odilibe:

nilesat 201 is not at 7deg yet , according to real live time satellite tracking, www.n2yo.com, is at 6.93degree at moment.

Good evening Odilibe,

Satellites are not always positioned in the exact degree as the waver in between the longitude given by a few degress.
Below is a sample of how satellites maneuver around the Longitude the are located at,

Right now Nilesat 101 is @ 6.96 Degress will Atlantic bird 4 {atlbird 4a as per n2yo.com } is @ 7.21 Degress but both satellites are considered to be in the same orbital position @ 7° West
The wavering in degress during the the course of the day is what cause increase and decrease in satellite signal strength.
Here in kenya i can receive both Nilesat 201 @ 7° West and Atlantic bird 2 @ 8° West using one offset dish plus one LNB in the same position.

Happy viewing

toba:

how will they pay salaries nah?

@toba,
Infinity doesn't need to go scrambled before they can pay salaries. The best satelite tv stations make
their money through advert placements and that is how they pay their staff. Multi-tv is one good exmaple.
Also, look at MBC on nilesat. They've been free now for years and they keep increasing their number
of channels. Others can copy thier business model.

BTW,
Have you been following Galaxy TV on Astra 2b recently? That station is proving to be da bomb oooooo!
It will unseat AIT very soon they way they're going.

twinskenny:

Oga george if they like let them scramble, i wonder how many people will patronise them, they can repeat one movies 10 times a day,

@twinskenny,
Imagine! They're not even showing anything special and yet they're rushing to scramble?! What if they were
the owners of multi-tv? Na im be say them for don lock all the channels and throw away the keys since! grin

@ PITO BABA,

i agree with you on the w3a issue.
when i was in akwa-ibom serving, my 80cm dstv dish was used for both sirius and w3a, with w3a mbc @ 67%,12729 tp @ 61% and globecast & 58%. but here in ibadan, my w3a with 90cm space dish have never been more than 57% skewed @ 2 '0 clock,while 12729 tp highest have been 49%. all adjustment prove abortive even to get both sirius n w3a together. i tried changing lnb,no show.

until a friend confirmed that his mbc3 has always been 67% in the same ibadan, not too far from my crib.
Guess i need to get a strong 90cm or 1m dish or better still get dstv dish.

will definately get back to the house on findings

About w3A tracking
Keeping lnbf at 3'oclock facing east with 12728 on H gives u green with no much hard labour,while facing your dish 90'from east or south east with lnbf facing 3'oclock with 12728 on V gives u green with no much stress.12605V/29950 is the best tracking freq as sirus is the closest freq with w3a.Any dish apart from original dishes like strong 80cm and 1m,eurostar dish and space ll stress u to get signal from west.This problems is common with fake space dishes in our market.I ll advise us all to strict on strong dishes,1m strong the one with mytv logo is the best for w3a.

@ilish you decoder is not dead, get a RS232 cable look for a working 69x and do a unit to unit transfer. You can also go to strong website an download d 69x software and an uploader also 4rm d site. Use d RS232 cable 2 upload d software u downloaded 4rm d site on to ur decoder. Use generator 2 do this.
Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by Nsq(m): 11:24pm On Sep 30, 2010
The first time i also try upgrading my decoder, i thought i had fried my decoder. I later discovered dat d 109 software i uploaded was either corrupt or bad. I later when and look 4 RS232 CABLE, i also downloade SRT SOFTWARE uploader 4rm strong site and i connecte my Pc and decoder using d rs232 cable and i uploaded d 110p software using d uploader and my decoder came up. That's all u need to do 4 ur decoder to come up again.
