It was on my wrist b4,but some1 advice me to hit it with a stirrer which i did and sice den av not seen it appear again up to 3years now. Its a blood clot which is not adviceable to operate

Mine comes and disappears...it is not very obvious like yours though .

Don't ever think of operating it cos it will resurface. Its fatty and it needs to dissolve.

That's most likely a ganglion and the hands are it's most common sites, not a life threatening condition but you may want to have it removed surgically for cosmetic reasons.

I had it on my left wrist and doctor told me if they do surgery there is a posible it will return back , so I allowed it dry out, it took about 3 years bit it has gone finally

I hope you know nairalanders won't give you a sensible suggestion. See a doctor preferably in a general hospital.

I got mine removed through surgery some months ago, dr. said it could re-grow tho.

Have an Ultrasound scan of the lump in order to know its nature. The scan machine must have a color Doppler feature so as to ascertain internal vascularity within the lump. This would help guide the surgeon if surgery is actually required. The swelling could be sebaceous cyst, Lipoma or ganglion. I can direct you to where you can have the scan done. Pm me

Minor surgery can correct it but that is just waste of money. Use cloth and hot water to massage it every morning. It will go away naturally.

It's a very common thing in my area, keep disturbing it by hitting it against the wall. Over a while it will disappear. That's how I and those around me got rid of ours.

It is most likely a ganglion cyst, which is a non cancerous growth commonly located at joints involving tendon sheaths.
It could be left alone if you don't have troubling symptoms and don't care about aesthetics.
Main modality of treatment is surgical excision.
Problem is that is could reoccur.

OP I had similar on my wrist also, though it was about half the size of yours. It looks like a Ganglion Cyst.

I was advised by a doctor to leave it and monitor it for a while, as it would go on its own but if it didn't I should see a doctor after a couple of months.

Guess what, this topic reminded me of mine and I saw it was significantly reduced on its own (to be honest it's hard to notice now) as mine was small and was prominent when I bent the affected wrist.

Your best bet is to see a doctor (whom is not hungry for surgery lol) and get proper advise, but to me, I would say leave it and monitor it for some months.
