his ass about something he knows nothing about. Which part of South Africa did those Nigerian soldiers fight? LMAO. South Africans are many things, but cowards we're not. Where was the longest war fought in Africa against colonialism? SOUTH AFRICA. How long did South Africans fight white people before they were successfully disarmed? ONE HUNDRED YEARS. Did South Africans ever stop fighting for themselves. NOPE. Even white South Africans call us violent & barbaric. So how is it possible that we sat down & let an army of toy soldiers fight our battles for us? What a fùcking joke.

If they single-handedly defeated the South African army back in the day, then what's stopping them from fighting for Nigerians against the boogeyman haunting your forests & villages right now?

Nobody fights for South Africans. South Africans fight for themselves, yesterday, today & tomorrow. We fear nothing & noone.

This is what we did every single day, until Mandela was released from jail. A true depiction, not fairytales.

You're saying I should maintain my lane when you keep quoting me.

i will quote again about it here. read this reply again. Nigeria military helps. Nigeria is also reputed to have provided secret military training at the Kaduna first mechanized army division and provided other material, financial and diplomatic support to African National Congress guerrilla forces. Who can quantify the millions of dollars, that Nigeria spent on the A. N. C. during the struggle to liberate South Africa.
