Yup, I think that the rudeness is a kinda defense mechanism. Some are just plain rude with very little home training (and you can spot them immediately) but most just use that to put up a guard.

Nigerian girls ave a big f$%kin attitude problem. They come here with their naija poverty attitude & all dat shit. Tryin 2 size u up. Thank God i dont even mess with em. But when they see u dating an american, they get upset & jealous. they need 2 open their eyes & see wats around em. They cant compete with African Americans, whites, careabean queens & God bless my latinas. Even girls from other african countries are better off than d naija women. I recently bumped into an old school friend of mine in times square (NY) this was a girl we schooled in abeokuta together, they sayed in Sagamu, she had her elementary school in ayetoro oh, na OSU she go Uni oh, she has just been in the states for maybe 18months tops, she started fuming with this very fake "garage american accent", well i felt she don dey watch Cosby show maybe, next she told me not to compare her to Nigerian ladies cos she likes mountain climbing, scuba diving, horse riding and all sorts, I was like, how many days this one don stay here!

I felt so ashamed cos i was like this is very "petty",

Me i just feel it's just one nasty attitude borne out of partial illeteracy and this "I-never-thought-I will-make-it-here" syndrome,

and when they see you with a small "cocoye" they start beefing telling you how whites have flat this, flat that, smelly odour and all that, any day anytime, if i'm overseas, give me a whity, if i dey naija, give me an "agenebode chick" at least dey have light skinned ones like oyinbo!

Thread should be Nigerian Women every where and not just abroad.dont get me wrong,I love my Nigerian sisters and the few that I know here are cool as long as you know who you are and not try to impose anything on them.but i must say that about 12yrs ago,met this american girl in nigeria.she was there for this student exchange program stuff and after we got talking for a while,she asked me why do Nigerian women have a permanent frown on their faces.I said she must be mistaken and thought to look up what she said and see if she was right and MY OH MY! was she right,i started looking at women randomly back then just to see the look on their faces and wow! about 80% had frowns on their faces and even my sisters and mom and I asked them but no one could give me a concrete response.I would point at the way Nigerian women were raised but at the same time I cant speak for nigerian women so its best they speak for themselves.

No doubt whites & blacks tend to ave more attitude & that can be understood cos of d soft way they were brought up but 4 naija girl dat should be more understanding, and for em 2 ave an attitude plssssssss. Like i said they size u up. But a white or african american will love u even if u live on d streets.
